BIOGRAPHY:
Tiran Homask, of the First House of Homask, was born on the icy-cold, mineral-rich world of Mygeeto, one of the sister worlds of the Muun race. His father was a high court lawyer, working as a consultant for many a corporation. His mother, in accordance with her station, taught piloting lessons, and owned her own school. Throughout his academic career, Tiran was a very shy, socially awkward boy who prized himself on his quick ability to calculate equations, his accounting skill and, even for a Muun, his way with money. He almost never talked to anyone, not even his parents. Yet, his first business venture , the export of some speeders he purchased from a company seizure auction, went remarkably well. He bought the nine bikes for 50 credits each, as no one present at the event would want them, except for a not so well-off guest who was just betting for the thrill of fueling an auction. For the 450 credits his father lent him (at 12.5% interest of course, going with the Muun tradition of never letting a bargain go to water), Tiran, now in his early teens, even though he had never communicated with a being other than a member of his race, managed to sell those bikes, for 300 credits each, to a Mandalorian traveller wishing to make a quick buck off some deal. Having some money of his own, the young Muun used it to purchase several textbooks on trade, commerce and finance. Getting his way with it, he was awarded an honorary Alkorik, which, in Muun education, is the equivalent of a Doctorate of Commerce. He then went from company to company, working as a consultant. He taught as a Visiting Lecturer at the Yag'Dhul Institute of Technology, training none other than the Echani ambassdor Raksta Alsuanis, along with many business leaders from the Core Worlds. This left the Muun, now in his late twenties, with plenty of good trade connections, which would help him in his future business endeavors. After teaching and working in consultation as well as playing the stock market, Tiran finally decided it was time to strike it on his own and open his own business. Working entirely on his own wealth, he founded Homask Shipping and Mercantile, finally being master of his own.
His story begins as he opens the business and looks for ships to start off.
