DESCRIPTION
Naturally, Transgalactic Cuisine is a brilliant and — more importantly – brilliantly legal business all on its own. The paperwork’s clean, the employees are vetted, the chefs are crème de la crème. Oh, and the food? Critics, reviewers, and inspectors practically tear each other apart at the chance to visit a TC restaurant.

The waitlists are longer than Ket Van-Derveld’s roster of powers – unlike the man, however, they deliver on every front.

The staff are fantastic, subtle, and expertly trained. The ambient is pleasing, unobtrusive, and ever tasteful. The ingredients are always fresh and top of the line, and the cooks are masters of their craft. Menus vary from restaurant to restaurant, often catering to a local preference while drawing inspiration from the more exotic of galactic cuisines.

Most notable among TC’s current assets are:

The End of the World; also known as ‘Restaurant with the view’ because it floats in a glasteel dome above the furious volcanic surface of Sullust – a truly breathtaking vista to accompany the breathtaking meal. With a seat on the right side of the station, one can even spy the New Jedi Order temple in the distance.

The Jagged Crown; a sprawling restaurant perched atop the massive pyramid that once served as a hall of worship to the bloody and the wild – the Primeval. Much of the interior décor remains to inspire awe, complete with a far-reaching panorama of Ravelin, Bastion’s capital.

The Red Jewel; perhaps one of the most controversial establishments to this day, this restaurant draws as many people for its location as it does for its fantastic food – it was built upon the ruins of Centax Memorial Wall, a One Sith military fortress that had fallen during the Alliance retaking of Coruscant.

The devil’s in the details, however. The guests that converse and dine here are without fail exceptionally rich members of the galactic society. Coming into that sort of wealth is more often than not tied to an abandon of moral and principle – and this is exactly the sort of client that Nadir knows and loves.

Unknowns can thus be marked as persons of interest and contacted later down the line – those who are already associates find themselves privileged in these establishments. Reservations simply appear, access to VIP sections and specially-made meals becomes a given, and, perhaps most importantly – they may meet in the backrooms built into every TC restaurant. These rooms don’t appear on any floor plans, have their own, closed-circuit security, sound-proofed walls, and special waitstaff. Which, incidentally, can pour wine as well as they can put bullets between eyes.

RATIONALE
Putting all your eggs in one basket has been, historically speaking, an abysmal business plan. In the end, it never pans out, somebody ousts you, and then you’re dead in the water with nowhere to go and a specialized portfolio that’s worth kark all.

Diversity, ladies, gents, and other gentlepersons, is where it’s at.

Someone high up Nadir’s foodchain who shall remain unnamed holds a fierce love of food. Good food, to be perfectly precise. Because credits aren’t an issue when you’re running a multi-million drug-, arms-, and armor-manufacture, purchasing a number of high-end restaurants was the natural first step. Carefully done through a plethora of shell companies and fake identities, these fine establishments changed hands with no-one the wiser.

On the surface, few things changed. Security tightened, subtly, over the course of months. Quick renovations around the back, but nothing major. The regulars only reported an increase in quality, if anything.
