Tonight, The Syndicate Dines In Hell! (Josh/Jonathan & Asha/Cery)

Josh sat on his bed at his apartment on Coruscant, reading the evidence and layouts of the Syndicate hideout that himself and Asha had managed to salvage while undercover as Jose and Cery. It had been months and months of hard work, criminal action and slave trading... Months of living in a tiny home together as not to be discovered.

As far as the Syndicate knew right now, Jose and Cery were waiting for the moment to strike a couple of people to take them in as slaves for the Syndicate, under their orders... Little did they know that the two Jedi Knights Joshua DragonsFlame and Asha Seren had other plans.

Josh adjusted the lightsaber on his belt as he finished reviewing his side of the evidence, looking over at @[member="Asha Seren"] who was sitting beside him.

"I've got what I need. Want me to check on Kobe before we go out?" he asked his "Partner In Crime" as they had affectionately began calling each other. He gave a slight smile as he said it. Kobe was in his guest room, having been living there since the Knight had moved in to help with their "blurring of the lines" issues. Asha seemed happier since they'd made the arrangements though, and he was glad to see at least the plan seemed to be working. Probably good timing too... After this mission, they would have no use for "Jose and Cery" until they could find another organization to crack.

Asha looked up from her own file, and glanced across to Joshua. They'd been working this case for so long, that it was strange to see it coming to an end. Anyone effected by their actions would be safely released, this she had ensured. There were men ready to crack down on the slave-buyers, watching in the shadows to ensure they weren't harmed in anyway. The moment they had a call from Asha the people would be released, but before that would be too risky. There was too much riding on this.

"I'll see to him" she said, after all if this ended badly she wanted to have been able to say goodbye to her only remaining child. Resting a hand to his shoulder, before rising up, she smiled down at him. "In a few days, this will all be over." With that she wandered to where her son was waiting, in the guest room. He was still only young, barely a year old. Leaning down she kissed the top of his head. "Mummy will be home soon" she whispered, gently stroking his blonde hair. He reminded her so much of Tracyn, her wayward husband who had left to seek vengeance on whoever had their son. Kaine, it was Kaine, the Epicanthix she had met on Panatha months prior to Kobe and Cassus' birth. "Ni kar'tayli gar darasuum." Darasuum, the promise she had made to Tracyn and he back to her. How she missed him, she didn't even know where he was...

With a small sigh she tucked her son in, and nodded to the woman who'd been left in charge of him. "If there is anything... Anything you need me for, just contact me." Asha was overly protective of her remaining son. Thanking the woman, she headed back out to where Josh was waiting. "Ready?"

Josh smiled as he got up, clicking his lightsaber onto his belt and walking past her out of the apartment. On the way out, he looked back at Kobe... And hoped they would be home soon to see the young one again. Josh had been treating Kobe like his own son as of late... Just out of habit, not by any thought of malice. And quite frankly, it was what Kobe needed with Tracyn only dropping in and out every once in awhile... Every single time he would return, and Josh would think he was going to stay and be there for Asha and Kobe after the mission he arrived for was done... And then Tracyn would disappear. Just like that. He would always show up at random, do whatever he felt like doing, and then disappear again... And with that, Kobe needed a father figure. Josh didn't think he fit the bill, and didn't think he would ever be able to match Tracyn... But he still loved Kobe all the same. He promised himself to read Kobe a bedtime story if he lived long enough to come home.

He looked over at Asha with a bittersweet look. All their hard work was about to pay off... But as he made obvious, it was bittersweet. All those months of living together in that tiny house, perfecting their disguises, living an alternate life... For now had come to an end. They had finished their goal, and all they had to do now was make an arrest, or wipe the Syndicate out completely...

He was going to miss, at least for now, the concept of Jose and Cery. And looking into Asha's eyes, Josh knew she felt the same...

"I'm ready...." he whispered.

With one final glance back in the direction of her son the Knight slung her backpack to her right shoulder and wandered to the door, allowing it to open so they could head out into the Coruscanti streets. A long journey followed, while the pair ventured through from the Temple District down to the Lower District and subsequently the slums.

When the Headquarters appeared on the horizon she reached out and took his hand briefly, squeezing it to show moral support, after all this would be tough on them as much as the others involved. This was it, the end... They just had to pull it off.

Stepping closer she set a wary gaze upon Joshua. "This is it, no more disguises, no more shadows, it's time to make the bust." Her words were spoken directly into his mind, as opposed to aloud, to avoid any unwanted ears. Tapping into her comm-link she left the reception open so that the men she had lined up would be ready and waiting to rescue those subjected to slavery.

Josh sighed as he stared up at the headquarters. Feeling Asha grab his hand, he squeezed it back briefly in a show of moral support... It was the best he could offer for what they were about to do.

