STRENGTHS

• Tricksaber - Anathemous' unique "Tricksabers" appeared similarly to a set of Split sabers at a glance, interlocking via twisting gription mechanisms in lieu of a traditional Pommel cap, though their simple appearance belied more complicated components. Hidden within the hilt was a telescopic shaft made from lightsaber resistant Phrik, allowing the simple lightsaber to transform into a Lightsaber Staff nearly as long as it's creator is tall while inactive.

WEAKNESSES

• Cortosis - In addition to the various challenges still faced by modern lightsabers, the tricksabers used by Darth Anathemous did not make use of modern countermeasures against the infamous Cortosis defenses utilized in the post-gulag era, though the cause of this lacking defense remains a mystery.

DESCRIPTION

The so called "Tricksabers" utilized by Darth Anathemous were the second set in a series of transforming lightsaber hybrids designed by the young sith lord. They were borne of a fascination with lightsaber auxiliaries and a desire for adaptability typical of a Niman user, but also the challenges of training under Darth Carnifex. These lightsabers, like their predecessors, were designed with lessons in mind learned from facing larger and more aggressive foes. Transforming into a lengthily staff allowed the wielder to keep foes at a distance and to even the playing field against their reach advantage, while their split design allowed simultaneously overwhelming offense and flexible defense up close, in the right hands.

Earlier in the swordswoman's career however, her first set of sabers were destroyed during a heated duel on Echnos, forcing the newly risen sith lord to reconstruct her sabers from the ground up using pieces salvaged from the previous pair.

Unlike their predecessors, these new sabers featured fewer but more robust and reliable internal components.
