"In my experience,
when you think you
understand the Force,
you realize just
how little you know"

[COMM TRAFFIC]

Jedi Knight Connel Vanagor stood in the training room, his combat shield raised in front of him as he faced off against a group of training droids. His cybernetic prosthetics and physical enhancements hummed with power as he moved with lightning speed, deflecting blaster bolts and striking back with precision.

Connel had always been a skilled fighter, but his fear of using a lightsaber had held him back in the past. It was only after he had lost his arm in a battle that he had turned to the shield as a means of defense. Surprisingly, he found that he excelled with the shield, using it to not only protect himself but also to disarm and incapacitate his opponents. There was an inherent flaw in this line of thinking though, as while the shield was amazing, he still needed cutting power, something that would be addressed later.

As he trained, Connel could feel the power coursing through his enhanced limbs, the strength and flexibility they provided making him feel invincible. But deep down, he knew that he was treading a dangerous path. His father, Jedi Master Caltin Vanagor, had been reportedly known for his arrogance and overconfidence in his strength and abilities. Traits that had never really surfaced around the younger Vanagor, but the reports were not misleading, were they?

Despite the odd looks and facial warnings from his fellow Jedi, Connel ignored the concerns about his growing ego. He was convinced that he was better now than he ever was, that his cybernetic enhancements had made him unstoppable. But as he continued to push himself to the limits, it clearly began to look like he was losing touch with the principles of the Jedi Order.

One day, during a training session, Connel's overconfidence got the better of him. He faced off against a group of droids, his shield raised high as he prepared to strike. But in his arrogance, he left himself open, and a blaster bolt struck him square in the chest, knocking him to the ground.

As he lay there, wounded and humbled, Connel finally understood the danger of his unchecked pride. He realized that true strength came not from physical enhancements, but from humility and self-awareness. With a newfound sense of purpose, he vowed to honor his father's legacy by embodying the true spirit of a Jedi Knight. That was the hope, at least, deep down he knew he just had to do..train harder.

From that moment, Connel trained with renewed focus and determination, using his shield not as a crutch, but as a tool to protect and defend. And as he honed his skills and embraced his true potential, he knew that he was on the path to becoming the Jedi Knight he was always meant to be.

Even moreso than father ever was.
