Training the Rebel Alliance [Rebel alliance]

Redwood_slope.jpg
East Endor, Rebel Alliance training exercise.
Mrrew stood with his arms crossed on a small wooden platform constructed in the middle of the large clearing where the rebels were expected to land their various ships. He'd paid the local Ewoks with some shiny knick knacks and a comlink or two to construct the area for the training exercise- so everything was sent up in time. Two small wooden shacks were constructed, one at each side of the large area of forest marked for this exercise. Also, he'd had the Ewok set up some of their famous traps, primitive but useful. It was to bad so few people were coming...

Once the few people that were coming, only eight, Mrrew cleared his throat, to give the briefing.

"Right. The purpose of this exercise is to see how any of you do in an actual combat situation, as well as to choose squad leaders for the Alliance. You'll be split in to two teams, each led by ones I've figured are most likely to become Field Captains."

As the Togorian spoke, his little astrodroid rolled around the people, passing each of them a little datapad with images of two Z2 Servant droids, and small wooden shacks.

"Your objective is to get to the other squad's territory, and kidnap their droid, bringing it back to yours. Basically, the oldest training exercise in history; Capture the flag. Depending on how well you do, what you do, how you decide to complete your objective, and if you even do it, i'll decide who becomes the new marine field captains, who will be able to hand pick their squads. Your datapads will show the teams."

On queue, the datapads changed to display lists:

Team one, west territory:
1.) [member="Noah Corek"] - Team leader
2.) [member="Hunter Cain"]
3.) NPC (If someone joins late, they may fill this spot)
4.) NPC (If someone joins late, they may fill this spot)

Team two, east territory:
1.) [member="Lupe Baracka"] - Team leader
2.) [member="Ace Thrakish"]
3.) [member="Yusan Fenn"]
4.) NPC (If someone joins late, they may fill this spot)

"Get to your territories, we'll start shortly. All weapons must be set on stun."

[[OOC: The team leaders can control the npcs, decide what they are, ect. No Gen'adi, or ridiculous things like that. I will be narrating everything, and controlling the Ewok traps that've been set up to make things interesting. (note, btw, that the droids aren't battle droids. They have no weapons or fighting capibilties at all.)

Posting will go in the order of Noah> Lupe> Hunter> Ace> team 1 placeholder> Yusan. If no one posts for 18 hours, their turn is skipped. If anyone joins in late, i'll asign them to whatever squad has the least PCs. Please tag the next person in the posting order in your post. The exercise will start once everybody has either posted, or been skipped- I will announce the start.

Note: No lightsabers, Lupe, the goal isin't to kill our allies. >_>

Pm me if you have any questions.]]

Yusan watched the trees as the wind was funneled through them, listening for the others to arrive at the camp and taking precautions to make sure his armor was fitting right. It had been far too long since he was in a fight and he needed to make sure that he lost none of those skills that he relied on. For now though he waited and watched, looking for someone to arrive and for everyone to be ready for what ever was going to happen.

Lupe leered the data-pad. "I'm a team leader... wow."

What would his Master Zaren think? Well, that's irrelevant. Lupe truly wanted to prove himself as a leader in a movement for liberty; he was shooting to become a field captain, this group would be destined for greatness. Like Capture the flag, hmm...

One of Lupe's favorite games on the his dismantled home planet of Harrun Kal. He knew how to put pressure on the opposing defense at the right time, this would be cake with his teams cooperation. He felt sometimes soldiers got lost in the depth of his playbook, but these are freedom fighters.... The smartest breed. He looked at the members of the team he was on,

"Hey, let's walk to our droid... we can then talk. ANY head start is a good one."

Lupe shook everyone's hand and head to his base. He saw the droid awaiting them. He was ready. He looked into his backpack and emptied it's contents: A lightsaber, a training lightsaber and a gallon of water. He clipped the training lightsaber to his belt and took a small sip out of the jug.

"Sit and take some water."

He handed the jug to a random cadet and took a swig of his flask, he liked a bit of fermented drink to fog up his mouth; battle time liquor. He grabbed a stick and just started speaking.

"My plan isn't perfect; all idea's need to be spoken. I suggest they stay productive and progressive though."

Lupe wasted no time drawing a square.

"I feel we have no time to introduce ourselves now; I will make sure that happens over a drink later; I'll take you guys out."

He drew circles to represent people. He hopped they would get his plan full of situationals quick.

