Time Bomb

The Jedi was getting her feet back underself after having been away for a long time. It wasn't too well known what had happened to her or why she had taken the time for herself. Upon her return to active duty, she was given a mission to start some preliminary investigation of some potential clandestine activities on Coruscant. Normally this area was outside of where the Silver's went, but the rumblings that she heard through the grapevine indicated these happenings were taking place at the old Jedi Temple.

She had been to Coruscant once before and had an interesting trip. Having met a nice young man, she had visited his tower that was full of life and greenery on a world that was more metal than nature. He had taught her a skill within the Force that she had taken away and practiced on Iridonia with a great measure of success. Pleasure wasn't why she was here this time though.

Knowing she would need some help with this mission, she researched various people and companies that might be able to assist. Deciding on working with an older man, they had worked out some details via messaging and agreed to meet at the spaceport. After providing him with an image of herself, she would be relying on him to recognize her since she wasn't going to be able to see him unless she brought Sage.

That really wasn't in question, Sage was a small seeing eye wolf and sat most often either in a pocket or on her shoulder. The green furred animal might be thought of as a pet, but he was far more than that to her. He was her eyes when she needed them and a forever companion. He was an intelligent being even if he could only fully communicate with her. Not once thinking of leaving him behind, he rested in one of her pockets and stirred as they arrived.

After handling some prior business, Myles remarked on how well he was doing considering being out of the game for a considerable amount of time. Work was steady and the pay was good, it was enough to make him smile. He didn't get too comfortable in his pilot chair however, as a small blip came from his datapad.

Another job.

This job however was from a client he has never worked with or worked against. She required his presence at the Coruscant spaceport. She provided an image of herself in the message as well, which made identification in the spaceport much easier. Biting down on a piece of dewback jerky, he engaged his hyper drive with Coruscant as the target destination. Myles didn't care much for cities but they were usually crawling with jobs--and threats. The history of Coruscant however, that was a different story. Since Davorak had a Pre-Empire ship, he somewhat enjoyed reading up on old events that happened way before his time. The city-planet was home to the Old Jedi Temple as well as home of the Galactic Republic shortly before the Rise of the Empire.

The Tempest soared through space as he got closer and closer to Coruscant. Curious about the job, he had confirmed message to his client and informed her that he will be there shortly. The grizzled veteran had no idea what would be in store for him.

When Myles arrived and started looking for her, he would find her in the cantina holding a drink. It had been a good amount of time since Jairdain had had something to drink outside of juice or water. If he approached her, he would notice she was in thought and appeared to be staring into her drink. That wasn't entirely the case, but it was what it looked like.

She wasn't wearing typical Jedi robes and had given those up years ago. Wearing what she was comfortable with, the only way he would be able to know she was a Jedi or Force user was the lightsaber clipped to her belt. Her shirt today was a light green, but like normal, her pants were a dark brown and her boots were well worn. Everything was of fine quality and tailored to fit her. If he had any doubts about getting paid, just looking at her should tell him that worry shouldn't be there.

One thing that wasn't obvious about her was that she was physically blind. The only way he would be able to tell this was looking at her eyes. They were unfocused. However, a small companion made up for that. In one of her pockets rested a small wolf.

Setting the drink down on the table, it was almost untouched and she pushed it away from her. Dark memories came to her mind and that was a path she didn't want to walk again.
