Tiny Paws and Furry Coats (Romeo)

Adeline ran along the tree's branches. The long tail behind her flicked high as she tried to keep her footing. Her back paws clutched the thin branch that she perched upon. Adeline began to reach up for a steam of berries. Her few paw waved in the air as she tried to keep her balance the best she could. Adeline was rather close to Ghostling territory. So close she could even hear a few barely audible sounds coming from that area. Her mother had ordered her to see if she could forage any more local nuts and berries after they shared a heated discussion about Adeline going into the less dense areas of the forest that hid the rare species.

Of course she could not listen. Instead of bring the fruits back to her mother and father, she popped a few of the tasty berries in her muzzle. Adeline's large ears twitched and turned as she tried to hear more of what was going on outside of the forest. Slowly she finished off the fruits, she could practically feel her small stomach filling. There was something screaming inside of her to return but, she couldn't help it. She just had to get a closer look and see what all was going on. Her nose twitched as she moved closer to the civilization. Adeline gripped the trunk of a tree as she managed to reach the ground.

It was rather unwise for such a creature to be dwelling on the forest flower, especially if one was not hidden by the foliage of vegetation. She moved in and out of ferns and flowers. The more she moved outside of the camouflage the more she could see. The scents and noises began to grow stronger the closer she got. Her tiny paws trotted gently on the ground. A gentle grin grew on her muzzle as she caught the glimpse of technology and modernization. Their nets dangled just in front of her.

There were several small traps lined up around the village. Their natural glow and aura almost attracted her to the extent of just blankly walking out into the open. Her long tail began to burden her. Adeline's tail began to swish outside of her camouflage. She would have noticed her exposure if she had not been transfixed on everything that was unfolding. She would not have been so amazed if this wasn't the closest she has ever gotten to the village.

Romeo was at the said village, he came here to offer food, and better building material to help the people here. The galaxy saw Romeo as either two things, a tyrant king of darkness, covered in lies. Or, they saw him as a man trying to do right by the worlds, a fair, and just king. Here. though, Romeo was an unknown, he had to word his sentences right, speak softly, and make no sudden movements. The small creature would have noticed him in the center of the villagers, handout foods, and fruits from his world as charity.
"There is enough for everyone!" He said in a gentle voice, and smile.
It wouldnt be long till it was all given out, and his men would begin helping fortifying the villagers' homes. He would slip off, near the edge of the forest, unaware that he was being watched. His lightsaber dangled on his hip, and all it's beautiful, but basic glory. Romeo looked into the forest, "So beautiful.." He stopped to listen to nature, and all her majestic creations.

Her movements were very hesitant. one wrong step and she could be in a trap or have been caught by someone's eye. Of course the Ghostlings would not enslave her but they would be rather curious and coax her out with shiny objects and valuables. There was an obvious influx of chatter the peaceful and frail people. Maybe there was a secret event or gathering happening. They didn't seem to be sad or frightened, instead their voice spoke a basic language and it would sound to her keen ears to be very light. Then a man stepped out from all noise. His reason for venturing out was questionable. Though, it was clear to her he was not of the Ghostlings.

Adeline's knowledge of other species was very, very limited. To her everything that was not a meter tall and did not belong to the Ghostlings was to be avoided by all costs. Her ears perked up almost immediately. On his hip was a lightsaber, while Adeline never got to actually weild on that fit her size it always sparked curiosity in her mind. Moving along the tree line, she walked slowly in order to keep the noise at a minimum. Her small heart pitter pattered as she neared him. He seemed to distracted with the forest in front of her he would not notice a little Wyren starting in his direction. Of course she could have been wrong. Adeline's large eyes moved from behind the vegetation. There was a glistening from the weapon upon his hip. The only thing holding her back and leaping onto his possessions was her sanity and common scene.

Romeo closed his eyes, and let his ears do all his sensing for him. The wind blowing softly caused smells of sweet forest to enter his nostrils. His ears twitched almost, though, as they heard the small brushing of limbs moving. Something was in the tree line, coming his way. He had been trained to pay close attention to his surroundings, to all details of the world around him. He did not move a muscle. He did not know if this was a creature of prey, or predator. The king knew nothing of the creatures here. From his pocket, he produced a large fruit, a Delvas fruit. He took it to his mouth, and bit into the sweet meaty part of the fruit. The juices ran down his hand, and onto the ground. His lips formed into a smile, the fruit was soooo good.

