- Easy to use: This weapon is designed for people not used to personal combat. It has a low recoil and can fire a flurry of shots before it has to cool down or be reloaded.
- Easy to conceal: This weapon is small and fires silently, making it easy to prevent it from being seen or heard.
- Inefficient at range: This blaster is made for personal defence. While its low recoil allows for relatively accurate fire at range, it will do far less damage, if any, when outside of its effective range.
- Hard to acquire: These blasters are expensive and ordered in very low quantities. It is rare to see them on the market.
This weapon was designed and produced upon being ordered by Chaussidier who wanted to ensure that the captains and naval officers under his command could defend themselves if they were in personal danger. Therefore, the engineering team focused on making a blaster that was easy to use for those who were not combat experienced or had been able to escape personal combat for some time.
The final product was a blaster pistol that had a very low recoil and would not easily overheat. Thus allowing the user to fire off many shots relatively carelessly and with relatively good accuracy. This made for a powerful weapon in the right hands - but due to the nature of its production, it was rare for it to ever be in the 'right hands'. Instead, the blaster was more similar to an ornament than anything else. Even in the right hands, however, the Tilsiter blaster has a rather limited range.
With its small size and silent firing function, this blaster can be easy to conceal. If fired in a somewhat noisy environment, it can also be hard to hear. Still, it does make noise and blaster bolts are bright, making true stealth nigh on impossible for a user who wishes to fire this weapon.
