Once more with the ever growing need for a proper military on Tythe a small amount of attention was put towards the development of a small rifle for officers and to act as a sort for side arm for soldiers. Such mainly be machine gun, tank crews and other members in the army not given full combat equipment due to their roles. As a result the R&D team cam up with a slightly silly looking gun, fitted with a scope that seemed to be was to large for a weapon of it's size, even with the longer barrel and butt extension.
Despite this during testing many people found the scope useful in spotting and over all scouting, being somewhat akin to powerful binoculars, sharing the same weight and all but could also shoot if needed. In CQC the scope can always be taken off, along with other parts to make it fit the more traditional pistol role that other find useful as well. Though there was small issue with possible misplacement of parts during battle the weapon was received quite well over all despite it's looks, soon becoming a standard issue side arm, though a more down to ground pistol is in the works
