Kinooine.
It was the face of the second of the rounds of the Tournament of the Gods. It was a planet that didn't hold much air about it, small, filled with rocks, canyons, and and not much else. It was a world that many would consider absolutely barren, a world that many would consider worthless. Lumyia had once made her home here, though she was now long gone. To the Crusade it was nothing but a small outpost, but to the Tournament of the Gods, it would be the second round.
The fights would be staged miles apart from one another, each one taking place simultaneously but at such a distance that one fight would not interfere with another. Why? For the enhanced effect of course.
In the skies above Kinooine sat dozens if not hundreds of starships, filled with watchers, party goers, and tractor beam operators. These ships were tasked with creating an enhancement of the fight, they would induce an artificial meteor shower. Pre-planned and pre-arranged the ships would sling a variable endless amount of rocks onto the surface of Kinooine, dashing the nearly empty worlds with pelting cosmic stones.
The rocks would range in size, though all would be big enough to cause an impact somehow.
It was all to the add to the field of battle.

The First of the stones began to fall just as the matches began.

What was it with this tournament and wastelands for battlefields? He was gonna have enough issues in this round without having to deal with the environment. This round was set to go up against a Sith, based on the name he'd seen listed on the brackets. Chaff had gotten his helmet and face fixed from the last round, and had made sure to come fully reloaded for this battle. In his hand, he held a DRX-11. He had on his usual armor, loaded today with a flamethrower in one hand, and missiles in the other. His wrist blades were freshly sharpened to draw blood. The back had his refueled jetpack. Cracking his neck, he prepared to start.

.....Only to find a rock the size of a speeder coming right at him. He jumped out of the way as the thing impacted hard into the ground he had been on only a moment ago. What the hell? Chaff refused to believe this was a coincidence that this was happening right as the fight started. He looked over at one of the cameras and gave the finger to whoever was watching, then held up his gun and started hunting.

Melkor Grinned as he sat atop his Tu'kata mount, he was thinking about this battle. It was going to be easy, had studied his opponents fight with his friend and was not impressed. He was arrayed buch the same as he was previously but with the exception of not having a warden cloak on. His various ranged weapons lie in his bag, his short sword on his back, along with his pistols, and his dauntless blades and lightsabers on his side. His belt was filled with thermal det charges and other grenades.

At this point he was not even going to worry about merging with the dark current, he didnt see the point, this fight would be ended quick. As he heard the signal he kicked his steed, spurring him onward. He heard a crash behind him as a boulder hit the ground. He narrowed his eyes realizeing there would be more danger from these then his opponent. Through the force he entered the mind of his longtime friend and steed. The two of them moving to dodge the boulders as one.

Reaching out with his mind he locked on to his foe using the force. His prey was just on the other side of a platou from him. He let his steed slowy climb the rocks make next to no noise. Spotting his foe moving on the otherside he lay down. waiting for his oppurtunity.

After a bit of time waiting, Chaff figured he'd take another tack to find the target. He reached up to his helmet and switched to heat vision. This would enable him to scan the area and detect any heat signatures from people in the area. In a place like the last round's battlefield, it would not have worked, but here it would work. Chaff quickly detected a massive heat signature on the nearby plateau. Bit too big for a single guy. Maybe he'd brought something else with him? It wasn't moving, so it was obvious that the guy was waiting.

Screw that. He wasn't about to let the Sith settle into an easy sniping position. He turned away for a moment, trying to fool the Sith into thinking he had gone unnoticed. Then he flipped around and let loose a missile at the Sith's position. When the missile went, he drew his gun and aimed it at the Sith. He was a bit too far to shoot with it quite yet, but Chaff was hoping the Sith would move forward a bit and into range. If the Sith tried to counter-fire, Chaff was ready to jet out of the way and forward so that he would be in range of firing with his gun. Guy that sold him the gun said it was made to take down force users. Something about the bullets moving so fast that they were impossible for all but the best force users, their masters or whatever the hell they called em, to block. Today would no doubt put that claim to the test.

Melkor's eyes rested on the bounty hunter, and he tensed and readied his attack. The next thing he knew there was a rocket flying at him. His eyes widened as he threw up his hands redirecting the rocket upwards. It smashed into an oncoming boulder, shattering it into pieces. He was reminded of his frist battle since his ressurection so to speak. As he remebered he channeled his rage into his actions. The dark tendrils of the force could be seen only by a force user and he manipulated them into grabbing the debris and forcing them into a pelting rain of a cyclone of rocks, this would cloud his opponents lines of sight and give him a chance to make his next move.

He quickly grabbed three of his det charges out of his belt, activating them, and threw them into his storm in a perfect triangle spinning around his mark. They would make his only escape be upwards and that was exactly what he wanted.

Chaff quickly looked over his options. With the charges circling around him, it looked like his only way out of this situation was to go up. Usually, Chaff would not have an issue with this. However, with all the rocks being thrown at the planet, it wasn't the smartest idea to go flying around. Still, he had cards to play here. He went up into the air, no doubt as his opponent expected. However, as he did, he closed enough distance to get into optimal range of his slugthrower. He opened fire, aiming for the most exposed parts of his opponent.

