To Meet a Master (Coci Sinopi)

Its been quite awhile since he has seen a Jedi Temple but... This one was different. The boy somehow couldn't even remember coming to the temple. He felt as if he should go into a certain direction and just followed. He was never able to get much Jedi training but, what he was able to do was create his lightsaber. It took a few weeks but, it was definitely worth it. IN any case he continued to walk in. He took a breath as he felt relaxed to have entered the temple. Something about it felt like a home away from home. Maybe something or someone inside was waiting for him. Maxi simply shrugged and thought to himself "Just like the Force... Something that is always there yet so mysterious..."

One by one her feet pounded up the steps of the Silver Temple. She had been away from Voss for weeks now, either on rescue missions or battle. Her body still felt the fatigue of the battle on Midvinter and Coci had returned to Voss for healing. She was running late for her briefing with Master E'ron in which she would report on the recon mission though the Silver protected space, which mainly concentrated on the void between Silver space and the Republic. Much interest lay there and reports of a small Sith operation still would not go away. Nothing was found however, but Coci knew, a deeper investigate would be required.

She entered through the double doors and immediately the temperature of the room dropped to a soothing cool environment. The large force crystal in the centre of the room greeted all visitors and Silver Jedi as they graced the marble floors.

Coci felt the presence of someone new, a young man walking around but seemed to be lost. His presence strong and raw, untrained or at least in need of guidance. "Hello young man, can I help you?". she offered with a slight smile, a rarity, the young man is lucky today, Coci is in a good mood.

As he straightened himself up at the sound of someone else he turned. "Oh, umm..." He tried to find the right words. "Actually, you might be able to. I don't know why but, I found myself coming to this temple. I cant tell why but, I felt as if I was pulled here... If that makes any sense." He tried to explain the best as he could to whom he thinks is a Jedi Master. She seemed kind to him. The smile on her face made him relax slightly. Although he was still confused, he wasn't as uncomfortable as before. He couldn't tell why but he felt he could trust her a bit.

"Well the force works in mysterious ways", she said with a smile on her face as she spoke the cliché words. "It most likely could be the will of the force that has lead you to this place. Where have you come from?", asking now interested in the young man.

Coci walked over the the raised ledge that circled the blue crystal and sat down, she let out a long sigh as her body still aching from the battle, was pleased of the relief. "Come, join me and tell me about yourself", she said indicating for the young man to sit next to her. "I am Master Coci Sinopi, Silver Jedi Guardian, who do I have the pleasure of meeting?".

The boy had sat down next to her "My name is Maximilian Rei but, I prefer to be called Maxi. It's nice to meet you Master [member="Coci Sinopi"]. I used to live in Corellia but, I haven't lived there since a certain incident..." He seemed to have gotten depressed from remembering what had happen at his home. Although it had only been a few months since he had run away it still effected him greatly.

Maxi wasn't sure if he should tell her. Although he had a slight trust of her he still didn't like talking about it and even remembering it.

"Pleased to met you Maxi, and please call me Coci", she offered. However his mood shifted to one of sadness as he continued onward revealing some of his history.

For the moment, she would not push it or inquire further as they had only just met and he might not wish to speak of his past at this point. "I am Corellian, recently went back there for a visit. I had not been home in a long time. But I am lucky I have several homes now and one of them is here on Voss with all the Silver Jedi". she said.

"Maybe the force has guided you here to find peace?". She turned to look across the face of the young man, a picture of youth but there is more hidden in those young eyes, which for most part, is sadness itself, to have one so young experience hardships too soon.

"Do you wish to be Jedi?", she asked start out. "If this is something you would consider I would be happy to help you begin your journey and there are many others here to help as well".

His mood began to lighten up as they continued their conversation. It was nice for him to hear that she was also Corellian.

He took surprise to the planet they where on. Voss. This was quite a journey to forget. In any case. It was probably the feeling of another Corellian that made him feel home-like.

Maxi the looked back over to Master [member="Coci Sinopi"] . "Actually. I have had some training but it was never enough for me to do anything. I haven't been able to even call myself an actual Jedi but, I have this." He then took the Vibro-blade that was sitting on his back.

It was red and was oddly shaped for a regular Vibro-blade "This is my Lightsaber." He was finally able to smile, his mood brightened back up. Just as he had done this he pointed the fairly long blade in a safe direction and activated it.

The blade gave it another few feet in length. It made him smile knowing that he had made it himself. The light-blade was a light blue, to show his connection to the light side of the force.

It was the most unusual lightsaber Coci had seen before, not that such weapons did not exist elsewhere but until now she had not seen something as unique as this blade. A masterful piece of work in the crafting of it. "You made this?", she asked with intrigue and she left no doubt she was impressed with the weapon. "You are a very good craftsman". she smiled.

"But you do not have to carry a blade to be Jedi. It is a tool we use to serve and protect but it is not what defines us", she added. "To be a Jedi it is like a calling if you will. To wish to serve and protect those in need, the weak and innocent and in circumstance of war when the cause is just".

"It is a long journey and one that should never be entered into lightly and the path along the light is long". She stood up. "Are you hungry, or thristy? lets find something to eat and drink and if you stay I can find you some quarters for you to rest".

He smiled and nodded to her words "I believe I understand and, thank you for the compliment. I already knew the dangers and risks of becoming a Jedi and I know I want to become one." After deactivating the light saber and putting it back on his back he put one hand on his stomach.

"Well... I wouldn't mind having something to eat right now. Has it really gotten that late..?" He wondered. How long had he been here. All he really remembers was it being morning. At least before he came to the temple.

