To Climb a Mountain...

[member="Junko Ike"]

Farr landed his starfighter near the village at the mountain's base, hopping out of the cockpit after shutting down the engines. The boy ran a hand through his messy brown hair and observed the farmers going about their day, children playing with each other.

"Huh...weird, I don't see a big palace..." Farr muttered, only to yelp as his companion: an R3 unit, zapped his butt. "Hey! What was that for!?" Farr glared, R3 booped and pointed up toward the mountain. Looking up toward the mountain, Farr's eyes widened and his jaw dropped.

"Woowwww! So that's Maizuri Palace?" He hopped up and down excitedly, "I always wanted to go mountain climbing!" He started to race off after retrieving his cloak with it's hood in case it got too cold, as well as a backpack full of mostly food and some tools to repair R3 with, just in case.

"Bwoop, beeep brwwop!" ArThree said.

"No, you ain't comin' with me!" Farr said.

Another series of indignant beeps.

"Because you're too clunky and big! I don't want you to tip over and end up killing yourself by falling all the way down!" Farr sighed, despite what some would say, Farr considered droids just as alive as himself...he saw ArThree as a friend even.

A more persistent series of beeps along with R3 pointing to the ship.

Farr frowned, "That's no fun! I don't wanna take the ship up! ...Hey wait....YOU can take the ship up by piloting it from your little seat up there, can't ya?" Farr asked with a smile.

Silence.....then a series of excited beeps and R3 hovering off the ground with his boosters.

=A bit later=

Farr was trekking up the mountain, showing off by using the force to enhance his speed. He heard R3 in the ship coming up behind him, and timed a jump so that he landed on the ship's front. "Haha! Let's go!"

R3 beeped and booped frantically.

"But I don't wanna get inside! C'mon, where's your sense of adventure? I'll be fine!" Farr said. The ship came to a slow hover as it finally reached the first set of steps to get to the palace gates.

Farr hopped off the ship and ran up the stairs excitedly, "Go find a place to set the ship down!" Farr called as R3 booped obediently and soared off around the side of the palace.

Junko looked at what there was around the palace. The landing pad to the east was there for them as she knew the Yovshin were heading off and bringing in supplies where it was needed. Construction purposes from here to the village below. New supplies and the jedi temple was off in the distance near the massive lake here in the mountains. The valley wrapping around and going into the large forest that ran up and around the mountains. The palace was build onto the mountain here with the gap between it and the other side of the mountain range there. She had been setting up more ways to explore the area below again while providing all new ways of handling the different locations within her own region.

"Princess there is someone approaching and a ship." One of the Yovshin she had brought with her from Atrisia was standing there in the traditional armor, jar'kai blade on her hips when she was walking and the helmet hiding her face. "Thank you." The jedi princess stood in the robes that had been being designed for herself and other royal jedi, those rare few who had it as part of their heritage before she clasped her hands together within the sleeves of the robes. She was walking through the hallways showing the sections of window that looked out upon the massive forest below. Junko went to the other side though that wasn't carved into the mountain to have a better view of the large staircase leading up towards the palace doors.

It was still an impressive sight and from this height she could see clear across the valley into the area where the lake was and the surrounding sections of it. The massive underground tunnels, the fissures that led into the ones they had fought some of the dangerous and interesting creatures from Shri-Tal and the system in general from before. To the Aoi temple, the jedi's lake side temple that from the surface seemed fairly small until you realized that it like many of the places here was built more expansive underground. CHambers, tunnels and caves all designed to give the jedi a place to train and the lake itself had a constructed landing area for larger capital ships.

Then her eyes drifted to the ship that was coming up and the person there with a smile presented. An interesting way to coe and talk or visit. She was certain she had no idea who it was but most people who came here came from the Order of the Silver Jedi which meant her duty as one of its knights was the important task. She could present herself and act accordingly before walking into the large entrance chamber itself. The main doors of the palace at one end with the soldiers and her Yovshin there defending in case but also cutting through the mountains to the sections in the back where her throne was located with its back to the sheer cliff and drop leading into the forest.

