To Outrun the Demons Inside

A fuzzy tooka enjoyed the free food falling on the floor, so of course he was following its source Amee Tor, wherever it went. Whenever the feline looked up from the feast of treats his mistress tossed down to him though, he saw she looked unhappy.

Why she looked so worried, he didn't know. There was food in their grasps! Why was she so down?!?

Amee sighed as she just dropped the whole sack of tooka treats down at the front door. Ranger seemed to immediately get absorbed in this fast food heaven. The mute togruta chuckled, "Stay here, Ranger. I'll be out in a bit... I hope..."

The girl sighed and cautiously crept into the darkened building. The leader of the new group she was in himself, Sith Lord [member="Darth Tsolan"] , had summoned her. The former Jedi Padawan hadn't been given intel on why, but the word "slaughter" kept entering her mind. In her walk down the building to meet him, she had to just stop and clear her always cluttered head.

Now, now, Amee, you're just being irrational. Calm down. He's the leader of a group that's aiming for peace, just like the Jedi... ... accept he's a Sith Lord... and follows the dark side. CALM DOWN!!!

The togruta facepalmed and carried on, eventually making it to the rally point. Two words entered her head. "Goodbye" and "world."

The girl cleared her head out again before she telekineticly spoke to him. "You requested me, sir?"

Vulpesen nodded as he met the young padawan as she approached him. Behind the master, a black tail flicked and he couldn't help but smile under the mask. "I did. I heard that you wanted some training in another ability and I figured that if I intend to help train and lead you, I'll have to get started as soon as possible." He reached up and a gloved hand closed on the fox faced mask that he perpetually wore. As he took it off, he finally revealed his face to someone who was not considered as family to him, such was a rare occurrence in these times. Despite the wars and battles, he kept a youthful face, especially since he was only twenty-three years old. Still, there were two signs of his time in battle. The first was a thin scar that ran across his neck. The other was more obvious, a streak of white that permanently stained his otherwise dark brown hair.

"In case you didn't know, my name is Vulpesen Espadus Torrevaso." Throughout the exchange, he was surrounded with a miasma of darkness so thick, any light sider who tried to penetrate it might very well be sick. But as he spoke, the sheild vanished, replaced by a strange light. It was tempered by darkness to be sure, but unlike moments before, there was nothing dangerous or evil about his presence in the force. "So, please remind me what it was you wanted to learn."

Oh, so I'm being trained by a Sith Lord. Splendid.

Amee had several things on her mind, but she decided on something that could help her run if need be.

"Force speed, please?" She asked the Sith through telepathy. The young girl still felt a bit scared. It was barely masked by the Light Side, but the Dark Side was present. Amee had no idea how this would go. She could only hope it would go well...

Vulpesen smiled and motioned for the young jedi to follow him. "I certainly hope you're in shape. You see, I intend to train you as I was trained, with experience. When I am done, you will be tired, but enlightened." In only a few moments, his destination would be obvious, the roof.

Amee was fast and agile, and had good enough strength, but stamina was a problem... she gulped as she hesitantly followed the sith. She felt generally uncomfortable and high on paranoia. She never thought she'd see the day a sith was training her... she was obviously worried.

They both made it to the rooftop in good time though. Amee's arms returned to her sides in a hug. She forced herself to drop it and improve her posture when Darth Tsolan turned to face her. What's the plan? Amee asked with as much respect as possible.

"As soon as I think you're ready, you'll be getting some hands on practice in a way very similar to how I learned." He slowly started to pace the edge of the roof. "I don't train only speed, I train agility. There is no use of being fast if you can use it to a a proper advantage. This being said, you will have to trust me to keep you from dying."

He turned to face her. "True, I am now better known as the sith, Darth Tsolan. But less known is my true name, Vulpesen Espadus Torrevaso, the jedi lost in the heat of battle. My time with the sith is hopefully nearing an end and be safe in the mind that I enjoy no day among them. If you continue to see me as a being of evil, you will fall and you may even die. Trust me as a Tenevi and cast these doubts that I can easily sense from your mind."
