Training a Queen(Alliera/Velok)

Ori'Alor Tal'Verda

Leader of the True Mando'Ade
Alliera landed an old YT-1300 on a semi-abandoned part of Toola, where Velok signaled her to land, the landing gear crunching the freshly fallen snow. The Reason Alliera had chosen the old YT-1300 was simple, it was smaller and less conspicuous than The Predator, and it had the requisite cargo and living space needed for Velok's payment and a place for Alliera to stay during training if needed. The Young Monarch opened the exit Ramp, and walked out of the ship, leading a covered hover sled. Alliera was wearing her armor, with a jacket over it to keep out the cold, as she waited for @[member=Velok].

"And there you are. Mandalore, and a Knight on the cusp of Mastery. You learned well from Nakamura before he adopted you; you studied as a Jedi; you served as a Jedi Shadow, with distinction. Rach was your peer, and he's a Master now. So let's begin.

"I'm familiar with your skillset. You're superb with a solid blade, either a beskad or a songsteel katana. All your Force powers are focused on that, apart from other skills which you have allowed to atrophy. And that's fine. You're a specialist. Therefore, I'm not going to teach you advanced telekinesis or energy manipulation or lightning or mind control. Instead, I'm going to bolster your specializations.

"Take off your helmet, stare across the tundra, and tell me what you see. Then do it...this way."

He explained to her the process of using the Force to enhance one's vision.

"It'll last only a minute or so, or less if you end the effect. It will make macrobinoculars irrelevant."

Alliera took off her helmet, and stared across the tundra, seeing nothing but white and snow. "I don't see anything." Alliera said, Frowning "Just the white Tundra." Alliera then used the vision enhancement thingie Velok just showed her, and gasped, she could see so much. She could see the houses in the distance, the trees fighting valiantly against death by cold, and the snow falling. "I can see a whole lot now, like I'm using my vision Enhancement suite in my helmet." Alliera said, rubbing her eyes for a moment.

"And that," said Velok with great satisfaction, "is how ancient Jedi vision enhancement techniques work. You picked that up quickly...but then, you always were strong.

"How high can you jump with the Force? How fast can you run? And, most importantly, how long can you run?" He pointed across the horizon. "You'll need to enhance your vision to find the target, one lonely little flag in the tundra. I've buried something underneath. Oh, and you'll have to run about a day and a half straight, using the Force to enhance your stamina. I'll see you back here in three days."

Underneath the cairn, she would find a powerful Sith sword with a curved blade, the ancestor of the Jade Empire's kiai'ta.

Alliera nodded at what he said, and used her force enhanced vision to locate where the target was, and started running. As Alliera ran, she used the force to enhance her stamina, so she could make the trip and back. As Velok predicted, It took Alliera about a day and a half to reach the target, and so she pulled up the flag, and noticed the item buried under it. Alliera cleared away some of the snow, and pulled out the Sith Sword, feeling the power of the thing. Alliera, with the SIth sword fastened to her armor, started running back to where Velok told her to meet her. After a day and a half of force enhanced running, Alliera leaned back against a tree in the place she met Velok, resting and taking a closer look at the sith Sword she had found, running a finger along the blade carefully.

"WHere did this blade come from?" Alliera asked, looking at Velok "It's powerfull, and beautiful."

The Dark Lord had, of course, spent those three days meditating in the wild -- taking the time to do something he'd put off for a good while.

Constructing a holocron.

All of his, of course, were now in Ashin's possession, and in the custody of the Master of Vaults, Lord Dissero. And thus, he needed to make a new one. Holocron craftsmanship was, so far as he was aware, a skill which nobody else had mastered in the modern era, and he needed to keep those skills sharp.

"The history of that blade is contained in this holocron," he said, activating it. "I've put a very specific set of knowledge into it. Everything I know about Djem So combat, everything I know about enhancing your body with the Force. Skills like this can't be learned in days or weeks; they need to be honed over a lifetime. This holocron will stand you in good stead. Take it.

"In simplest terms, the blade was made by an old friend of mine, a master alchemist named Darth Kharonos. It's simple durasteel, but strengthened and sharpened by powerful alchemy -- that's what gives it that pale colour. It will repel a lightsabre, and its grip and hilt are insulated against lightning. It's one of the finest swords ever made, in my opinion. It gives you no special powers; it's a simple, straightforward tool. It's known as the Pale Blade.

"That sword once tasted the blood of Ashin Varanin. One of her many scars. I used that blade against her while she cast down the Sith'ari Centrality, and the Pale Blade is the weapon I used when she struck me down. May it serve you better than it served me."

Alliera looked at the sword, and fastened it back to her armor, deciding to make a shieth for it later. Alliera then thought about what Velok could teach her next, and remembered Rach using Sith Magic Sometimes, and that seemed to help him a lot. "what can you teach me about Sith Magic?" Alliera asked, looking at Velok "Rach uses it, and it serves him well enough."

"Rach knows only one spell, so far as I'm aware, but it's a powerful thing, a lethal thing. Sith Magic is the power to warp the fabric of reality. It requires pure will-to-dominate. Some say it requires pure evil, or at least a very deep connection to the Dark Side of the Force. I know some Sith Magic -- not as many spells as I would like, but some. The true master of Sith Magic is Sirella Valkner. I believe she knows every spell that still exists.

"If you are one of the three percent of Darksiders who have the natural gift to be able to learn Sith Magic, I would still question your commitment to the Dark Side of the Force. I would need to be convinced that you have the iron will to dominate, suppress, maybe butcher -- I would need to be convinced that you are worthy."

"I-I can't do that." Alliera said, frowning "I may be willing to do a lot of things to protect my people, but I will not become that..." Alliera racked her brain for more ideas for what she could learn from Velok, and what could be usefull in the future, before coming to an idea. "One skill I tried to keep up with is Telekenesis." Alliera said, floating one of her throwing knives in front of her to demonstrate "could you help me expand that?"

"So, no Sith Magic for you, even if you did have the gift. Hm. Telekinesis? We can work with that. You've been a specialist so long, and grown so strong in your specialties, that you'll never be able to throw boulders or starfighters around during a fight. But if you're able to take the time to focus all your strength, yes, you could do effective things with telekinesis.

"That boulder over there, the one that's half-buried in the ground. It might take you five minutes or a minute or an hour, but remove it from the ground, with telekinesis only."
