Too old for Force training?

A question for you fine folks.

I'm working on writing up first Force user character, and I know that here on the boards you have to start out at Padawan level. I have no interest in RPing a teenager and would like to make my character a bit older.

What would be his options for training as a Jedi or Sith acolyte? Would any masters take on a slightly older pupil? Let's say someone in his late 20's early 30's by human/near-human standards.

I did that with my Sith, slightly younger then you listed, but not that much of a difference, early 20's to your late 20's. Don't see a reason why you can't. Just keep in mind that you may or may not need to handwave why they are only now discovering their force sensitivity, depending on how you're doing the backstory.

A liable reason is that your character had not be subjected to a high amount of stress, and so your powers had not manifested. I did this with my Alt [member="Darren Shaw"], He was a little over 24 years old when he was a padawan.

I started training at 21 so I don't think your too old. I have a Jedi Master and Sith Master alt if you need a trainer. I would be happy to help

... ohwait. Um. Yeah, my two Republic padawans (Jannik Morlandt and Meeristali Peradun) are over the age of twenty. And Ilias here is getting on to 900 years old.

The masters around these parts, myself included, don't take age into consideration, for the large majority. It's absolutely okay, mate. You should have no problems.

Just go Dark Jedi or Grey. Much easier that way when playing in factions not aligned to either alignment.