Junko walked up the small dais turning around to sit in the aurodium throne where there were gemstones and jewels encrusted into it so that it was a throne made for a royal. Her own interest in some of the things they were doing and going to get to see presented here as her saber using the crystal the white lotus was always able to be at her side. She looked out showing her hairpiece as the gemstones and the smokestones within it made her skills with illusions and mental trickery enhanced to send it out for others as well as the augmentation of her robes. To give her skills and stamina many others were unsure of with the super light weight wintrium meshed vine silk synthweave.

"C'mon ArThree! We gotta hurry!" The young man's voice rang throughout the halls, followed by frantic beeps and boops. A boy skidded to a stop before the entrance to the throne room, his eyes wide with childlike wonder as he looked at the beautifully decorated throne room. "Wow.." he said breathlessly.

That was when the R3 unit came rushing around the corner and couldn't stop in time before colliding with the boy..sending them both flying to the floor right in front of the throne room.

"Agh! G-Get off! You're heavy!" The boy appeared to be quite strong, able to shove the R3 droid off of him and back into an upright position.

R3 booped indignantly as Farr wandered into the throne room, looking around him in awe until his eyes set upon the woman seated on the throne. Walking briskly up to the throne he bowed respectfully, "I'm Farr Benisho, I've been sent to be trained as your padawan."

Junko could hear him before she was looking and able to see him, the sounds of a droid were there as well when finally he arrived the padawan as he would be known until he got closer to her and introduced himself. His bow though was good and she remained there seated with a nod of her head to the boy. "Welcome to Shri-Tal, I trust is was not to difficult to get here?" She was curious, the trip from the jedi temple here took only a couple of hours if you walked and was considered a beautiful view, though most used the local Jun-La creatures who could cover the distance very quickly provided they were at a full run. All a matter of urgency if you needed it she supposed but rising up stood there bringing her saber with her.

One swift motion and it was on her hip when she was walking towards the stairs leading down into the throne room to get a better look at the boy. He seemed presentable, maybe a little tired and his droid was something that would be getting tracks possibly on the floor but she could work with him and teach him while motioning with her hand. "Come along." Her feet moved and it looked more like she was gliding with the robes on then walking as her feet and boots were not visible, the different things they had in the palace showing and murals from the planets past as well as some from the more recent were here like when the jedi fought taung force here in the valley.

"Welcome to my home padawan, I am Junko Ike one of the knights within the Order of the Silver Jedi and leader within this valley. Helping the emperor of the planet when he is sick handle more of the regions." THe Imperial city was the closest and largest city there with the high walls and the imperial tower a massive building that went underground so that all would be able to see it. She herself was prepared to work on more things as from here on the mountain top you actually could see it. With keen eyes and the right light the massive tower was on the edge of the horizon as she passed a mountain looking out upon the massive forested area below.

"This will be your room." Junko stopped at it, opening the doors to reveal a large chamber with chairs and a couch that looked out upon the large gardens of the top area. "The garden connects to my bed chambers through the garden should you need anything." She went over to it showing the large garden with the bridge going over towards her bed chambers that had guards, the high walls and trees with blossoms on them as she was walking around it. The bedroom itself was another large room and it was large for him. Junko was walking through the garden while small fish were in the water below with a look on her face, guards on the walls and more places to sit and meditate or relax.

Farr's eyes bulged at the large living quarters he was presented with. "Wow...t-thanks! It's very spacious isn't it?" Farr asked her, admiring the decor and looking out at the garden. Farr placed his large backpack on the floor propped up against the wall before seating himself on the couch and fiddling inside the pack. He pulled out two Corellian apples and ran up to her, offering her one.

"So...are you really a princess? That's really neat!" He said cheerfully before biting into his apple.

"Do you ever get many visitors up here? The place is pretty big....don't ya ever get lonely?" He asked. "Have you had a lot of students?" He continued.

Upon finishing the apple, he pulled out a small utility knife and sliced up the apple core into manageable bits. He stooped down over the garden pool and gently sprinkled the diced remains of the apple into the water. The fish reached the surface and started gobbling them up.

Junko was looking at him when he ran up to her asking questions about her and the place. Just a moment with an apple which she was interested in and walked with the apple and took a bite. "Yes I am a princess, my family was part of the royal family on Atrisia and by extension part of the Royal Family here on Shri-Tal. THe worlds share their heritage and families live on both worlds." She took another bite and thinking about where she was and how large it was... well able to comfortable hold six thousand people in rooms and designed using the latest in their living space. She could get lonely maybe... but she did have family a lot of family. "As to this place it is large but it is also built into the side of a mountain it was meant to be grand.

