Time for Wrecking (Mia)

[member="Mia Monroe"]

Laekia had been a bit of an adjustment for Siobhan. For one, there was a distinct lack of fawning servant girls in Mia's apartment! The former Mandalore was also as immune as ever to Sio's admittedly somewhat crude attempts to flirt with her and get into her pants. Alas, poor Siobhan did not know about a certain Bard because Mia had not told her! Her closet was also less bottomless since Siobhan had resisted the fashionista urge to bring an absurd number of clothes with her. However, she had concluded that accompanying Mia and Galina on their trip had also been good for her. For one, she would not just leave her daughter and stay on Kaeshana, though she knew that in a matter of days she would have to return to help Anya oversee the evacuation. Until then Mirien had things well in hand at Firemane.

But she had concluded that she needed the time off to clear her head and take her mind off the worries that plagued her, after having buried herself in paperwork, bureaucracy and the knowledge that within a frighteningly short span of time Kaeshana would probably be wrecked. Of course, she still kept some tabs on business matters since it seemed people still liked to flood her with messages, but mostly she was successful at getting away from it all.

It was also a chance to try and reconnect with Mia. In the light of that at the beginning of this thread we would find Siobhan in a training room. This writer is taking the liberty of presuming that something of this nature would be found in the place. Siobhan's present activity consisted of working-out on the ground via push-ups and some yoga, dressed in tight work-out pants and a tank top, her dark brown hair tied back into a ponytail. She had clearly been going at this for quite a while, as the glistening sweat showed.

Yes, this writer fully admits that to a large extent they posted this pic for fan service, but that is not a bad reason. Even though she had mostly settled down since her fight with Klaxxi during the Second Battle of Gehenna, Siobhan had kept in shape and felt she needed the exercise. Perhaps now more than ever given how grim the Galaxy had become. So whilst waiting for Mia, she had gone through her own personal work-out session.

Today was supposed to be training day. Hopefully without all the backstabbing and uncomfortable revelations in a certain movie! There were plenty of things Mia could show her, given that a certain talking Warthog had been so kind to endow her mind with his knowledge of almost every Force technique in existence. As for Siobhan, she had plenty of experience in telekinetically wrecking things. Hopefully the neighbourhood would be able to survive both of them! After all, Laekia had a nice beach.

Laekia was far from home for Mia. For her, it was simply a suitable place to rest. Safe from the rest of the galaxy and the only truly neutral group she'd been with the people here were concerned with only one thing; the wellbeing of their own. Relief would be offered to those who asked for it, provided there were no strings attached that would bring any kind of hell down upon them. Mia appreciated this, she appreciated that they liked to keep to themselves, for it meant that she could keep to herself. There were times though when she missed her little hut on Manda'yaim. When she missed drinking exxcessively and fighting just as much with her brothers.

No. Not brothers. Not anymore.

A self declared dar'manda, Mia was still trying to adapt. She'd made the mistake of going it alone and meeting Galina had opened to her eyes to just how much damage alone was doing to her. Now Rel was back in her life, she felt more capable of settling than she ever had. She entered the training room quietly, smirking slightly at seeing Siobhan already well ahead in preparations. She dropped her bag at the side of the room and began unclipping her weapons and dropping the on top. Safe as they were here, Mia was too stuck in the habit of taking an excessive amount of weapons with her whenever she left the house. Just incase.

Free of all her holsters and scabbards, she was in loose combat trousers and a fitted tank top. "I'm sorry I vanished for a couple of days."

Seeing Mia enter and hearing her speak Siobhan arose from her exercise, stretching slightly and then grabbing a towel to wipe the sweat from her brow. She had been going at it for a good while, but she could use the exercise. "It's ok. No big. I'll just have to make up for the time lost by oggling your butt twice as much," she joked very lamely. They did better at joking than with heart-to-heart talks. Siobhan did not really know what Mia had been up to but as much as she wanted to push...prying would probably do little good. Mia was still adapting...to being alive again, to declaring herself dar'manda and leaving the Mandalorians. Oh, and her boyfriend was back but she had not told Siobhan about him at all!

"I'd ask what kept you so long, but I'm trying to be less nosy. Doesn't make me any less interested though. You ok?" she asked, giving Mia a good one-over, checking for any injuries. After all, her battle sister just happened to be a big trouble magnet...sort of like Siobhan, which was probably one of the reasons they got on so well! That said Mia seemed...different than the last time Siobhan had seen her. A good deal more settled and at peace with herself.

Mia chuckled. "I'm fine...better than I expected to be." she paused, her expression pensive for a moment. "My boyfriend decided now would be a good time reappear on the galaxies radar after disappearing without so much as a goodbye." She shrugged and found herself suddenly very interested in the little bit of dirt under her nails as heat rose in her cheeks. "It's a very long story."

Politics had forced them to keep their relationship a secret, now Mia had no affiliation with anyone that mattered in terms of politics. She wasn't on anybodies side but that of her friends and family. Still, having kept quiet about it for so long, she felt uncomfortable discussing it with anyone, especially a woman who made daily advances she had to swat aside.

Mia's reasos for not being open about her relationship with a certain Bard were understandable and logical. Siobhan however lacked context...and since she was a self-centred did not think that discussing your relationship with someone who made daily advances on you might make you a tad uncomfortable!

