Training session on Ossus

FN-2446

White Wolves Gunner
Eden entered the courtyard, looking around, not looking for anyone in specific, only a master to train her.
She found no one, she had looked around for hours at a time, sighing and beginning to walk back to her ship.
But then.. she felt something... something strange.. very strange, what she had felt she /knew/ was a worthy master.
She tried to look for the source of this feeling in the force, then she spotted someone.
She decided not to disturb the woman.. but just wait for her, attempting to send her a message through the force like the Sith did in the club.

"Hello? I don't know if you're feeling this... or hearing it... but, I've been looking for a master to train me through the path of the Jedi, the right path."

Eden then sat down after sending the woman the message, wondering whether or not she got her message.

((Sorry if you don't like the post! I didn't really know if the courtyard was just a name, or an actual place. So... yeah.

The day had been peaceful so far. Meditation was a preferred pass-time as of late with the recent departure and closure of her first Padawan who had reached knighthood. It had set that spark of pride spiraling through the master’s systems but that was absolutely no reason to skip out on the sitting-around that came with being a jedi.

For the peace was comforting. To know that for now -- even if that ‘for’ was just a short-while -- Kana could once more be at peace and take things at her own pace. A deep calm breath. A relief effort on her nerves.

Except it was interrupted by an unfamiliar voice inside her mind. A request for help, in a sense.

‘I can hear you just fine.’ Kana smiled to herself as she sent a mental message back. ‘I might be able to help you with that. But first I want to know who you are, Padawan… ?”

(( It was a great intro, don’t worry about it. Intros are a thing that’ll grow on you as you go on. :) ))

Eden smiled greatly as she had seen her mental message worked. She then sent another mental message to the master, answering her questions.
'I am Eden Gyll, 20 years of age and Epicanthix."
She then quickly stood up, clasping her hands in joy as she believed she found a master to train her.
She looked around for this person, seeming to have disappeared into the crowd of people in the courtyard.

The smile kept going strong. ‘Well then, Eden Gyll. I am Master Kana Truden, twenty-seven of age and Alderaanian.’

Humor was the best thing Kana knew. No denying that. ‘What is it that you seek in a master, Padawan Gyll? Who do you see yourself becoming with the help of your master?’

Eden continued to look throughout the crowd, responding to Kana's messages each time she received them, she didn't even seem hesitant to answer the questions.

'Well, what I hope to see in a master that will train me is that the master is kind yet persistent with me.'
'What I hope to see myself becoming with the help of my master is to become a Jedi Master of my own, so then I can train a Jedi Padawan, and keep the cycle going.'

Eden continued to sit inside her 'freighter', smiling as the small R2 droid rolled up to her.
It rammed into Her leg, making a sequence of low pitched, grumble-like beeps.
"Someone isn't feeling good today."
She then sent back her mental message, 'Do you think you're that kind of master?'

[member="Kana Truden"]

Kana had been engulfed in meditation again. The messages of her newfound friend had reached her but she hadn’t responded to her. A shot of guilt shot through her system like a dart.

‘I believe those goals are very noble, but Master is not a title to strive for as much as earn once the time is right. Now, keeping the cycle going on the other hand, that I can help with to be certain.’

She had to react to the other message too, of course.

‘I can be that master. Find me in the courtyard and we will take it from there.’

Kana remained seated under her favorite tree and meditated. A blonde woman just waiting to be found. That was her.

(( Sorry for the delay, things got in the way :( ))

Eden had stood up, walking around the courtyard as she asked the people around.
"Have you seen Kana Truden?"
They all shook their heads with a no.
Eden then saw a woman sitting under a tree, she approached her with a smile.
"Excuse me, have you seen Master Kana Truden?"
As the woman looked back up to Eden, she would see an R2 droid rolling up behind her.
Eden simply stood there, waiting for an answer.

A young woman and an R2-unit approached her. Brown eyes asking Kana if she was herself as white hair swayed in the wind. She seemed to be only a bit younger than Kana. A member inducted while a young adult like herself, perhaps? Hmm…

“That depends, Padawan Gyll.” Kana smiled. “When did you last see her and what does she look like?”