Adeline's strong nose reacted quickly to the scent of pure fruit. Maybe it was her stomach or maybe it was just her curiosity but she slowly emerged from her hiding. First her small grey paw came into the open and than retreated for a few seconds. Than popped out her head. She could see it's eyes were closed. It was about time her curiosity pushed her out into danger. All her life she had been taught to run away from things like this but her resentment with her mother this morning gave her a feeling of rebellion. Adeline moved rather quietly, edging her way into the direction of sweet fruit.

The closer she got to him the larger he was. Right now she was on all fours. Adeline extended her neck as to smell the fruit's juices on the earth. Slowly she licked it, recognizing the fruit she looked up. She stood up on her back legs. Her ears roughly reached passed his knees. They twitched furiously as she was afraid something may jump out from behind or this man making a sudden move. Maybe he was not looking to capture or enslave her. Surely he would have done it already or gone looking deeper in the forest if that was his mission. The fur around her neck was ruffled slightly as she stood. Softly she looked up and yipped in Wyrn, "You wouldn't mind throwing a piece down here, would you?" Her long eyelashes batted as they tried to battle against the bright sun in her eyes. One of her small paws reached up towards the fruit. It closed and opened as if she was asking for something he had.

The animal was probably the most adorable thing he had ever seen. His eyes watched the creature come up to him slowly, watching the small fox's body language. When it finally got to him, it stood on it's hind legs. It was taller then his knees, and he couldnt help but smile at her. When it started talking to him, he realized instantly it was of sentient nature. It was wanting his fruit, and it was asking in the most cutest way possible in his eyes.
So slowly bending his knees, he knelt to it's height, and offered the fruit to the animal.
"You're adorable." he said in a soft, and cold tone. His face showed a honest nature about him, his smile genuine, and his eyes glowed a gentle red.
"You've been watching me for sometime little one. I am Romeo." He said, sitting down on his rear end.

Adeline was rather surprised when he spoke a basic tongue, something being around Ghostlings had gave her knowledge about. He slowly made himself down to about her height. She watched him closely as held out the fruit she desired. Slowly her hand reached out and grabbed the fruit. Adeline opened her jaw and took a large chunk out of oh so sweet fruit. It tasted much better than what little fruits grew inside the depths of the Datra forest. He made a comment of her cute appearance but she did not say anything, it was what ever Ghostling form said to the Wyren upon meeting one of the small creatures.

She opened her mouth once more and took another bite of the fruit. Adeline jerked a little when he sat down and than she relaxed her tensing muscles. She began to mock him, sitting as he did and not like a creature but more like a civilized being. "Hello Romeo, I am Adeline," She said softly, her voice was as sweet as the fruit she translated in basic. Even though it was a little rusty. "and you are the first to notice us." Her ear twitching began to slow and now she had one in the man named Romeo's direction and the other ear rotated sharply to the side of her.

Romeo nodded at the villagers, and smiled more. "Well...I am not like them. I am not like most people in general." It was strange, yet amusing to sit here, and talk to such a creature, and in basic at that! "Good isnt it? It comes from my planet in abundance. I came here to help the villagers out...are they are threat to you here?" He leaned back on his hands, and cocked his head. He was pretty sure Adeline was mocking how he was sitting, but found it just that more cuter.
His eyes watched every movement she made, he was studying her. It was obvious she was listening out for something that maybe coming their way, but she had relaxed some, and come to an opinion that either Romeo was not a threat, or she was just that used to other people.

It wasn't exactly natural for the Wyrden to be sitting as she was and it in fact gave her quite an uncomfortable pain by bending her legs so much. Shifting she held the fruit in her mouth and reverted back to sitting as a non-sentient would. Adeline blinked a few times when he mentioned aiding the villagers. It was actually suprising to her. "No, no threat. We don't worry about the people of these villages." It did not take her long to polish off the last of the fruit. She took her paws and licked the juices off of her fur.

Between licks she acknowledged the deliciousness of the fruit. "We'll get lucky if we can get bland fruits and nuts. This is the best thing I have ever had." Adeline's tail moved behind her when she remembered why she even emerged from her safety. It was for the lightsaber. She knew what the Ghostlings were doing now and had eaten the fruit, all she wanted now was the lightsaber. It was natural for her to want to just scurry over him and snatch off the saber. One problem, it would take away from her fast paws if she was carrying something that weighted only a little less pounds than her whole body

Romeo watched the little one stare down something on his person. It wanted his lightsaber. "You dont want that...trust me. Its a weapon." He warned. "But I will turn it on for you." He unhooked the deadly weapon off his belt, and switched the blade on. The black blade snapped up with a hiss, then it hummed in an up right position.
"I made this myself." He turned it off, then began to open it. He pulled out the black krayt dragon pearl that was inside the hilts emitter. "This gives it its color." He held it out for the little one to see, not thinking it would take it from him.