A small grin on her face though as the imperial city was ten to twenty times larger and this could fit in one of the small gardens maybe. The districts and sections of it would serve to hold at least five times the size of this. "And I have plenty of family that can come and visit, most choose to stay in places around the planet and within the system providing communications and helping the people of the worlds expand their knowledge of the force." She continued to walk and looked down at the fish while going over it and a small area of the wall that looked out from the mountain and showed the massive area below. From the edge fo the vilage to the forest and the mountain on the other side.

"There is not a lot out here but the river that runs through the forest comes out into the lake near the temple and continues on. From upstream there is the large polar region where they have been uncovering massive ruins of the world. There is a honeycomb of tunnels, pathways and even cities built under the surface of this world as well as in the sky." She pointed up at one of the moons that was green and lush looking. "THe entire mon is a jungle that has overtaken jedi ruins and a large standing crystal cave is there for jedi to be able to get their own sabers. So I have a constant stream of people here to keep me company as it is an ideal place to meditate and construct your saber in the peace and quiet."

"Wow..." Farr said breathlessly as he looked out at the enormous landscape. The village he'd just flown up from, the lush forest and the mountain across. It was almost overwhelming for him, then she pointed upward to the moon which was covered in green. Farr took a step back and his eyes went wide with childlike wonder, "Whoa....this place sure has a lot to it!" He said cheerfully. He smiled excitedly at the prospect of building his saber, especially on a moon!

"It's beautiful..." Farr said quietly, looking out at the moon and then back down to the planet itself.

R3 bwooped softly.

"So uh...now what do we do?" Farr asked bluntly.

What indeed. Junko was curious to see what if any skills he might have had. She would be able to work with that and provide a number of improved methods to train him. "We can do much now, your skills have been trained initially correct?" She was looking at him with a curious look on her face though while she walked. "Tell me about yourself, yur early training, any skills you might have. THings that will improve and help with how I can best teach you the lessons of the jedi." Junko stayed with it while she moved under one of the trees and sat down with a nod of her head. Interest in what they were doing as well as a number of small places she could look and meditate for herself and the padawan.

Farr excitedly flopped down in front of her, cross legged. "Well....I've lived at the temple all my life...at least as far as I can remember." He said, "I was a really good student, I think...at least the instructors said I was. I got the hang of deflecting blaster bolts from the remote on my second try!" He said proudly, "The masters all said I'm really strong in the Force!" He smiled happily.

"Though...I did start to get sad and doubt myself before...I was worried I'd be a failure and that I wasn't gonna be good enough...so...I packed up a bag and was gonna run away from the temple." He explained shyly. "I was halfway out the entrance when one of the masters caught me and I just...broke down crying and told him everything."

Farr looked sad at first, but then he cheered up: "But then he told me that I shouldn't worry! And that I'm destined to be a great jedi!" Farr smiled widely. "Whenever I feel down or start to wonder if I'm ever gonna make any progress...I just think of what he told me."

Junko was sitting there prepared for what they might be able to find or do. She had been developing a number of interest but that was a very generic one but she could go with it while sitting there and looking at him. The grass was rather calming like the force sensitive tree she had gotten while breathing in. "I see but that doesn't explain what you have learned, telling a padawan they are strong in the force and destined for greatness is a dangerous game. It has led to the downfall of plenty of jedi in the past." Junko was looking at him and under the tree now she could enjoy what was coming with all of the training that they were doing or going to be prepared to do. She just needed to gauge his skill.

Farr blushed, "Oh...sorry! I sort of...got carried away."

R3 booped mockingly.

"Well....I spent a lot of time in the archives studying history and different saber techniques...and I learned about the forms of Lightsaber combat, and how the Force is connected to all living things..sometimes I'd fall asleep in the Archives I was so busy reading!" He chuckled.

"I studied how to create my own lightsaber too! I can't wait to do that part!" He said happily.

