Training in the Dark Arts

Location: Tatooine; former Tusken Raider territory in the outskirts of the desert near Mos Espa.

Vega soon come to realize training within a state of solitude would only benefit her expansion of knowledge in the dark arts of the force so far, before she needed to search elsewhere. As a result, Vega scoured the galaxy and her many systems and planets before stumbling across Tatooine. She didn't think the place still existed, but it was a nice surprise. Whether or not it was still gangster territory remained unbeknown to her; she was already breaching the planet's atmosphere within her HMP Predator, soon coming within the line of sight of Mos Espa from her cockpit. Vega glided over the busy city, taking her craft to the outskirts under Tusken territory. She got that much information from the hijacking the frequencies coming from Mos Espa where she tapped into their databases. There she found records of Tusken activity, and the coordinates of their location. Vega took her ship to the Tuskens, touching down within the depths of their base before stepping out to present herself.

The Tuskens yelled threats in their foreign tongue, pointing their weapons towards a silent Vega. The Sith took no notice of their threat; without warning she withdrew her lightsaber, the luminous purple blade humming to life as she thew herself towards the first Tusken she could get to. One by one she struck them down, until only a pile of Tusken corpses lingered within the camp. A fun experience, but she didn't come to challenge mere Tuskens. She desired the presence of another Sith.

As a result, Vega concentrated the force coursing within her physique, which she outburst in an attempt to attune her own force with any nearby Sith that could sense it. Be they in Mos Espa, Tatooine, or somewhere else within the system altogether remained unknown. If they were powerful enough they'd sense it from somewhere in the system, at least. While Vega waited for a supposed Sith to arrive, she maneuvered the Tusken weapons to hover around her through her knowledge in the force. From there she commanded the weapons to fire, dancing her blade through the air to counteract each and every possible shot she could. In case a Sith was yet to arrive, at least she could train with herself for the time being.

Captain Keeli

Captain Keeli, back from the dead.
Captain Keeli was zooming down the sand dunes on his BARC Speeder. He looked up and saw [member="Vega the Chaos Mage"] training her Sith skills on another dune.
Why is this scum even here? Shouldn't they be enslaving a galaxy or wallowing in their own anger?
Keeli reduced speed and kept his distance from her.
Should I engage? I'd get much recognition if I defeated a Sith. I think I will.
Keeli stopped his speeder and hopped off. He dusted of his kama and grabbed his helmet. He put it on and lowered the long range sights.
I got you now!
Keeli kept behind a rock and shouted.
"Aye you! What are you doing here!?"

Vega continued the sway her blade through the air as the clips of the hovering weapons continued to unload. However, she halted in her training immediately upon hearing the speech yelled, darting her eyes around as she motioned the guns to point away from her. They remained within the air, slowly swaying around her physique as an extension of her defense. Purple hues failed to fall upon a source for the voice, but she knew they were nearby. Somewhere. A bounty hunter, perhaps? She sensed no presence of the force - Jedi nor Sith.

"That all depends on what you're currently doing - stranger!" Vega yelled out her response as scorched eyes prolonged the hunt. "Are you a bounty hunter?" She added.

Captain Keeli

Captain Keeli, back from the dead.
Keeli remained hidden behind the rock.
"That doesn't matter. What does is that you are a Sith, and I hate Sith!"
Keeli three three grenades at Vega and leaped out from his hiding spot. He opened fir on Vega with his twin DC-17 pistols.

Vega would have responded to his statement if he hadn't engaged in conflict with her straight after. She'd give him a respond, though not just yet. First - she motioned three of the guns through the air to fire at each of the three grenades, resulting in their detonation before they got dangerously close to the Sith. However, the resulting blast caused an outburst which knocked the guns out of the air, leaving Vega to dance her luminous 'saber around in a circle before her chest to counteract the bullets. They negated the targets, sending them back in their trajectory as she stretched forth her left hand before her chest once lowering her blade. There she manifested a stream of the force, tampering with its power so she could tug one of the guns from his grasp and into her own. Whether or not he let go would have depended on whether or not he dodged the bullets. With them returning in their trajectory path - and Vega attempting to take one of his weapons - he could either stay where he was and attempt to save his gun, or let it go and avoid the returning bullets. Either way he'd lose something. Be that his life or gun would be in his hands. Somewhat.

Again, the Sith chose to prolong her silence. She wasn't getting arrested; however, she was concerned on why there was an individual Republican out here before her. Was he a bounty hunter for them? Nevertheless, the thought quickly slipped to the back of her mind as he came towards her, continuing to open fire. Considering he didn't attempt to save his weapon, it now resided in the grasp of her left hand where she returned fire while maneuvering her luminous blade to counter his bullets. Mere bullets weren't going to satisfy her, though. She came here to train in the dark arts of the force - so that is what she did.