Melkor grinned as his opponent fell into his trap. even though he had decided to take the easy way he wouldnt escape that easily. The counters on his charges would be reaching its final seconds soon, he threw them towards his mark with not a care for the bullet coming his way. The three charges would close in almost impossible to escape unfazed, and explode. The force of the shockwave altered the course of the bullets and lucky for him one only grazed his shoulder, while the another glanced off of the chainmail because of lucky trajectory.

He force dashed side ways and backwards to avoid the rest of the shots and still maintain position. He threw is arm back quickly reaching into his bag he pulled out his Bow and bring three fingers through waited for his foe, eyes trained on high alert for movement.

Chaff saw the grenades coming a moment before they went off. He;d have usually boosted forward to avoid em, but the Sith's timing was good. Luckily, the blast mostly hit his legs, and the armor lessened the damage. Plus, he had not had much time to get high off the ground, so he only feel a few feet down to the ground, sliding behind some cover by chance, and out of the Sith's sight range. He checked the legs. Nothing embedded in them, luckily, but he wasn't gonna be doing any sprinting for the remainder of this fight. But that what jetpacks were for. He reloaded his gun as he waited. He guessed the Sith was waiting for him to move forward out of cover. The irony of the situation having been reversed from what he was doing during round 1 did not escape him. Didn't end well for the guy when he waited. Chaff was not about to make the same mistake. Using heat vision again to get a good read on the target's position, Chaff moved to the edge of the cover. Without exposing himself, he leaned the gun out of cover, but most being exposed to the Sith being his hand, and started firing at the blur of red on his visor that represented the Sith, hoping to get a nice crippling shot in.

Melkor wasnt about to get caught off gaurd. As soon as he spotted the hand peaking around the corner he lept sideways his body flying off the side of the platou, dodging in midair. As he did this the motion of his fingers pulling through the motion arc of the bow triggered the creation of three plasma bolts, about the same size as lightsaber blades. He released his fingers as his horizonally moving body exposed the rest of his foes body. The burst of plasma arrows fired out of his Mjonir went zipping towards his foe.

Has he neared the ground he curled up and bit and landed on his side. His body rolled across the dirt until he rolled into a upright stance. His bow was once again at the begining

As soon as the Sith started moving to flank him, Chaff was on the move. Odd choice of weapon on the Sith's part. Who the hell bothers with bows? Too much effort for too little gain. Nothing a bow could do that a good blaster couldn't do with a 10th of the effort. As he started firing, Chaff shot up into the air, narrowly avoiding the shots. He fired another missile at the Sith as he finished his volley. If the Sith moved to deflect the thing again, Chaff would fire with his slugthrower again, which was ready in the other hand. The Sith would almost certainly not have enough time to react before he got hit, being distracted by the missile. If he just tried to move out of the way, that was fine too. Chaff would wait and fire the moment he stopped, since he doubted the Sith would be able to accurately fire any kinda gun while moving at the speeds he'd seen him moving at earlier, and figured the Sith would need at least a half second or so to ready an attack once he came to a stop. That would be enough of an opening to hit him with, given the speed the gun's shots fired at.

(Sorry for the late reply Irl bs)
His bow would take to long and Melkor knew it, so he flicked his wrist folding it up and placing it on his belt. As soon as he saw the missile coming he knew his next move. He tensed up in readiness, he was sure that his opponent would follow this up with his usual slugthrower volley and he had to be ready for that. He waved his hand letting his will seep into the force and smiled as its dark tendrils spun the missile around, reversing its trajectory back to its owner. Just as he did this he heard the shots go off, his reaction was instantaneous, he released the tension propelling himself back into the air.

He managed to evade most of the shots but one did clip his right leg. He let his battle rage dull the pain allowing him to move forward. In a flash he whipped out his lightsabers and threw them so that they would pass within inches on either side of his target, boxing him in. As he closed in he whipped out his short sword, clearing his opponent he spun as he passed over falling behind the floating bounty hunter. With a flash he whipped his blade towards the weak spot in hist opponents armored arm, the exposed area near the armpit. It wouldnt penatrate deep probably only a scratch but it would be enough to let his foe know he was here. Afterwards he landed on the ground flourishing his blade.

(Actions taken)
  • Missile thrown back at Meaken
  • Dodged all but one of the bullets
  • Threw my lightsabers on either side cutting off escape
  • Fell behind and tried to land a small blow On the back of arm close to armpit
  • Landed

Chaff groaned inwardly. He was so damn tired of this frigging force users. he made a mental note to bring explosive darts in place of missiles next time. Something told him they'd have a harder time reflecting them back a him. But right now, he had to deal with this thing. Avoiding would have been the first move, but the Sith seemed to anticipate that and threw his sabers to block the move. So, he'd have to resort to shooting it down. Not too hard, gun was already aimed at the missile. He aimed at the thing quickly and fired, the shock wave knocking him back a few feet. Then he felt something hit his armpit. he flipped around to see the Sith on the ground. Clearly he;d jumped over him while he was busy. he examined the arm. Movement would be a bit restricted, but the armor had blunted most of the blow. He saw the Sith waving his sword around. Chaff cracked his neck.

