The Tie Reaper is a venerable dropship design dating back to just before the Battle of Yavin. The design was updated for the modern era with the addition of a Cloaking Device that allows the insertion of special operatives without detection by enemy forces. This variant of the Reaper is exceedingly expensive and manufactured in low numbers due to the difficulty of procuring rare elements for the stealth module. Other than its electronic countermeasures and stealth features, this model Reaper is a capable but unremarkable drop ship. While the Reaper can provide limited support of disembarked troops, it is less capable in a support role than competitor vessels of this type which have heavier and more diverse armament.
This craft was tailored to be sold to the Empire to supply their special operatives and military intelligence teams, and is not purchasable by any other nation state and House Mecetti (tha manufacturers.)