Adeline snapped back from her thoughts about running with his possession. She lowered her large ears to the back of her head when he said it was something she would not want. Part of her was upset that it was not something she could have and the other part was she had no idea exactly how this weapon worked. Of course she had seen them and read various manuals about them but never once had she held one or seen one in action. Maybe she was just unaware of it's power. In the end she would be forever interested with the technology behind all of it.

When he armed himself, the blade frightened her and Adeline jumped up for a quick second but than moved a little closer to examine it. She looked at the blade and listened to the sounds that came from it and than back at the man. She perked her ears up when he turned it off and than took something out of it. Adeline was immediately fixed on it's shiny appearance. While it was a pitch black the sun was hitting it in such a way that it shoot a thin glare off of the pearl. Her front paws kneaded into the ground as she took one and managed to extend one of her small fingers and her claw as she pushed the pearl in his hand to see what it would do. Even though nothing happened Adeline jumped up and skidded around a little bit.

Eventually returning back to him after her little burst of excitement. She wasn't sure how to feel about it at first. "This, this, this." Adeline's breath was wiped from her as she poked it once more. She lowered her small body to the ground and looked up. It was very hard for her to contain herself. "I don't know what to say, I have never seen one of these.." Than she paused and straightened herself. "Why black? I'm sure there are other colors, no?"

Romeo chuckled as she would poke it, and then run from it, then come back for more series of pokes. When he could contain himself, he began to hover it with the force, allowing it slowly spin, letting the sun hit it in different angles. "Why black? It is a neutral color, as I am a neutral being, it fits me." He laughed a little more, the small creature was adorable. "Oh I wish I could take you with me. Your curiosity amuses me so, and I could take you to see such sights." He smiled in joy at these thoughts. The little furry creature simply put him in a much better mood then what he had been in.
"Would I be allowed to see your place you call home, or is that against their rules? I would love to help supply your home with food as well."

Adeline agreed with his reasoning for wanting the color as it was. Her little hand come forwards as if she was going to take it, but she didn't. Almost immediately she was distracted by the glistening light. When he was using something actually make it move that did not require actual physical contact with the orb. She gave a more than puzzling look that was going on around her, Adeline's parents had never really explained what the force was to her and she never question if she actually had the power, she did. Her ears laid down almost immediately upon hearing he wanted to take her with him.

She would never forgive herself if she just walked up and left her parents. Honestly, she could care less about everyone else but her parent's safety and well being was her top priority. "I don't think I can just get up and leave.." Adeline began to shrink, her little paws came together and her tail wrapped around her body, almost all the way around. He large ears were not pinned but they were moved slightly down and to the side, conveying a rather guilty emotion. "You might not even get within a mile of my home without a whole group scattering." The offering of food and supplies was something she wished it was so simple for the small society of dwindling species. Maybe they would allow his aid, maybe not. It was all out of good timing and how someone would present themselves.

Romeo understood what was going on in the head of the young one, when he reached out through the force, he suddenly felt that she could use it too, if taught how. He pondered what to do. "Allow me to make an offer...to your people...I want to help them. Your kind is to great to not help." Romeo stood to a crouch, and offered his hand. "Come, I have a great plan."

Adeline's tail swished as she pondered and raced around with ideas of what her parents would say if she brought in someone who was not a Wyrden and not to mention, armed. She watched as he got up and lend her his hand. Gently she placed her small hand onto his but it could only wrap around his thumb. Pulling herself up Adeline began to walk on her hind legs. It wasn't to bad to walk as he and many other species did. "OK, we can give it a try but I'm not making any promises."

Though upon walking it gave her a little waddle. If he choose to follower her, she would excessively look back to make sure he was following in her paw steps. The walk, or waddle, back to her home was rather silent but Adeline spoke up. "Most of them do not know Wyrd so I'll do the translating. Make sure, whatever you do, do not make fast or quick movements.." Her ears twitched and swiveled as she pushed her way through thick and thin vegetation.
