To Mend a Broken Heart

Ashe Senari

Ashe was seated on the couch with her datapad, currently occupied with drawing Yusan. She had been worrying about him since he left for Zeltros. He told her it would be better for her to stay behind in case anything happened here while he was gone, but Ashe still wasn't happy about it. She would rather be with her friend in case he got hurt, but she had reluctantly agreed to stay behind.

As the week dragged on Ashe grew bored and so had occupied herself with drawing. She started out with drawing various places around the house. After the first few days she had finished drawing nearly every room of the house and moved on to drawing various scenes of her and Yusan sparring. She sighed and set the datapad down. Yusan had been gone for a week and Ashe was beginning to miss him alot. She glanced at the door hoping the elusive Echani would suddenly come storming through it. [member="Memorial"]

Yusan came in with cold dead eyes, hands clenched behind her back and his face devoid of anything resembling a smile in the least bit. His eyes did find Ashe though for a moment before simply looking at the wall again and disappearing into the training room that he had in the back of the home.

Ashe set her datapad down and followed him. She had never seen the older Echani look like that before. She openned the door to the training room and leaned against it. "Yusan... What happened?" She asked, for once in her life sounding timid. She had no idea what she could possibly do to help him, but she knew she'd have to find a way. She couldn't handle seeing that dead expression in his eyes when he walked in the door. She was used to him being happy and cheerful. She was expecting him to come home and tease her like he always did. Instead, he came home looking like a walking corpse. [member="Memorial"]

Yusan was busy chopping away at the droids he kept, the blade coming down in pure rage as he destroyed them one by one, not even caring if they were shut down or activated. He only turned his head when she spoke and his eyes were blood red, his eyes burning with pain as he shook for a moment and turned his eyes back on a droid that was coming to him and cut off its head before slamming his freehand into the droids chest and knocking it to the ground.

"Yusan... Talk to me, or if you don't want to talk let's spar. I hate seeing you like this," Ashe spoke a little more confidently now as she walked into the room. She was careful to dodge any strokes of Yusan's blade that came to close to her. She would be there for him whether he wanted her to be or not. If Yusan wanted to blow of some steam, she'd deal with whatever injuries were caused by sparring with him. She just wanted to show him that he wasn't alone. [member="Memorial"]

"Not right now Ashe." He gripped the blade tight and started to just slam it into the last droid, all form lost and his hands moving without hesitation. He could not stop himself, blow after blow, every strike full of hate and rage, his eyes shaking over and over with his eyes staring at it. He completely forgot about everything and could not stop himself from slamming the blade into the droid.

Ashe decided at this moment to do something dangerous. She stepped forward and caught his hand, making sure she was behind him reaching over his shoulder in case he tried to retaliate. She gently twisted his wrist to make him drop the saber. "Yusan... This won't help you. Let me make you some tea and we can talk about whatever it is that has upset you," She spoke softly, still holding his arm gently. She slid her hand down into his and squeezed gently in an attempt to be comforting. Blind rage wasn't the solution, she hoped Yusan would understand that. [member="Memorial"]

"Ashe, Get out of my way, Now..." HE glared at her her for a few long moments, hate, anger, and pain filling the crimson colored eyes as he stood there. Finally though, he broke down and dropped the saber, hearing it roll as its blade disappeared. His eyes closed and his legs gave out as he simply collapsed and he could not deal with what he had witnessed any longer, crying then and there.

Ashe fell with him and pulled him into her arms. She hugged him tight, letting his head rest against her shoulder. One hand stroked his hair while she gently rubbed his back with the other. She spoke to him gently, whispering quietly into his ear. "Shh, it's okay. You don't have to tell me anything if you don't want too, but I'm here if you need me," she told him, still holding him. Ashe didn't know if what she was doing was the 'proper' way to handle the situation, but it felt right so she went with it. She would hold him all night if he needed it. Sure her vest was getting a bit wet, but she didn't care. [member="Memorial"]

He just sat there, with her holding him and his emotional state broken to the point of him just crumbling apart and staring at the wall. He had no idea what to even do anymore, he waited revenge on every Sith that he could find, he wanted them dead or tortured like Carliah had been, and he wanted to gut Kaine Zambrano, and make sure the Demon never returned from the void.

Ashe took a deep breath and made another decision. This night seemed to be full of Ashe making odd choices. As she continued to hold Yusan and run her fingers through his hair she began singing to him softly. She remembered her mother singing to her when she was a child, before she had truly started training. No one in the galaxy had ever heard Ashe sing as far as she knew. She was quite good, but singing wasn't an acceptable activity for a warrior so it was something she only ever did when she was alone. She wondered briefly is it would cheer Yusan up. She hoped so because she had already started and she wasn't stopping now. [member="Memorial"]

He blinked as he heard her singing and listened for a few moments, straightening up and losing all focus on why he had been sad for the moment there. Infact her looked straight at her face in a bit of confusion before rubbing the bridge of his nose and reaching in to get rid of any lingering tears. "What are you doing?"

"Trying to cheer you up. It looks like it worked," she replied with a blush. The echani warrior was still hugging him as she spoke. She quickly let go and moved away a bit. Her face was redder than Yusan's eyes at this point and she was avoiding meeting his gaze. "So... Do you feel any better now?" she asked, still not meeting his gaze. [member="Memorial"]
