- Small but Strong: A per design this model of it is smaller then the Ultiman pattern and carrying a small caliber of bolt. Evens still the Tirgus is still easily on par with heavy blaster pistols and can cause decent damage to body armor.
- Ranging: The lower caliber and more generalized role means that the Tigrus Pattern lacks the longer range of other bolt weapons, restricting it's combat use.
Though being a very good addition to the Astra Militaria the Ultima Pattern bolt Pistol still suffered from a few draw backs that did not make it useful in several aspects of combat, close quarters being one of them. This due to the pistols large size and ammunition restriction impacting it's performance in this field and though a skill fighter could use it without much problems the need for a more all purpose weapon was put into production.
Though having a more simple design the members of the Mechanicum still put a large religious emphasis on the creation of these weapons though making them faster then the Ultimate pattern still putting in just as much care. Once more this slightly rubs off on those that use it who over all take a liking to the powerful but still manageable weapon, the Tigrus becoming the more standard issue bolt weapon for the professional and front line troops.
