To Orick, With Love

Mandalore
MandalMotors

The armor that [member="Orick T'ane"] had was in very bad shape. It didn't hold up the way it needed to on the battle field. Ana had seen his helmet roll off and armor crack more times than she was comfortable with. He needed good armor that would help keep him safe so that he could come home to her.

Ana had originally wanted Orick's beskar'gam to be surprise present from her. Something she could make out of love and he could wear and remember her by. Since his joining of the Mandalorian's she knew it to be something he would need soon enough.

After giving it some thought Ana felt it better to include him on her plan. It would still be a gift just one in which he had input on. Making armor was a daunting task and she wanted to make sure it had all the features he wanted plus she needed his measurements.

This whole process could have been done at home but Ana thought it best to bruing him here. This way it was right there at their finger tips. First they needed to design it though which was why they were starting off in a meeting room.

Ana had left Orick alone in the meeting room to start sketching while she grabbed up a few examples to help facilitate the process. As she brought the box in Ana set it on the table as she took a seat next to Orick. "How's it going?" She questioned trying to peek her head over and see his progress. Ana knew how hard it could be to design armor. "I brought us some stuff we can play with and use to get ideas. " She had a few sketches too that she could share with him if he wanted. Once they had a solid plan she could get started on the actual forging.

The entire process of making one's armor was fascinating to Orick. He had never gotten the chance to do anything quite so unique with his gear before. Building a set of armor from scratch was far from taking different pieced from a vendor and having a set like that. he could put exactly the pieces he wanted together and add the armor that he needed in all of the right spots.

He looked over the data pad and scrolled through the many options and the large variety of plates that they could forge. He wanted something that would give him maximum protection on the vital areas, btu left him the freedom to move quickly. He was still learning how to use the cybernetics package that he had recently gotten, and he wasn't sure he wanted his armor to be too restrictive on his movements.

[member="Anastasia Rade"] had just returned with an assortment of different materials and he was thankful that she had offered to help. He knew that she knew what she was doing and it made this a lot less confusing for him. " I think I have an idea of what I want, most of my issues are with the materials." He looked at all of the things that she had brought and it only made him frown more. He was sure he had it, he just needed to get the non besk'ar parts figured out.

When making ones own armor there was a lot to consideration and Ana could tell he was a little overwhelmed. She couldn't blame him as she had been the same when making hers. Ana had been lucky to have a guide helping her along on what type of components she ought to have on the armor itself. Most things she found better to carry with her when needed so her armor wasn't so bulky. Ana had a feeling that he would be looking for something similar given his new cybernetics which made him just as fast as she was.

"The helmet is easy enough as I was going to make you a helmet like mine which would include some fun upgrades. A range finder ,Thermal vision, motion sensors and some other fun goodies. I know the body though can be a little more challenging because there is so much. What were you thinking of?"

Pulling out her datapad Ana set it in between them as she pulled up the sketch of what she had thus far in ways of armor for [member="Orick T'ane"] "I was thinking I could make you something light and a bit like mine but without the pink. You'll be able to take a hit from just about anything including a lightsaber. I have laser on my right gauntlet so I was thinking of one of those. I was playing around with retractable besked and of course a utility belt to hold other gear. These are just my initial sketches though." She smiled as she pushed her pad to the side. "What were you think of for your armor? I'll make you anything you want." Once they had a design in place Ana would go work on his armor and he could watch if he wished. This though was something she wanted to do for him.

Orick sighed as he looked over the design that [member="Anastasia Rade"] handed him. He liked the helmet, it was exactly what he wanted. The other featured were different though, and he would have to get used to them to use them effectively. " I was thinking of a dart gun instead of a laser. I know a guy that makes these awesome darts. I think those could be the types of things that would turn the tide in a close fight." He pointed to the part she had marked off for a laser and looked up to gauge her reaction.

" I was also thinking about something a bit different. We have been thinking of getting one of those Ysalamiri to counter Sith if they get too close. Do you think that we could find a way to put an armored compartment somewhere on the back to keep it from becoming a target?" He had no idea if it was even something that could be done, but he knew the lizards were small and the nutrient poles weren't large either. They should be able to create something that would work. He wondered if having a layer of besk'ar around them would hinder their force hindering powers.

he was sure that if ti was possible to do they would find a way. He was more than capable of carrying his gear into a fight, he didn't figure on needed a lot of stuff to win. He had been augmented and he had his skills as a commando, those would win him the day.

"Oh? A dart gun would work there nicely. What type of darts? Do they only fit a certain type of gun?" Ana doubted that he was looking to get the typical dart gun. These darts from his friend were probably laced in poison. The type of gun only mattered in that Ana wanted to get a picture in her head of how she was going to include that. There would need to be a little opening so he could fill the gun along with a sort of trigger. Ana wanted to make it safe as well as not bulky too. There were many things that she needed to consider in order to make him the perfect armor.

