Tour de Naboo (Tandem)

Hakan Venttuss

He Who Blinds the Sun
A rather small starfighter made its way into one of Naboo's many ports, Hakan had to admit he hadn't been here before. But he had heard of Naboo before, who didn't? With such fantastic specimens as Padme Amidala and...Jar Jar Binks...Yeah this place sucked. Didn't stop him from visiting it to stock up on fuel. He let out a long sigh, he needed a bigger ship. This tiny starfighter was cramped and stored about as much fuel as a Zippo lighter.

He ordered the garage crew to fill the tank, and in the meantime he decided he'd take a look around and see what there was to do in one of the more historically famous planets in the universe. After all the monarchy here was quite the sight to behold. Obviously he kept his outfit low-key, he wasn't going to slink around all sith-like in a place like this. He wore just a black robe with brown pants, the collar of his robe rimmed with a bright red, he made sure to wear a gold chain and a couple pieces of jewelery, so he looked more wealthy than suspicious.

Making his way to the city center he took a look around, this place had some beautiful architecture, he wouldn't mind coming back here again sometime, but what to do?

This ship is much too big for one person, his stay on Naboo has been extended longer then anticipated..A lucky pick-pocket nicked the creds he was gonna use to refuel..So here he is, looking a bit haggard and a bit tired from working a small job part time given to him by some kindly old trader. An antique trader actually, carry a few boxes and try not to scare off the customers was the mans general workload..he can manage that. He wanders the city the crimson hood of his cloak undone the cloak covering his own red clothes...he figures it sets him apart from other Sith and Jedi he's known that enjoy all black and that dingy brown. Carrying a wooden crate he walks through the crowd side stepping people that seem to be in a rush, he manages fine up until one steps on his cloak as he passes and he lets out a startled exclamation as he falls towards the ground losing his footing. Lifting his elbows as his weight shifts he grits his teeth and braces himself as he hits the ground elbows and face first.. 'Behold...The graceful Forcer Tandem! Keeper of the box of old junk...' he thinks annoyed as he groans and lifts himself up to his left knee. He places the crate down his left hand rubbing at his chin as he sucks in a breath through his teeth a hiss being released. Yellow eyes squint in pain and annoyance, white hair framing the sides of his face with a few stray bangs trailing across his forehead.
White hair, yellow eyes and red clothing along with enough force-power to barely scrape past being an Initiate...A Rogue with not a lot of skill in the ways of the force by the name of Tandem. He sticks out in a crowd via his looks and antics most of the time..This is just another one of those times.

Not much going on here honestly, but the attitude of the people here seemed rather amicable, people were talking in the streets, none of them paranoid. He saw mostly Humans here, well, that was what most of the planet's residents were so he didn't feel too alien here, but he hadn't seen a place so well-built and so calm. Nothing rushing and nothing really negative about this place. He could see why this was such a popular destination for all the rich and famous individuals of the Galaxy.

He could see the palace in the distance, just as imposing. Yet very well designed, not too vulgar around its surroundings. It very nicely complimented the rest of the city and this palace was the focal point, the tourist spot of excellence for whoever was just visiting Naboo. He saw a few speeders hover past, slowly, nobody in a rush like in Coruscant or Nar Shadaa, it all seemed very tranquil.

Looking around some more, there were all sorts of things. Expensive jewelry and clothing in shop windows, tailors. This was probably the shopping district, but his tour was cut short as he saw someone fall over a few feet from him.
He looked at the fallen man. Who looked...Shockingly similar to him. "Are you alright?" He inquired.

Glancing upwards as a voice asks him of his current condition he begins "Yeah I'm fine, thanks for asking.." He states his eyebrow raising curiously as he eyes the man, they look pretty similar, which is not something you encounter everyday..Standing up and brushing himself off he glances to each side awkwardly, not sure how to deal with this. So, he just starts by pointing at the obvious "First time I've seen something like this without looking in a mirror" He states with a friendly grin, leaning forward and picking up the crate as he begins the casual conversation. His force senses are incredibly bad, barely even existent really so he actually can't tell this person is a Force-user of any side..While Tandem himself is blatantly wearing robes..has a lightsaber at his hip barely concealed by the earlier mentioned robes, plus his eyes are Sith yellow...it's pretty obvious he's a Force-user...Albeit a very bad one that managed to trip on his own robes...but a Force-user nonetheless. "Names Tandem!" He states in introduction, because why not? Not often you see someone that looks so similar, curiosity sets in and you wanna know a bit more, especially an orphan like Tandem who knows nothing of his family, logically he knows it's not likely but he can't help but let a stray thought in and it couldn't help to subtly see if this guy recognizes him from somewhere...Though he probably won't, that'd be way too cliche.
@Harkan Venttuss [Sorry about the late replies man, internet is giving me problems @_@]

