Aside from the people I pinged. Is there anyone else in the Republic who would be up for a practice fleeting battle including starfighter pilots? And who might desire to join a renewed Wraith Squadron whether ye be Forcers or not?
The premise is members of the new Wraith Squadron will test out new stealth modified X-Wings the Republic has in a set scenario with the Rendili Home Defense Fleet. They will attempt to collect data and recon the defenses of the target zone for the mock battle without being detected. The RHDF knows about the simulation, but will not be given a when to be fair.
Once the recon/patrol phase is over the squadron will back out quickly to report to the Republic Fleet. From there they will switch starfighters if desired for the actual battle, unless they are caught in which case the Republic Fleet will jump in sooner.
The RHDF and Republic Fleet will then square off in a mock battle contesting shut down sections of the Rendili Shipyards that aren't in service anymore. They will be defended by a pair of Rendili designed Firestar class defense stations. All weapons will be powered down to simulation settings so that the hits will be registered over the sensors and we can tell when a fighter, capital ship, or the shipyards have fallen. The mock battle ends when the yards have been "destroyed", captured, or the Republic Fleet has been defeated or forced to retreat.
Should this training go well and the higher ups feel satisfied with the quality of writing and the level of teamwork between pilots and fleeters, we may then attempt a Raid.
All of this has been approved so now let's see if anyone's interested shall we?
