Daiq hated the Force. She believed it to be a mutation, a disease that affected certain individuals. She spent her medical career studying it. Sometimes the disease was spread through genetics, other times, it just seemed to appear on it's own. What caused it to begin with, she wasn't sure. Midichlorians were the current theory and had been for centuries, but Daiq believed that there was more to it than that. If the Force was a living being of sorts, then it was a sinister one at that. Sometimes she imagined that she could even see it, snaking it's way throughout the Galaxy and holding people in it's clutches. That made her shiver.
There were certain ways to block the Force. Daiq was well aware of certain creatures and species with the ability to repel the Force and render it useless. She wondered if she could somehow tap into that and expand on it to create a cure. The Galaxy would be far better off.
And that was the basis for her experiments. Some might think of them as cruel, but she didn't think so. They were a means to an end. Force users were second class citizens anyways, although they liked to pretend otherwise. There was a reason why Empires and Republics of the past used them as soldiers and tools.
Mattias approached Daiq on one of her rare trips outside of her laboratory. He was her right hand man, her eyes and ears to everything outside. "I found you another candidate."
"You have? Good. Send me the file."
"Already done so. I'm sure that you'll find him very interesting. [member="Connor Harrison"] . My network tells me that he had gone through some kind of change, almost as though his sense of self is completely gone. Could prove an interesting subject."
"Have him brought to me then."
"The operation is already underway."
Daiq couldn't help but smile, her mind already running through all of the different tests that the Force User would go through. "Good. Notify me as soon as he's in custody."
Mattias merely nodded and left her side. Daiq in the meantime observed the wind blowing through the trees. The good days were coming and she would be praised for her efforts. Here she was; Daiq...the woman that saved the Galaxy.