It was another part of the joke. “I might have seen myself around here somewhere.”

She let the silence hang for a bit.

“So you found me, Eden. What now? What can I do for you?”

Eden tilted her head, she thought Kana would know what to do by now, but she didn't.
She simply responded with one word, "Train?"
The R2 Droid released it's hand, hitting Eden in the leg, as if she had said something wrong.
The R2 Grumbled in a Low-Pitched beep.
Eden would simply pat the droid on the dome, stopping the grumbling.
The Droid spun around, rolling back to where Eden was before she had came to find Kana.
[member="Kana Truden"]

“Yes, train is a very important aspect to being in a Master-Padawan relationship.” Kana laughed, again. “But I meant more in the sense of what you want to train.”

“I can help you with a few things, not in a great deal of skills but I can guide you to others that could complement such things. After all, as a Master my responsibility lies not at just teaching you but guiding you. So tell me, Eden. What is it you wish to learn?”

She listened, before responding with
"LightSaber Form I?"
She had always wanted to know the lightsaber forms, fascinated by them really.
The droid was seen watching the two from afar, its hollowed out grumbles echoed across the courtyard.
[member="Kana Truden"]

“Very well. Shii-Cho it is.” Kana got up from the ground. “It’s the very first and basic form, but you already know that.”

Kana led the two of them away from the courtyard and into one of the few training chambers around the temple. Training sabers were retrieved and given to both student and teacher. A flick of the switch would cause a green non-lethal plasma beam to erupt and Kana looked over at her student.

“You know how to work a saber, I hope. Ever had used one of these?”

[member="Eden Gyll"]

She took the Saber in her hand, staring down at it.
"Well, I've used it once, I hope that is enough."
She looked back up at Kana, tilting her head, still hoping this was enough.
[member="Kana Truden"]
((Sorry about the Delay

"It's certainly enough." Kana nodded. "Just for the sake of it we'll repeat those lessons again."

Without much further ado Kana flicked the saber on and pointed it to the floor. Both hands on the hilt she straightened her back and looked over at [member="Eden Gyll"].

"It's called the Determination Form, or 'Shii-Cho' to most. It was the first form adapted for lightsabers back in the very early days of, well, lightsabers. It's a good stepping stone into other styles since it's got a bit of everything yet isn't very good at anything at all when compared to other forms."

"So first take up stance. Just mirror me and we'll move on to the next step."

Eden had tried her best to copy the exact position that Kana had taken, doing a fairly well job, but not too perfectly.
She stood there, waiting for anymore instructions, before clearing her throat and speaking up "Like this?"
She waited for the next step, breathing quietly.
[member="Kana Truden"]

"Yes, like that." Kana smiled reassuringly. "Now, as I said the form is very basic. Your goal for a first move is to strike at me. First on the Vertical, then the diagonal and then the horizontal. Just a few basic attacks and we'll dig deeper in a bit."

"Nothing spectacular, just try to hit me with it as best you can."

Kana readied her saber to block the attacks from [member="Eden Gyll"].

FN-2446

White Wolves Gunner
She turned from the current position she was in, readying herself to attack vertically.
Eden took a quick step back, then attempting to strike vertically, after doing this, she readied herself to strike horizontally.

Eden removed herself from the position she was copying from Kana, then preparing herself to strike vertically, after striking vertically, she would takes step back, preparing to strike Horizontally.

[member="Kana Truden"]

"You're doing good, Eden." Kana would say as she blocked the padawan's attacks. "However your attacks are slightly off your target."

"Let the force flow through you, trust in it and then strike."

Kana readied herself for the horizontal strikes with a vertical guard. [member="Eden Gyll"] was doing good, but she could stand to prolong her attacks a bit more. A repetition of both vertical and horizontal attacks in the same sequence would benefit her greatly.

"I'm ready, try to hit me again."
