Time for another

Alright, throw it at me.

I would like to see what you guys think of me as a writer. Be it over any of the characters I have, Current, old, or non-existent, I would like to hear the pros and cons of what you think of my characters.

As well as myself as a writer.

So Let me play one song before you all start bashing me.

Not really a criticism here, just a little nitpicky thing. I noticed you write in first person. I find it odd, personally. Especially since most people tend to write in third person, including myself. I never could quite pull off first person writing. How do you do it?

On a side note: Thoroughly enjoying the thread with Mirshko and Xander :p

[member="Anija Betna"], Well thanks. I guess?

I write in first person because I have found it easier for me to right. In third person, when I first started, was difficult because of something along the lines of "He swing the sword at him, using his strength to usurp him from his throne." Considering that when I started writing, I was not good at anything to do with language. I started when I was 15, and I had the reading level of a fourth grader. I could hardly understand most of peoples posts because they were very long and had words that I may of may not have understood. So I started in the first person narrative. It was easier for me to understand "I swung at him"

And I just went with it. Sure, I can do third person. I just now prefer not to. Considering that by the end of that year when I changed to first person, I was then at the reading level of a college student, it helped.

I do it because I guess now it just comes naturally to me. I have also heard from multiple people, time and time again that they like my writing because of how I can easily make the words flow, and transition from third to first person narrative. As well, they can find a connection to the character I write because the reader reads it as themselves performing the action. Not just some character. It makes them more relateable. And Spell check doesn't want to work on my computer so it may look like I have bad spelling right now. lol

Either way. I guess it comes down to me. I enjoy reading my past threads and relating to them. I mean, when I write fights, I literally will act out what is happening to get a grip of the situation, and then act out what I am doing. Hence why my fights are so detailed. Because I know exactly what I am doing, and how I am performing it. So writing it in first person narrative helps me in creating better threads.

Not sure if that is the answer you wanted or not, but here is my explanation. :)