Junko was looking at him and alright he had skills at least in knowing the saber forms which helped her. She was skilled in soresu and Djem So but specialized and preferred her Makashi form as her saber on hip the white lotus was impressive compared to most and the carapace casing on the hilt hummed and vibrated with the force energies while the hilt itself was able to spread her mental abilities with the smokestone. "Well as we progress and work with the skills you will be learning about the force and the saber forms. My specialty is makashi which goes with my saber and is more of a regal form the skilled are able to use." She said it while looking over the things that they had with most of her attention on some parts of the garden touching the grass.

Farr looked happier than he even had when he first arrived. This was it..he was finally going to get proper training! "That sounds great! When do we start?" He asked excitedly. R3 booped too. "Do I go up there and get my crystal?" He pointed to the moon. "Oh I can't wait!" he was bouncing up and down.

He noticed her saber and blinked: "That's a neat looking hilt! Did you make it yourself?" Farr asked curiously. "It's making noises...and I'm sensing force energy from it....! How did you get it to do that?" He asked, looking back up at her.

Junko was looking at him and they could start right away as she was thinking about it. Wanting to work on things but you needed to learn to walk and crawl before running and the jedi knight was moving. "We will be, time to head off towards the village down the mountain as she checked a couple of the things. The woman Aliza had managed to get back to her and she had a wonderful thing coming to Junko. A brand new product that was sure to be ready to knock her socks off and harm darksiders that were coming at them if there was a problem. Something that Junko could get behind as she was motioning for the padawan to follow her going towards the large doors to go down the stairs. "In time."

"Hooray!" Farr cheered happily as he leaped to his feet and followed his new master along. As they went down the stairs Farr heard some clanking and R3 proceeded to roll down the stairs past them. Farr facepalmed, "Sorry about him..." Somehow R3 managed to land on his struts upright upon making it past the last stair.

Rushing down beside the R3-unit, Farr sighed. "I think it's best you stay here, since we're going back down the mountain..." R3 booped indignantly.

Farr rolled his eyes, "Ya can't handle a set of stairs, you think you can make it down a mountain!?"

Junko looked at him and then at the droid while she was fully dressed and ready, the hair piece with the smokestone for herself, her jedi princess robes and taking a few other things over in her hands while she was walking down there. There were others coming to look at her and some of the Yovshin that stood at the ready looking out over all of the things. The medium sized village showed signs it was being constructed while she felt the force energies coming out from her robes. The movement she had letting it look like she was gliding and moving without moving her legs as opposed to just walking when she came there into the dirt and earth. The people in the village were happy to see her and she was one to feed them and give them everything they might need so it was a very helpful place as she walked with all of them.

Farr looked around wide eyed at the village, "So uh...you're in charge of all these people?" Farr asked curiously to his new master. R3 was busy booping and rolling around to inspect things. "This place looks like it's under construction...was it destroyed by bad guys and my new Master had to fight them off and stuff?" Farr asked one of the Yovshin.

R3 rolled around, looking at the construction. "Bwoop bweep!"

Junko looked at him while she was walking and. "Not quite, they are in charge of themselves and have been restoring their homes with whatever help I am able to offer them. All of these people came here when they saw the palace was offering land and area to grow. So they came here allowing themselves to have protection plus all of these new resources my family has developed for building homes." She was looking at it with a grin on her face though while the Yovshin were there. The tea house on the river was fully built and making drinks for the workers who were all around the village getting the places built up. A small medical center for everything and a stables for the Jun-La's and different creatures they had to ride around. Some speeders wer set up as well. "The village grows food for the area and we get to cultivate the land again for places like the forest."

"Wow...they all seem to like you!" Farr said as he saw several of the workers waving to them. "So...what are we doing now?" Farr asked excitedly. The Yovshin couldn't help but smile at the boy's attitude of carefree excitement.

"Are we gonna help these folks build stuff? Cause I can do that!" Farr said, wandering around the village.

Some of the workers whispered to each other: "Looks like she's got a new apprentice..."

"He's rather...excitable isn't he?"

Junko looked back at the guards and her padawan for his question. "We are going to help them, training is important but you need to be able to have the foundations of it. One of the biggest foundations is endurance. To be able to keep going and doing whatever ability you are practicing instead of running out of breath or energy quickly. So the first thing I want to see is how much you can do down here where it can benefit the people." One of the scouts came to see them while they were working on more of the things things, they had presented themselves with scouts in the forest to show them it. "Princess Ike, we found it, the orphanage ruins like on the map."
