Description:
The Tolmalok anti-aircraft walker is an attempt by the combine to create a heavy piece of equipment that is geared toward the repelling of enemy landing craft and fighters when they are in the atmosphere. 3 of its 4 guns are posted on the top of the walker and are unable to attack ground based targets, making it weak to ground based attacks. The walker uses four powered legs with attached drill heads and built in magnets that allow the machine to climb steep surfaces with relative ease. The drill bits do have the ability to open up into a claw like foot (much like those of the AT-TE's) for movement on soft ground.
The right side turret of the walker is a heavy anti-aircraft “laser flak” canon that uses an alternating fire pattern that disperses rounds out of three separate barrels. This system allows for the weapon to maintain a steady fire of rounds longer without melting the barrels. On average the weapon fires 35 rounds of flak in 10 seconds before taking a 5 second cool down time in which heat is dispersed out of vents in the weapon. The left turret hold a Mass Driver Cannon that fires 1 round every 5 seconds and a light ion cannon. The one defense it does have for ground targets is an anti-personnel blaster canon. It lacks major shields and is ill prepared to defend again repeated small arms missile strikes. The vehicle operates at maximum with a pilot, co-pilot. 1 laser flak gunner, 1 mass driver/ion cannon gunner and an Anti-Infantry gunner. However, it can be operated with just a single pilot as the weapons can be switched to automated mode. It also possible for the walker to be vacuum-sealed for space deployment.
It also almost killed the Grand Marshal during the Dominion of Utapau, but we won't rub his face in that too much.