This was it... This was the end... What they had striven for, for so many months to achieve. Josh's mind wandered back to the months spent working on this... He realized that if anything, THIS was the reason the Force Bond between them had formed... They had become so close, both in and out of disguise in such a short time... It was no shocker that their bond would go beyond physical means.

Josh's eyes travelled to Asha's staring into her eyes as he tilted his head.

"This is it... This is what we've fought for, for so long... Everything with Jose and Cery has been for this..." sounded in Asha's head, as he spoke directly into the mind of his affectionately referred to "Partner In Crime". He wondered... What would they do now? Without going as Cery, would he be able to blur the lines enough outside of the missions to keep Asha sane? A part of him almost... Regretted what he'd done. Not because of the time spent together or the work they had done. But because of the talk they had just a week back, the day he asked her for her and Kobe to move in with him... The entire thing was hurting Asha mentally, and it hurt him to know that... All he could hope to do once this was over was be there for Asha when it was all said and done... And help keep his dead friend from going off the edge however possible. For her, and for Kobe.

He looked up at the HQ and took a breath.

This was it...

The pair looked completely different to their alter-ego's, so when they stepped into the Headquarters the gang-members were none-the-wiser to who they were. The Rodian was the first to notice the apparent-strangers, and he stumbled closer, waving a hand in annoyance. The other hand lowered down to the blaster upon his belt, like a space cowboy, fingers flexing in preparation should things turn sour.

"I wouldn't" Asha remarked, stepping closer. She brushed her robes aside, revealing a lightsaber hilt, and the man took a step back. He tried to shout something but found that the air surrounding him would not vibrate in order to create the soundwaves, his hands moved to his throat, and then he turned to glare at Asha, who had used half a Force-Cloak in order to suppress his words. "As I say, I wouldn't."

Stepping towards the Rodian she settled a hand upon him, glancing around the otherwise empty room. Within moments an official entered to arrest the Rodian. The lower office was empty, but Asha knew where they would be. In the slave-pens, it was that kind of day after all...

Josh smirked a bit as he watched Asha go to work. He didn't draw his lightsaber, but it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the man was a Jedi Knight or Jedi Master or something.

He watched with amused eyes as the official took the rodian away. He was almost happy to see the creature get put in his place... Force knows he tried a hundred times to intimidate the seemingly weak Jose and Cery, up until Jose had whipped out a massive sword and made it clear he knew exactly how to use it.

He looked at the unusually empty room, and smirked as he faintly recalled where to go...

"Seems they're expecting someone, eh dear?" He asked Asha with a slight grin, referring to Jose and Cery who they figured would be there in an hour.

Oh what a surprise they were going to get...

@[member="Asha Seren"]

With one small nod she began to make her way through the winding corridors through the building itself, and right the way to the slave-pens which lay hidden behind the real-office. It was eerily silent... Until they neared the pens.

Screams could be heard, fear-filled cries, and a volley of laughter from within. Nothing could have held Asha back at this point, instead she wandered to the door and slipped a hand to one of the lightsaber blades on her belt. And then she kicked open the door.

Inside the slavers were all present, tormenting a young woman in one corner of the room. At the sound of the door they turned, but there was only one way in and out of the room, and Asha was stood in the way.

It was time for them to get to work...

Josh smiled faintly as Asha got serious and kicked the door open. His fingers gently picked up his lightsaber as he stood beside Asha, looking the slavers in the eye.

"There's nowhere else to run. You're under arrest for slave trading, drug trafficking and gang violence" he stated firmly.

The men didn't quite know what to do, especially when more of the Republic's men slipped through the doorway, past the two Knights, and made their presence known, guns raised in aim at each of the present slavers. Inside the cages the prisoners sobbed, but whether out of fear or relief could not be discerned.

Asha waited to see how the slavers would react...

@[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

And suddenly blaster shots rang out from behind them, causing Josh to tackle Asha down before they could hit. Quickly, he rolled off her, drawing his lightsaber. The dark blue blade hummed as his eyes darted from the new enemies at the entrance, and the others that had then pulled out their blasters once Josh and Asha were off guard...

Let the games begin.

Pushing up off the floor the Knight brushed down her robes with a grunt, nodding just once, and very swiftly, to Joshua for saving her. Their back up had already begun shooting stun-rounds at the slavers, after all this was a Jedi investigation and needless killing should be avoided. Igniting out her white blade the woman made for quite an imposing figure at 6'2, causing several of the slavers to slink back and go willingly with the proper authorities. As ever there were those who refused to comply. Stancing herself in a basic Shien she prepared to counteract any blasters which made their way towards her...