"Ms. Coci..? If I begin my journey to become a Jedi... Would you be able to teach me? I know its sudden but, you're the only person I know here so far..." He smiled rather sheepishly

"I know how difficult it can be fitting in somewhere new", and she did know this very well. When she first came to the Republic and later onto the Silvers, Coci was very much a loner, much preferring to work alone, and still does in certain circumstances, but slowly she has opened up to be more... sociable. A direct result of her relationship with Master [member="Thurion Heavenshield"]. He has taught her many things in the time they have been together and the most important thing of all is how to love. Being less cold and blunt around others, well she is still working on that.

"Yes if you like I will train you, you will be my Padawan and together we will walk the path of Jedi", she smiled as her head indicated toward one of the back doors in the main hall. "Let go to the Temple Mess, a place you should get to know well".

"Tell me what training you have had so far?", she asked as they walked the corridors to the Mess. "This will give me an idea on where to start".

He smiled as he heard her acceptance of him and, nodded to her as he followed.

"Well..." He began to think. "I only lightly know how to use the force and I haven't gotten any real training with my lightsaber." He chuckled "I guess you can say I'm almost a clean slate."

He stretched his arms abit as they kept walking. He had a feeling that this was gonna be fun in a way. He can finally do what he knows he can be, a Jedi.

As they made there way into the Mess, Coci lead Maxi to the bays. All manner of food was on offer to provide for all tastes and nutritional needs of all species. And the Chef took requests. She grabbed a tray and plate and began to fill it, with salad and meats. Coci had grown very partial to rare meat of late and looked forward to eat it.

"Hmm a clean slate, that is fine. We might begin with Telekinesis if that is fine with you, but if you prefer saber training firstly equally that would be ok". She waited for Maxi to finish selecting his food before she moved them over to a table by the window that over looked the Peach Orchard.

He took what he saw was appetizing and put them on his tray. There where meats, vegetables and, even some bread. He never ate anything too fancy. He just took what he thought his body needed.

"In my opinion, what we start on is up to you. I wouldn't mind on either one." He said before taking a bite of the food. He took surprise to how good it was. This was probably the best meal he has had in a long time.

She smiled as she watched Maxi eat, seems to her like he needed a good square meal and no doubt some rest. His journey to Voss unexpected, even for him and the force had brought the two Corellian together, for a purpose.

"Well I think we shall begin with TK and then move on to sabers there after", she said as she started her meal of salad. "But for now, take your time to get to know the Temple and enjoy it, there is plenty to see and do on Voss outside of Jedi duty. I shall allocate you private quarter within the wing for the Padawans and the day after next we shall begin your training".

She took up a large jug that had been placed on their table by one of the service droids, and poured them both a long glass of cold water. "Do you have any questions for me?".

Maxi had nodded as he took her advice. So far he was enjoying himself at the temple. After eating abit and wiping his face he responded

"In all honesty I don't have any questions. I'm really eager to start though. I don't know why but, I feel like this is gonna be fun." He smiled

"The food is surprisingly good here too. I haven't had food like this in.... Forever. Or at least as far as I can remember." He laughed a bit

She smiled as Maxi laughed, seeing the young man more at ease and enjoying his meal. Coci had just about finished her's and took up the glass of water to finish.

"Once we are done here, I will take you to your room. I hope that you will meet some of the other Padawans that live in those quarters as well", she said. "Get familiar with grounds and Temple, and I will send you a message when it is time for training".

He simply nodded after taking a drink of his water. He began to wonder who he would meet in the Padawans quarters. What would be really surprising is if he sees an old friend. He smiled as he thought about how crazy and, how great that would be.

From what he saw already this temple was a beautiful place. It looked like something out of the story books that he used to read as a kid. It had a home-like feel as well. it was warm and inviting which had to be a great thing for a temple.

After the two had finished their food, Coci stood up from the table and indicated for Maxi to do the same. From the Mess she lead him toward the back of the Temple and up the turbo lift to the second floor. Here is located the Padawan quarters, Knights and Master are located on the levels above and beyond that the Council Chambers.

She stopped at the main computer panel on the wall, and logged in. The Padawan quarters file appeared show the locations and allocation of all the rooms. She found one for Maxi and quickly keyed his name and further sending a message to Master E'ron informing her of a new arrival. She also informed the Grand Master that Maxi would be her Padawan.

"I hope these quarters are comfortable", she said leading him to the door and opening it with a generic code, he would change it later to some more personal. Coci did not enter his new quarters but stood outside.

"I will contact you soon Maxi", she said with a smile and turned to leave him to explore for the rest of the day.

He looked at the plates and such and wondered what would be done with them. He guessed it wouldn't matter in the end but, that wouldn't make much of a difference in the end. Although he wouldnt mind helping once in awhile.

He watched [member="Coci Sinopi"] as she entered everything into the console. He was probably going to learn how to use it properly but, for the moment he had no idea. He didnt want to be too nosy so he didn't know what she exactly did anyways.

He followed her to his room in the Padawans quarters and saw some signs directing people to the Master and Knight's quarters. It was interesting but what he really wanted to know was how many people where even in this temple. It has to be huge.

As he entered his new room he stretched one last time. He took in everything about the room and relaxed. He thought about some of the stuff he would have to bring in later. He turned to her as she asked if the room was comfortable and smiled "I could get used to this. I haven't been in my own room in a long time as well. Heck, however big this place might be I'm afraid I might get lost." He laughed.

As he heard she was going to leave he spoke up "Oh... That will be all for now? Ok. I guess I'll either see you around or I'll see you next time." He simply stood where he was. He was very excited for what was coming.