Besides, Mia was like a sister to her! They ought to share everything. Maybe Siobhan was being just a tad petulant. "Wait...you have a boyfriend? What's his name and how dare he disappear without telling you?" she exclaimed. "All this time I was trying to get into your pants and you were dating someone?" she pouted. In all fairness, Siobhan had known Mia was not interested in her! "Well, you better spill now, Missy."

"Like me dating someone would have ever made a difference to you trying to get into my pants." she retorted looking up at her battle sister with a slight smile. "His name is Rel Connory, and his reasons for disappearing without a word are justified. Didn't want me chasing after and trying to protect him, which, I would have done. As for why i didn't tell you?" she shrugged.

"I didn't tell anyone. Couldn't tell anyone. He was a senator in the Republic and I was a high ranking officer in the Mandalorians, who, by the way dropped a fleet on their capitals doorstep. Our factions were not on the best of terms, so we kept our relationship a secret, not wanting to jeopardise our situations. Now...well, now I suppose it doesn't matter. He's still a senator and I'm not anything of importance to the mandalorians anymore. So. There you have it. I have a boyfriend."

"Yeah...that's true," Siobhan had to admit. "But you can't blame me! I mean, you're badass and hot as hell." Aww, Sio was being such an adorable fangirl and her attempts to sleep with Mia were as doomed as ever. She listened as Mia spoke about the man in her life, absorbing what she said. When Mia put it this way...she definitely could not fault her for keeping the relationship, even though a part of Siobhan felt a bit sulky about not being told.

"Ok. I understand why you didn't want word to get out. It cannot have been easy for you. But I am glad to hear you have someone...even if it means you're not gonna have sex with me! You definitely deserve someone." Siobhan said sincerely. Sure, she was a rather lusty woman and since she was the sexist type a bit sulky about Mia having a boyfriend, but she cared about the woman.

"Think I saw Connory on the news a few times. Seemed like a rare senator with a brain in that madhouse. If he's your boyfriend I definitely have to meet him," she stated with a slight smile. After all, she had to make sure that he was 'good enough' for 'her' Mia. "What's he like? How did you two meet?" Apparently Siobhan was getting eager to hear all the details! Perhaps at some point Mia would have to remind her that they were also here for training and not just to hear about the Liberator's love life!

"Siobhan..." she said with a sigh "we didn't come here so you could interrogate me about my love life." She started to stretch easing stiff muscles and drawing in the force. "But if you must know, we met during a mandalorian op to take..." she paused "feth I can't remember. A planet, he helped me take out a few pirates. Then he kept popping up to help us out. It was him who helped us build the Shev'la Kal, the two of us were prospecting for stygium and..." she trailed off, eyes glazing over for a moment. She wanted to go back to that glittering cave, go back to that moment where nothing in the galaxy could have brought the two down. She smiled slightly and shook her head.

"It was Rel who convinced me to go into hiding and helped me deal with Velok's memories. It was Rel who built beskar hands for me when Nemene cut mine off. He's always been there." she shook away the sudden softness that had come over and raised the stony walls around her that were normally there. "Stop interrogating me. We came here to train."

"But I like interrogating you about your love life! It's so sweet...and you really need to get laid. I think I should lock both of you in a room with lots of toys," Siobhan declared. Totally a fool-proof plan. Nothing could go wrong. Well, Mia might break down the door and punch her! Maybe trying to meddle and troll the woman was not the best idea.

Anyway, training. Yes, that was the reason they were here. Well, on second thought the Liberator might just punch her for that comment anyway. Countdown...3...2...1. "Ok. I'll stop poking. Let's get to training."

A fire lit up in Mia's eyes and she took a quick step forward, right fist snapping out to crack Siobhan across the jaw. A short burst of anger, quickly satisfied by the connection of her fist. Siobhan knew it was coming, Mia heard it in the sudden change of interrogation to lets train. She'd crossed a line.

"You are such a shcutta sometimes, Siobhan."

She brought her hands to rest on her hips and let out a long sigh. "You wanted to learn tutaminis?"

Sometimes the best way to establish boundaries was to punch someone in the face. Same applied to shutting up people who were too nosy, trollish and crossed your personal boundaries. In this particular instance it was quite efficient at getting Sio to shut up.

No feelings hurt. Siobhan thought violent Mia was hot...but knew better than to tell her that! Getting punched in the jaw hurt. Ouch. Her flesh hand was raised to rub across her jaw that had just received the loving attention of the Liberator's fist. Good thing Mia no longer had beskar hands! "Yeah, I'd like to. I've done some training with it, but I reckon I'm not that far yet. Hmm. This is the part where you set me on fire?" she asked sardonically.

Mia grinned. "Yes, Legs, this is the part where I set you on fire." She dropped her hands from her hips and raised one in front of her palm facing upwards. Frowning slightly in concentration she lit the air above her palm so it appeared she was holding the fire.

"I need to know what you can do before I start setting you alight at will. So, hand in when you're ready."

"Dealt with fire before. Fought a talking Ork Sith Lord who tossed fire around like nobody's business, my first lover was a pyromancer," she chuckled slightly at that. Adril Tythorin had been a very fiery one!

"I'm good at barriers, mainly telekinesis based. Of tutaminis I know the basics," as she said these words she drew upon the tangled web of the Force to gather her power and let its energies flow through her. Her knowledge of tutaminis was not extensive, but she knew the basics. Everything was energy, she would have to sync hers to the flame, dissipating or absorbing the heat. Of course, there were limits to what a human being could safely absorb.
