  • Hailstorm - Its large caliber mass-driver cannon delivers devastating barrages of long-range artillery fire with high precision.
  • Ploink - To survive counter-battery fire or even when getting up close, the front and top armour of the Tragus is massively armored.
  • All At Once - The gun is fed by a rapid-fire magazine, which allows it to shoot six shots in short order before having to reload the magazine.

EE-info-headers-weaknesses.png

  • Tracks - Mines and fire focusing on the tracks can immobilise the SPG.
  • Target - The size of the SPG and its low speed make it an easy target for air support as well as artillery.
  • Casemate - Not mounted in a turret, but a casemate, the entire SPG has to be moved to acquire new targets outside of its limited horizontal gun movement.
  • Volatile Core - The Sun Reactors, if hit and destabilised, can create a catastrophic explosion, destroying the SPG and its surroundings.
  • Close Combat - With little weapons to defend itself and limited direct-fire potential, the Tragus is of little use when it is directly engaged on short ranges.
  • Slug - Not only is it not very fast cross-terrain but it has an awful traversal speed.

EE-info-headers-description.png

The Tragus Self-Propelled Heavy Artillery is meant to supply a direct upgrade for the Magnus SPG, both in size and firepower. However it sacrifices speed and mobility to provide additional, massive firepower, ideal for the Stormwar Doctrine of the Eternal Army.

With that in mind the Olympian Armorsmiths have designed this Self-Propelled Heavy Artillery with a new limited auto-loading magazine for its H55 which can hold up to six shells and can fire them in under 40 seconds before the loader and gunner are required to feed another six shells to it. Optionally it can use single fire breech-loading to have less wear-down of the barrel, but due to the firepower lost, that is usually ill-advised. For barrels are cheap, but victories are precious.

Attempts to mount the gun and its developed auto-loader into a turret were made, but the weight played a crucial role in deciding to opt for a casemate. Sacrificing firing angles and direct engagement versatility for maintaining the desired level of firepower. The casemate offers a more heavily protected design by being cheaper with less moving parts. The loss at direct combat engagement is to be overcome by its long range or support units to do the fighting for it.