"We are going to embrace the barrage that almost always is executed; slip through the cracks as they thin themselves out. As I said, I say we are... but feel free to discuss revisions."

"I think we are are going to align ourselves as a wall protecting our droid, which I think should be hidden under those fallen tree's. They form a perfect hole for him."

Lupe pointed to 6 tree's fallen, they had much space under them.

"If we form a wall they will most likely send troops to us. We can assume 2 will come and 2 will stay at base, but any amount is compatible. We should fend however many they send, we have the majority so odds are we win..."

Lupe scanned the group with his eyes.

"We will attack, don't worry. We just want to stay to help fend off the attackers. Once we do a number on the offense, 2... well ideally two people will slip out to go attack their defenders. They will need to be quick and flank their wall. Once someone gets a grip of the droid... our attackers should only stay around long enough so he can get a head start."

Lupe nodded.

"Escort him back. That is the most important factor, next to our speed of course. Timing will also be key. As attackers are stunned to the point in which they are inactive, defenders should come to help the offense. ONE defender should always be guarding the droid. "

Lupe stood and smiled.

"It's a lot I know. Any questions or ideas? I think we have this in the bag if we put up a strong enough wall to start. We need to be quick and smooth."

Lupe stood up and was ready to hear the rest of the team speak.

Agent Hunter Cain sat waiting for the team leader of his squad to arrive. Hunter primarily worked alone, but having recently offered his services to the Rebel Alliance, he had decided to join this training exercise.
He poured through the intel on the provided datapad as he made his own initial tactical assessment. It was pretty standard. Recover the opposition's droid, while defending your own.

Hunter looked at the rest of the squad, they seemed nervous, anxious. No doubt the absence of their leader wasn't helping.

He offered them a friendly smile. He wasn't their leader, but Hunter understood the importance of morale. "So, where you guys from?"
He asked, trying to break the ice, and hopefully, ease some of their fears.... Ace Thrakish

Sitting on a large log, Ace Thrakish would be seen holding his military issued Republic blaster rifle, adjusting many nobs and switches on it's design. After setting it's firing to stun, the large armored man would climb to his feet, turning the safety on his weapon, before letting it hang from his shoulder. Walking along the grass and dirt of Endor, the Ex-Republic soldier would approach [member="Hunter Cain"], giving the man a nod and a brief handshake. "Ex-Republic. Best of luck." He would say, turning his T-visor'd face in order to look for [member="Lupe Baracka"], who was their team's captain. Sighing quietly, Ace would make sure to have his intercom system within the helment switched off, as he made an advance on the dark skinned Jedi. He did not see the Jedi in a very positive way.

"Greetings, Captain Baracka." He would say, saluting rather professionally. The man was obviously eager for the exercise, for capture the flag was a favorite game of his.

East Endor, Rebel Alliance training exercise.
Mrrew sat on a little lawn chair on his wooden platform, watching a small datapad showing various parts of the area they were training in, next to an Ewok who was also in a lawn chair, a minatture one, sat next to him. He'd had the Ewoks set up cameras all over the trees so that he could view the 'battle' from here, and his datapad showed images of both team's shacks, as well as various tactical positions all over the training area. He'd also had them install hidden speakers...

"The exercise is starting, now. If you're stunned, you'll be taken out of the exercise and any minor wounds will be treated back at the clearing. Keep in mind, the longer this goes on the more.... obstacles will appear. Courtesy of our Ewok friends. I'll be keeping a close eye on everyone, to see how everyone does- and who needs further training. Good luck."

OOC: May the games begin, and may the odds be ever in your favor! :p
[member="Noah Corek"] - 'Tis your turn.

Oh crap, sorry i didn't see that.))

Yusan moved silently with that of [member="Lupe Baracka"] and [member="Ace Thrakish"]. He hadn't spoken but when he did come up to them he gave Lupe a bow and spoke quickly and with reservation. "Greetings Sir, when do we move out and what are our roles or positions." His eyes glance over to Ace as he stood there with his helmet off, his face scarred by burns that had yet to fully heal from back on Ossus and his limp still partially evident from the attack on Coruscant many months ago. His suit helped him though, serving as a way for him to stay protected from such easy injuries again, and oh how he was ready to be back in the field.

The Senate had made him soft, and the New Order had ruined his reputation, he would see that returned but first he would see that his time in the Rebel Alliance was done with a certain zeal that would be directed at anyone that made themselves his foe. Cold hard eyes were all that came from him now, though his aura was particularly light, his expression a complete opposite of his true being.