Continuing to sway her weapon through the air, she let go of his gun and jabbed her fingers through the air towards his line of path, casting three streaks of lightning which soared towards him. Considering he was moving closer and closer, it was only logical the bolts would strike him, forcing him back with at least some injuries revolving around that of burns. She waited to see her result, though.

Keeli wasn't going to suffer....
He slide under the bolts and delivered a kick to Vega's chest. He began to fist fight her.
This scum thinks she can beat me? She must be kidding!

Well, he certainly had speed- she'd give him that. But that wasn't going to be enough, especially if he merely a republican soldier with but a gun and hands to challenge her. Vega welcomed his kick, allowing her to fall backwards towards the ground. However - considering he was now within range to apparently fist fight her - she was able to instantaneously pin her blade before her upon falling back, allowing her to sever the lower half of the leg he used to boot her. From there she rolled backwards to force herself back upon her feet where she forced her hand in front of her to cast a push summoned through the force, all while her blade continued to dance before her so he couldn't draw any closer.

Captain Keeli said:
(you can't just cut someone's leg off.)
// Can't just kick either without first making an attempt, which you didn't :/ Only reason I was in success was because you welcomed yourself so close to me. Sorry if that bothers you, but that's usually how the logic of it works. First you make an attempt, not a straight up autohit like you did. But I don't wish to argue lol, just go with me 'slashing' your leg for now, but in the future that's what usually happens if you're literate in your explanation.

(ok)
"Ahh, what did you do!? You'll pay for this!"
Keeli reached into his pocket and pulled out a knife. He jammed it into her thigh and lay back reeling in pain.

Vega yelled out her pain as the blade sunk into her scorched flesh, forcing her to drop onto one knee as she attempted to pull it out before he had a chance to retaliate. She'd suffered pain; although this was in fact painful, she was very familiar with its source. Being scorched wasn't a sensation one could easily forget. Nevertheless, Vega quickly yanked the weapon from her thigh and tossed it aside before forcing herself back a few steps on her feet to create some distance between them. That way she could get a better look and retaliation if he possible had another move to perform. Once the blade was out of her limb, Vega slammed her hand over the wound, electrifying her own leg so the wound would burn and scab to avoid bleeding out.

"Well, that makes us both with pain to a limb. Who sent you here?" Vega groaned out, carrying a hint of demand in her tone.

Captain Keeli, back from the dead.
"I'm a rogue captain. I naturally disliked Sith due to what they've done in the past. I refuse to be killed, but it appears that I can't walk anymore, so are you going to kill me? I'd rather not die."
Keeli hands started to shake, he was going into shock.

Vega's 'saber hummed with life as she lowered the blade near his left shoulder, hovering it there while he spoke. so, he was a rogue captain? That made her wonder why he spoke for the Republic earlier. Her eyes lowered to his hands, acknowledging the shaking performance they displayed. It wasn't cold - not on Tatooine. The only logical explanation was that he was suffering from some sort of shock. Something Vega couldn't cure. She withdrew the luminous blade into the metallic hilt, but still kept it in hand in case he tried to attempt anything of a last resort. She wanted information at the moment, and she intended on getting it.

"Kill you? No - not unless I have to. You appear to be in shock with your wound. If that don't kill you then today will be the day you cheated death. However, don't tell me what I wish to know, and today will most definitely be the day you meet then, rather than cheat it. You said you were a rogue captain; explain to me how that come to happen. For a moment I thought you may have been a bounty hunter.

Captain Keeli

Captain Keeli, back from the dead.
Keeli slowly looked up.
"I, deserted to get away from war. I've seen to much death in my time. I wish to never go back. What are going to do now?"

Vega scoffed "That's merely an excuse, . . 'captain'. Death is a part of war; there is justifiable reason for its participation in conflict." She went on to add, gliding her hand before her to lift one of his guns to rest between her scorched digits. From there she directed it down towards him and said, "You're no longer part of the Republic if you are a rogue, meaning I cannot claim a ransom for your life. What specialties do you possess that are beneficial enough to keep you alive? Do you have credits on you? Perhaps a payment from you will be something that sways my judgement towards keeping you alive."

Dar hated the desert. He hated everything about it, the heat, the dry wind. He fed that hate and it fueled him. Drawn here by a force presence he sprinted into the desert never breaking his pace. Only stopping when he arrived at his distination. A female sith, and a trooper standing by her. Walking briskly toward them his arms hid under his cloak. His bloodlust and rage was slowly creeping back into his mind but he didn't let it control him. "Greetings are any of you in need of assistance?" Honestly he didn't give a bantha dung about their wellbeing. He only came to investigate the force signature.
