To catch a Murderer

The winds whistled restlessly through the mountains high topped peaks. A blur of snow blew perpetually, covering everything it touched in a white haze. Among the white plains only the occasional jagged rock stock out of place. However there was one rock that seemed to move carefully along the icy terrain. Enzo Carpathia dressed in all white and black furs had been tasked with meeting a fellow assassin by a Chiss official named Jastor Krane. Once they rendezvoused they were to go to the massive city below ground and find a man by the name of Tunak Blahn and quietly dispatch him. Tunak had been charged of high treason and crimes against the state. The man had become a small time legend as a local folk hero who fought against an oppressive regime. It was rumored that not even the best Chiss agents could find him. That was true until now. They had pinpointed his whereabouts to be located within a abandoned warehouse. The structure was lightly fortified and appeared unguarded. So, they reasoned it would be no problem for a pair of elite assassins like Enzo and @Signal. So, as Enzo trudged through the snow he payed no heed to the chill winds that crept up his spine. The mission was plain, simple, and easy. The faster Enzo got done the faster he got paid.

Enzo walked through the knee deep snow when he found Signal in the endless arctic wasteland. Signal inquired as to the whereabouts of the terrorist and the amount of pay. Enzo merely sighed and lowered his head, thinking to himself This is suppose to be my partner? Regardless they had a job and Enzo would see it done.

“If you had read the briefing you would know,” Enzo said softly “Just follow me,”

They seemed to walk nowhere for miles. All around it was only white, but Enzo’s sense of direction had been well honed over the millennia and eventually they came across a blue icy cave that would lead them to the underground city below. Warm steam rose out of the vent in great billows. Enzo hopped in and slid down the tunnel, not waiting for his partner to follow. As they neared the bottom Enzo could hear the distant sounds of city streets. He finally landed on a rooftop and saw that the cave had actually been the product of a factory stack pouring out smoke. All around them white alabaster buildings with beautiful blue trim lined the streets. Large blue icy stalactites hung from the ceiling and Enzo couldn’t help but stare in wonderment. He had never been to Csillain city. People walked the alleys and Enzo jumped from the rooftop landing amidst a darkened alley way. After being sure that no one saw him he ventured out onto the streets.

When Signal landed on top of the building at the end of the tunnel, he is familiar with this place as he grew up on this planet. He glanced everywhere and his partner was nowhere to be seen. So he came to a conclusion that his partner wanted to split up so they can cover more land to progress faster in finding this guy. He mainly focused on more worn out and abandoned buildings as that would be a good place to start finding someone.

After searching all the abandoned buildings in the area, he decided to contact his partner to see if he had any leads. "Hello Enzo, it's me. I have searched all the abandoned buildings in the area and I couldn't find anything. If you found something that could help us find this guy, send me a message."

Just like that, Signal continued on to search places where he thought would be a good place to hide a warlord, places that are unexpected, maybe a hotel or a shop.