Hakan was still rather taken aback by how similar they looked. He could also sense the force in this guy, was he another sith? Undoubtebly so, they both had the same eyes, and he could see a lightsaber carelessly clipped on him, so he definitely was, he wasn't going to question it, what would be the point? So they'd just chill as Sith? Nah, that's just two birds with one stone for whichever Galactic Republic officer happened to be lurking here, wouldn't want that now.

"Haha, no doubt. Kept thinking you were my older brother for a second." He chuckled, his older brother looking very similar to him, though he was on Nar Shadaa so it'd have been impossible for it to be him anyway. He grinned, this was kind of awesome, seeing your doppelganger like this, on such a strange planet also. It wasn't often that someone looked like Hakan, he had such an unique appearance but he seemed to have found somebody.
"I'm Hakan. Nice to meet you." He introduced himself properly, with a name.

He nods while chuckling, this is pretty surreal and he doesn't wanna sound weird but he's gotta ask a question "Just to clarify about the Brother thing you grew up with him and he wasn't say...Kidnapped by Sith about fifteen years ago right?? Just to clarify..." He states and then clearly thinks about how weird that statement must sound before he justifies the weird question with a simple deadpan "I've been through some chit." and the bemused smile on his face makes it clear, yes he knows that's a weird question, yes he knows he probably made this awkward and the shrug deems yes...He's sorry and he promises to stop being weird...Because body language and facial expressions really do count for a lot if you think about it.
Still either answer is met with a nod and he answers "Well, it's nice to meet you too Hakan!" He states his grin widening as he begins to walk again towards a nearby shop, hopefully the man follows, nobodies really talked to him besides this old man for the past few days and conversation is welcome from anyone and everyone for the Rogue Force-user.

"Nah, my brothers are all alive and somewhat well as I recall." He replied; "We just look similar." He clarified, which was true, same eyes, same hair and even similar height, although Hakan was rather well built for his age. "Oh, it's alright I have seen incredibly strange sights myself." He spoke, relating to this new acquaintance. He reflected on how this would probably be a memorable moment later on in his life to meet someone who looked pretty much exactly the same as him, an idle thought which would cross his mind and give him a good chuckle once in a while.

He decided to look at the shop. An Antiques shop, Hakan had quite the affection for antiques as he worked in a shipyard and antique parts were some things he liked to collect because some of them looked extravagant and some merely silly, but were nice to have anyway. "Do you work in this shop?" He asked curiously while having a little bit of a browse, wondering what strange and rare objects he'd come across in this store full of old items. Granted, antique shops have a tendency to sell junk, things which had no value even in the past. But sometimes its possible to unearth a rare treasure in shops like these. Maybe something he could use to decorate his room with. An ornament of sorts.

He walks into the shop with his new acquaintance and hums at the question "I suppose you could say that, though don't tell that old man Ka'Fei I said that...He took offense last time I told someone that.." He says pausing and staring off like it was all some great trauma, the upward twitch of the corners of his mouth make it obvious he's just playing it up a bit, it was really more like a slight yelled warning since he looks so much like a Sith and he didn't want his shop having a weird reputation. He walks forward his grin returning and he sets the crate on the counter "I'm just working here until I can scrounge up enough money to refuel my ship and be off to a friend who will get me a bit more situated." He explains leaving out the part where he was tricked and had his wallet stolen by some guy he never even saw. Of course if he ever finds that guy there will be...Words. Glancing back towards Hakan he notes the interest in some of the artifacts and asks simply "Anything you like??" He's managed to sell something to someone once, Ka'Fei didn't kill him or yell at him so he figures it should be fine if he rings something up for his Look-alike acquaintance.

