PERSONALITY

Tilzi can be quite upfront and aggressive. Yet she also surprises many with her curious nature. She will often stay quiet and absorb her surroundings. She's perfectly comfortable in silence, yet can be conversational when something interests her. She is, however, not very good at concealing it when something does not.

For a Nightsister she is well travelled. Her great grandmother was adopted into the clans. Many of the males in her line were too, but obviously they have had very little say in the traditions of her line. Her family have maintained connections with groups outside of Aaris III and as such Tilzi is quite open to other belief systems and ways of life. Just as long as others are content to leave her clan with theirs.

Away from the clan she tries to keep her more misandristic views to herself, but still has a habit of ignoring and talking over men.

HISTORY

Youth

She was born into the Twisted Root clan, so named because their home was built in and around the roots of an enormous Sychwan tree that covered nearly ten thousand square metres at the base. Most of the hunters of her clan were swift and agile, but from a young age Tilzi was ungainly and awkward. Tall for her age, she never embodied the Grace typical of her clan. Where others her ages tended to skip across the winding roots, she often stayed on the ground. She suffered many injuries from the local fauna in her youth. Despite falling behind her peers in skill Tilzi was an aggressive creature who rarely backed down.

Tilzi had two younger sisters. She grew somewhat jealous of Preena, two years her younger, who displayed a far greater aptitude for hunting. There would always be a rivalry between the two, but they grew far closer over the years.

Coming of age

Only after puberty did Tilzi start to grow into her body. Instead of a gangly and unbalanced creature, she started to become powerful and athletic. By the age of fifteen she not only caught up with her peers, but began to overtake them. She ducked and weaved through the roots of the great trees as well as any, but when it came to combat training she still used her aggressive nature to hammer away until her opponent's resolve broke.

Relatively sporting conflict was common among the clans of her continent. When she was first permitted to join a raid she broke the ribs and jaw of a member of the Blue Bramble clan and stole two males. Neither particularly held her attention so she sold them to a member of a third clan after a couple of months.

Empress Teta

Tilzi’s clan had a number of connections outside of their home world. The practise wasn't entirely spurned by the inhabitants of Aaris III, but it was considered an oddity. The arrangement was made through her aunt to apprentice under some minor nobles on Empress Teta.

She learned to wear a dress and how to use cutlery. Not just cutlery, but around twenty different implements that she had to be able to name and choose appropriately. She learned how to dance and how not to hit males who spoke to her improperly. The notion of a male pursuing a female was rather odd, but as a young woman in a new world she secretly found rather exhilarating. She had a brief relationship with a minor noble.

But her distant relations taught her much, much more. Tilzi was shown how to refine the base magics already known to her and given a fundamental education in illusions and alchemy. Her brutal lightsaber style was refined into a derivative of Djem So. At night she often turned to towering city scape into the jungles of home and became a hunter once more. The Krath were moving in her district and several minor political rivals needed to be removed.

Her apprentiship came to a sudden end when she was recalled home. A band of dark jedi had turned an entire population into furry Sithspawn and the matriachs were concerned that they would fall under the gaze of the Black Rose. She left her apartments with a renewed curiosity about the outside galaxy, a much more refined skillet and a wardrobe more appropriate for civilisation.

Kathol Outback

At twenty one she returned home. Her younger sisters both remarked that she “smelt odd” yet they were glad to have her back. Word reached them before long that the black rose had been eradicated by a loose alliance of freedom fighters who now fought new threats in the Kathol Outback. Tilzi now found her home familiar and comforting, but small. Even on beast there was a limit to how far she could explore.
