Adeline ran along the tree's branches. The long tail behind her flicked high as she tried to keep her footing. Her back paws clutched the thin branch that she perched upon. Adeline began to reach up for a steam of berries. Her few paw waved in the air as she tried to keep her balance the best she could. Adeline was rather close to Ghostling territory. So close she could even hear a few barely audible sounds coming from that area. Her mother had ordered her to see if she could forage any more local nuts and berries after they shared a heated discussion about Adeline going into the less dense areas of the forest that hid the rare species.
Of course she could not listen. Instead of bring the fruits back to her mother and father, she popped a few of the tasty berries in her muzzle. Adeline's large ears twitched and turned as she tried to hear more of what was going on outside of the forest. Slowly she finished off the fruits, she could practically feel her small stomach filling. There was something screaming inside of her to return but, she couldn't help it. She just had to get a closer look and see what all was going on. Her nose twitched as she moved closer to the civilization. Adeline gripped the trunk of a tree as she managed to reach the ground.
It was rather unwise for such a creature to be dwelling on the forest flower, especially if one was not hidden by the foliage of vegetation. She moved in and out of ferns and flowers. The more she moved outside of the camouflage the more she could see. The scents and noises began to grow stronger the closer she got. Her tiny paws trotted gently on the ground. A gentle grin grew on her muzzle as she caught the glimpse of technology and modernization. Their nets dangled just in front of her.
There were several small traps lined up around the village. Their natural glow and aura almost attracted her to the extent of just blankly walking out into the open. Her long tail began to burden her. Adeline's tail began to swish outside of her camouflage. She would have noticed her exposure if she had not been transfixed on everything that was unfolding. She would not have been so amazed if this wasn't the closest she has ever gotten to the village.
