Took over a company and no one believes me

Several months ago Vassik Kilvaari turned over the IGBC to me and I've recently started to work on building some RP and getting some interest generated.

However, many people have pointed out that Vassik is the owner and therefore I have no right to the company or I need to contest it in the factory to gain it for myself as no one seems to read to the bottom of the entry where the ownership transfer notes list that it is under the control of Kira/Lan.

My question is this: If I went ahead and did the paperwork to put a new factory sub in for the IGBC so it is under my account name, would it reset the company down to a Tier 2 or would the work Vassik did to grow the IGBC still count?

You're fine, you're according to the factory submission the owner. Don't know about if it would reset though if you did submit it on your account.
People just need to read more closely. Stupid, stupid people.

well all you should need is the thread where you got it and that is pretty much the proof you need. That is how I got Phenex and am in control despite Ember who recovered it being the one who controls the sub.

Admins can change post authorship; if you ask nice, Spence might just switch it out for you.

Go to the 'Company Modifications' thread under Company Creation. You can post links to where the ownership was transferred to you and can also write up a new sub giving the information where your character took it over.


You won't lose any Tier status.

Regardless of what people assume, if the submission says otherwise, then they are wrong. I think it's because the sub was submitted by another writer that there is an initial misunderstanding, but as you did with me, you can simply correct that person and point out that ownership was transferred to you.

If there is a problem going forwards, however, I am sure that an Admin or RPJ can merge the old IGBC topic with a new one that you created, placing you as the submitter, rather than it being someone else.

Where are they getting the idea that he is the owner if you are the submission author?

Probably because of the ownership echo that resonates through the board and hails me as the ancient owner.

No, but seriously, I transferred the IGBC to [member="Lan Porgata"] ages ago. It's entirely his to do with as he pleases.