He looked through the shelves and he saw what he expected to see in these kind of places, expensive worthless tat. Then again all the more "exotic" items in antique shops were usually hidden or put in harder to find places. Well, that's what they did on Nar-Shadaa anyway. If anything even looked like it had worth it'd get stolen. Of course he didn't expect Naboo to be anything like Nar Shadaa but it was just how things worked in these kinds of shops. Maybe they had some old technology or something rather ornamental. He'd probably ask his new friend if he's seen some weird stuff for sale here.

"Pff, whatever puts credits in your pocket suffices." He spoke as he picked up what looked like some battered instrument. Looking at it inquisitively with a raised eyebrow, rotating it a little to get a better look before placing it back in its original position, he took a bit of a look around then looked at Tandem, asking a simple question, but quietly. "Any...'interesting' objects on sale?" He figured he'd know what he meant by 'interesting'. And Hakan had the funds to pay for em.

He chuckles again his amusement at that comment his eyes showing agreement with that statement and a bit of reminiscing of what he's had to do in order to manage to survive for this long...Still, this is a nice job..too bad it's all heavy lifting and running around town...However the Old Man did specifically make sure he kept his lightsaber on hand when picking up this crate, told him to sell it as soon as possible but not let anyone take it..The rush he was in was because he wanted out of the area he had to pick the crate up in. The question is timed perfectly and he glances up now staring at Hakan for a moment before his eyes narrow in understanding...of course it's under a false pretense of what he thinks might be a meeting Ka'Fei set up in order to sell this quick..This was all planned is the thought currently running through the Rogues head...It's logical after all. This shop doesn't get a lot of customers so...This must be a find whatever it is. "I might have something..." He states with a knowing smile before popping open the lid of the crate and removing it, he peaks over his shoulder and gestures for the Sith to get a closer look at the aged looking throwing weapon inside...It's black and a bit rusted in places, cracks run along it and it's edges are chipped from age and use. To someone like Tandem, he's pretty sure it's just some kind of artifact that a collector would be interested in...a large star shaped throwing weapon with ornate carvings slightly warn pressed into it.

He couldn't really give much advice in terms of jobs as his current job was just being an apprentice and getting a fortune off his master's empire, and previously he was pretty much a slave so he figured his inputs were pretty much worthless at this point in time, this kid had it way harder than he did right now, he was struggling to pay for fuel while Hakan was literally waiting for his new 46 meter ship to be built. Differences. Privileges. Absolutely freakin' amazing. He knew how Tandem felt though, the grind was definitely tough.

He saw the gesture and approached, taking a look into the crate and it was a black ornamental star of sorts, but it looked incredibly sharp, no ornament would be this dangerously pointed, it must have been some form of throwing weapon of sorts. "Whoa. What is this anyway?" He whispered, obviously interested by this item, whatever it was. It looked like it could be worked on anyway as he believed his master was some form of alchemist.

Tandem

Sound the Alarm.
He pauses as the question is asked his face showing confusion, didn't he order it?? Why would he need to know what it is?? He must know if he wanted it so bad..Or maybe he just ordered an artifact to be shown..? Nodding at the slight turn of logic he answers "I was told it was an ancient throwing weapon of some sort, used by some kind of tribe back a really long time ago.." He answers shrugging his shoulders over the history of the artifact..it's pretty and looks like it used to be sharp but he didn't have the time to learn anything but the basics of it before he left to identify and retrieve it from a storage unit.
He doesn't even really know the name of the weapon, or rather, what this particular type of weapon is called, it's shaped like a star and it's pretty ornate for it's age which in itself is rather impressive showing remarkable craftsmanship..but he's not sure why someone would make something quite that large, the size of a humans palm..Maybe he'll ask Ka'Fei later. That old man has an answer for everything it seems, the three to four days he's known him have been rather enlightening.

Hakan looked at the object, obviously interested by it, he could just use it as some form of ornament, sure. But he could also use it for its intended purpose, which sounded interesting enough for him given the prospect of a pointy throwing object, could do some damage. He was willing to pay too with his new-found riches.

"How much?" He simply asked as he rummaged into his pockets for some credits, crystal chips jangling as he fished out a small handful, he could easily pay upfront. After all why not go and get a couple of souvenirs while he was here? Besides if they discovered what he was they probably wouldn't let him on such a Republic-aligned space.