Before moving to his next thought Ana scribbled down some notes about what he was looking for. If it wasn't a special gun she would need to see what they had and what would be the best option. "I am sure I can come up with a cylinder that straps on the back when needed. I don't want to permanently have it on your armor though. I'm thinking it would be better as an accessory." Pulling up a new page she added down the cylinder as a side project for later after they finished with the armor.

"Do you know what color or colors you were looking at? Your free to have any color but pink," she giggled with a wink. Ana knew pink wasn't [member="Orick T'ane"] color anyway. Ana could see him in a black or gray color that complimented her armor.

"Just regular run of the mill darts. Someone I worked with a while back has these darts that play hell with force users. I was figuring on using it only when I needed to, kind of like a surprise, but a lot less fun." He said with a grin. He knew what to expect from any armor that was forged by [member="Anastasia Rade"], perfection. She wasn't going to mess up because she was very good at what she does.

He thought about what she was saying and it did make sense, having a special spot on the armor would complicate things, but if it could be attached then he could use ti when he needed to and the rest of the time he could leave slugsworth on the ship. No need to prematurely jump the gun on that one. That idea was also going to be a bit of a surprise. He figured the more tricks he could stack into his deck the more likely he was to come away alive when the day finally did come that he ran across a Sith or other similarly pissed off force type. " Lets work on that after then. That might be a nest thing to design and help others with as well."

He looked up at her, his face twisted in shock, " I can't use pink because you suddenly own that color? What if I wanted to be know at the Pink Mando too!" He said playfully. He had a few color schemes he had been looking at, but he had pretty much settled on a combination of grey and black with a few red highlights. " I have this sketch here, I think that will work, what do you think?" He said showing her the colors that he had been playing with.

"What do they do to a target? Those will work well considering everything." The Sith were quite literally knocking at their door. It was only a matter of time until they invaded or the Sith invaded their turf. When that happened she was sure that he would find a use for his darts. Ana would be able to easily incorporate this in his armor instead of the laser.

Armoring the slugs was a great idea as they were used all the time in battle. Being able to protect them would be good because as a Force User herself that container would be one of her first targets on an enemy. Ana did realize that with him wearing the component that it would dull her force sensitivity as well. She luckily had plenty of fighting skills without it so Ana wasn't worried. "Yes, I'm sure such a device would be nice for other Vode to have as well. Perhaps make a limited quantity. Anyway, that's for later. Back on topic."

Ana couldn't help but laugh a little at his response about the pink armor. If he wanted something pink, Ana could loan him one of her pink nighties or something. The thought of that alone made her laugh more. "I could paint a strip of pink on there if you really want." She grinned at [member="Orick T'ane"] as she took a good look at the sketch he showed her. "Seriously though this looks great. I shouldn't have any issues getting this forged for you. I only need you to be my model." As much as she wanted to only show him a finished product it needed to fit him properly.

Orick just smiled, " Well they are made out of Terentatek Shells, so the force can't affect them at all. So if i shoot one at a Sith, they can't just use that force power to sweep it away. I can also stick one to the wall and they won't sense it as they walk by. They are loaded with high explosives and are great party favors. They are expensive as all hell, one dart costs as much as most dart launchers, but the power is well worth it."

He was going over the armor patterns again and it just seemed so confusing to him. The layers of armor that they would use would make messing with him a risky proposition for a lot of people. Once he had the force slug figured out and finished he would be a tough customer for anyone. " Yes back to the task at hand." He said as she pushed him back on the topic at hand, his own armor.

"If you painted a pink stripe down my armor, I just might ignore it. Then again I might take a rough in the sripe and strip all the paint off. " He said with a smile. If [member="Anastasia Rade"] did paint a pink stripe on his armor he would likely leave it there. He really didn't care what other people thought about him, it was her opinion that mattered. " I'm the model? Do you need me to pose for you too?" He said with a smile while he moved through a variety of masculine poses.

"Ooo, I like that. I'll have to make sure to get you some of those." The armor along with a few of these Terentatek Shells would be her gift to him. She had a feeling that he would probably argue this point a little but she wasn't hearing any of it. Ana wanted to ensure that [member="Orick T'ane"] was equipped with everything he needed to protect himself from the Sith. Ana knew that with all she had in the works for him that she would probably be unable to use the Force but she was just as good without it so that little nugget didn't bother her at all.

She couldn't help but giggle as he flexed a little doing a few rather sexy poses. He was making it so she was having a rough time keeping herself focused on the task at hand. The struggle was real but the thought of showing him what she had begun was helping. "Something like that. I want to ensure everything fits. I want to show you something," she smiled getting up from the table she reached for his hand as she grabbed the box of parts with the other.