"Alright, you wanna play? No more force nonsense, no more guns and missiles. Just two dudes and their blades."

Chaff landed and deployed his duel wrist blades. He started walking forward slowly, examining the Sith's stance and identifying possible weaknesses and tactics to use against him. He wasn't worried. he'd taken down plenty with his blades. And, worse comes to worse, he always had his flamethrower. as he came into range, he would lash out with a strong right blow to the Sith's injured leg.

Melkor's face slowly broke into a smile, this battle was as good as won in his eyes. His eyes glanced downward, looking to the short sword in his hand. He knew that the poison would be taking effect soon, causing halucinations and nightmarish visions. He flicked wrist and in a flash the blade was sheathed. He saw that his opponent take the open cheap shot.

Melkor simply took a step backwards smiling as the blade passed him by. His movements with fluid as he pushed his hand out toward the bounty hunters chest, His rage focused into the palm of his hand that was mere inches away from its mark. If this hit it would send his foe flying into the platou which was 20 feet away.

Chaff was flung away by the push. Slamming into the platou, he felt something crack, a rib probably. He barely felt it right now, however. he yanked himself to his feet.

"Alright, if that's how ya want it."

Chaff hit the jetpack again, flying toward the Sith with blade drawn. However, this time he would suddenly stop 10 feet away from the sith, and quickly fire his flamethrower directly at the sith.

Melkor muttered "Back for more eh?" as he saw that his foe was coming back around and he knew that he would not be able to dodge with his bad leg. His thoughts racing he saw his only availible option. Whipping his hands backward, his palms wrapped around the grips of his slug throwers. Whipping out the hand cannons he grinned, not many were able to use them effectivly but he had designed them and perfected the beasts.

Just as his opponent was about to fire he let lose a volley of four of the massive bullets, aiming with pin point accuracy at the kness first and moving up to the chest. At this range they were garrunteed to pierce armor. He was willing to take the pain of the flames, in exchange for what had the oppurtunity to be a fatal blow, infact risking danger for victory was his specialty.

Chaff saw the flames his the target and laughed. But his laughter was shot lived as he saw two massive guns drawn and fired at his knees. He was caught off guard by this. He had expected the Sith to try to move away from the fire, not willingly take it. Dude must have been nuts. But it was a valid, if insane strategy. Chaff did not have time to get out of the way of the first bullets, and they went right through his armor into the area around the knees. Must have been armor pen rounds he had loaded. Chaff jerked out of the way of the second shots to the chest with the jetpack, one of the bullets slightly hitting his right arm. This needed to end now. With the Sith no doubt distracted by being.....well, on fire, Chaff circled around with his jetpack behind the Sith and fired 3 slugthrower rounds at the Sith's back, where he hoped to inflict, if not lethal damage, then enough to end the fight here and now with the combination of both the flames and the slugs. .

Melkor raised an eyebrow seeing that his opponent hadn't backed down. The next thing he knew as the final bullt left its chamber he felt the heat of the flames rushing towards him. He jumped to the side, but not quick enough to save his legs. The searing pain of the heat was intense but was not long lived. He rolled over extiunguishing the flames. As he rose he turned to face his foe, hearing two shots whistle past him. He grinned but as he did he felt a third rip through the side of his left arm.

The pain angered him, he had been going easy this entire fight only using minimul force abilities, but now he was done playing around. He whistled, and he knew that his pet would hear it. Then it came, the actions of the last few minutes had been so fast that he had almost for got to keep an eye out for the boulders. He grabbed a smoke grenade and threw it at his opponent. Then he jumped backwards and let the falling boulder land in front of him.

His steed on the other side would be jumping on of the platou and dropping the 20 ft with the intention to land on top of his enemy. He thanked the sith that he had bought the large beast from his friend

Chaff was glad to see another round hit the target. Sucked that the flames had went out quick, but they had served their purpose. The gun he was holding was now empty, and he was unsure if he'd have a chance to reload before it was over. But, he still had other tools. He was preparing to move in close again when his foe whistled, then threw a smoke grenade. This only blinded Chaff for a moment as he switched back to thermal. The Sith had given away his intent there. The whistle was clearly a signal to someone or something. Chaff remembered he had detected a larger heat signature at the beginning of the fight, and deployed his wristblade to prepare to guard himself.

That said, he was not expecting an assault from above. The beast easily knocked him to the ground. Chaff was reminded yet again of his first round fight. That said, this thing, whatever it was, appeared to be much bigger then the other guy. The thing's jaws opened up and it came down to try to start biting on him. While Chaff thought his armor might be able to withstand a bite or two without it completely breaking, he was not about to test that if he could avoid that. His wristblade swung up at the beast's approaching face, as he tryed to slice into it and make him stop the attack for a second. While he did this, he let go of his empty gun and deployed the other wrist blade in the other hand, and swung for the beast's belly, moving to slice him open. getting a bunch of guts all over his armor would be highly disgusting, but worth the price if he could remove this thing from the equation.