Ana would lead him to one of the workshops that she liked to use. It wasn't her own personal one per say but it wasn't used much. This had made it the perfect place to finish her work on her lover's armor. The gadgets still needed to be added and it needed a paint job but other than that it looked pretty alright. She wanted to fit him for it before putting in anymore work. Setting the box on the table she let go of his hand. "I'll be right back." Turning towards the closet. Grabbing the helmet she turned so he could see it as she walked back. "Try this on and let me know what you think." She smiled as she handed it to him. " I set it up to be like mine plus you have a private comm channel that links directly to me. I know for sure it needs a paint job but let me know if anything else needs to be tweaked." The rest of the armor was in the closet but she thought it best to bring out one piece for him at a time. The helmet was done mostly so it was the easiest.

Orick followed Ana into the workshop, there were machines and several pieces of equipment that he had no idea what they did. He waited as she wandered off towards what he realized was a closet and returned with a basic Mando helmet, it had the iconic T shaped viewport and he was shocked at how light it ended up being when she handed it to him." This is beautiful, and it's much lighter than I thought it would be." He pushed the helmet down over his head and he was pleasantly surprised at how well it fit. He could tell there was a lot of stuff crammed into the limited space, but it wasn't so much stuff that it felt crowded. Whatever [member="Anastasia Rade"] had done, it was perfectly distributed throughout the helmet.

" It's perfect." He said, his voice muffled through the layer of armor. He smiled under the visor and made a few poses, showing off how the helmet looked. He was laughing as slipped the helmet off of his head and placed it on the table. "It's perfect. I don't know how you did it, but it felt like it was moulded for my head." He was already excited about the fact that he was going to get perfectly fitting armor that he would trust because he knew that Ana wanted only the best for him. He had no way of repaying her for this, and he knew that she would never feel that he had to, so he was going to have to figure out how to make it up to her.

She couldn't help but giggle a little as he strike a few poses in his new hemet. He looked quite sexy in it but beside that she knew it would protect him better than anything else he perviously had. It was what was most important to her keeping him safe as she knew soon they would be at war with Prime. It was only a matter of time and Ana wanted to prepare him with everything she could. "I'm glad you like it. It has been molded to fit you as well as your armor. I borrowed some of what you had from the Republic to use as a guide. It should fit but I may need to make adjustments. Once it's perfect we can get those gadgets in and paint it up." She smiled brightly quite pleased that thus far he was thrilled with his armor. It would have been quite embarrassing if her gift had malfunctioned on him.

As he set the helmet down Ana turned to grab a bag which held the pieces of his armor. Ana normally had her's hanging up but it could be taken apart as well. Opening the bag open she pulled out a piece. "I know it doesn't look like much but it goes around your right arm. I have a piece for your other arm, both legs and torso." If she had done all of this correctly it should all fit together perfectly on [member="Orick T'ane"] . "Let me know if it's too tight. It may be uncomfortable at first." She stated as she moved closer to help him put on the armor one piece at a time. Ana knew that it would take some getting used to but she was here to help him.

Orick watched as Ana kept pulling pieces of armor out of the bag. He knew that there was a lot involved in putting on the armor and he hoped that she would show him all of the ways to cheat to make it go faster. He was surprised at how through she had been with finding out his measurements, he wondered if she had hacked into the the Republic's database for the info.

He picked up one of the many pieces and rapped on it with his knuckle, the hollow ringing sound made him smile. He knew that as light as this single piece was, it would stop a lightsaber long enough for him to get out of the way. He knew better than to think he was capable of taking on a force user on heads up, but it did give him the piece of mind to know that he could take a hit and survive.

As the armor was slipped on one piece at a time he began to feel the slight added weight to his frame. " What about the underlining? Isn't there like a body glove or something like that you put on under it?" He wasn't sure exactly what all of the specifics were, he knew that [member="Anastasia Rade"] would make sure everything was perfect.

"There is, I have the underlining hanging up on the closet. It should fit you like a glove. I'm worried about the armor for the moment. How does it feel?" She questioned taking a step back to look him over. Ana could have easily gotten his measurements from him but she had wanted all this to be a surprise for him.

"Can you move around in it?" Taking a few steps back Ana thought it looked good but that was only half of it. Slowly she began to walk around him making sure everything really had come together nicely. She was very happy to see that from her view it looked good and all it really needed was a paint job.

What she had for him here would protect him much better than anything that he had gotten from the Republic. Ana wouldn't have to worry about a simple blast blowing [member="Orick T'ane"] helmet off. These things lasted and she knew that she could rest assured that her love would be safe in this.
