Tricksy Learning Tricks

Tricksy sat waiting, she had used the SSC systems to find a master. Relayed the message through other Jedi and force users to find someone willing to teach her. Now she sat there, on the training field out on one of the many mountains covering Voss. The cold morning air slightly tugged at her fur and hair, she extended her senses trying to find any sign of another force user approaching. Through reading in the SSC’s archives she had made some progress in how to use the force. She now had the ability extend her senses beyond her physical body and very minor telekinesis.

Before she had come here she had been down in the courtyards on the SSC’s grounds. Training and maintaining her skills with her rapier and baton. In the archives she had learned that there were multiple forms or styles while using a lightsabre. She was determined to learn all of them, however this was something she could largely do by herself, she was an adept fighter already and understood how it all fit together. The raw use of the force however was something entirely different, she had yet to understand the full potential of the force. So she sat there waiting, trying to sense her trainer to arrive.

Vulpesen smiled as he strode over the surface of voss. It was a beautiful planet, and one he rather enjoyed traveling over. Moreover, it was a place of yet another force sect, the voss mystics, though he would have to postpone any meetings with those folk until after he had completed his purpose for being here. Through his transmisions, he'd been given coordinates and a location which he then traveled to.

Taking his first look at this new student, he found himself a bit stricken by the odd appearance. He'd seen a few Tintinna in his travels, but none in recent years. It was a refreshing change from the ever common humans, and human faced species. "I take it that you're Tricksy." It was an odd name, though he supposed it suited her. What he really focused on however, was her connection and feel in the force, far more important than her species or name, it would give him a feel of just who he was to impart his knowledge to.

Tricksy was relieved that she felt her teacher approach, although she didn’t have the ability to sense any details about the approaching person, but whom else could it be. After he had spoken she opened her eyes and rose. This would reveal how truly small she was, she stretched just over 1/3 of the height of the man in front of her. But that didn’t matter to her, gave her more advantages then disadvantages, especially when she going to become a master force user so that she could be a protector against evil, a protector of people.

She now looked up at the man in front of her pushing away her thoughts and plans, then with a slight bow “Yes that is me, I assume that you are here to teach me” now looking up at the man waiting for his answer, a pleasant smile upon her face.

His eyes glanced down at her while his tail swayed under his coat. It wasn't the first time he'd met a diminutive force user, nor was it the first time he had taught one, and given that he was raised by Amarans, he wasn't one to judge by such things. "You assume correctly." His golden eyes lit up as he introduced himself. "Vulpesen Espadus Torrevaso, Valde of the Zorren people, and trainer in my spare time. Speaking of training, I will need to know what experience you have in the force, as well as what you wish to learn from me."

Tricksy nodded “Very nice to meet you, my experience in the force is somewhat new, or that is to say that my awareness of it is somewhat new. I do have managed to attain basic skills in accessing the force at will and some minor telekinesis”

Tricksy closed her eyes and focused, reaching out with the force she felt around for a nice rock, skimming over the ground she quickly found it. She smiled, she became more adapt to the force every day. The she focused her thoughts on lifting the stone and then she picked up a rock roughly the size of her head, up a meter or two, to then let it fall back down.

Tricksy opened her eyes and looked at the man “As you can see I have the ability to lift a rock, however I would like to be able to become better and faster at this, so that I have the possibility to use this while I would be otherwise occupied like whilst sword fighting”

Vulpesen's ear flicked to her words, listening intently as she spoke. Then as the rock rose up in the air, he gave her a bit of a smile while his tail flicked from side to side. "Well, its good to know that you can at least access your abilities. As for speed in using telekinesis, I think you've come to the right person. To demonstrate his words, Vulpesen focused on that same rock and within a moment, it was launched from the ground. Instead of rising, the stone would dart towards a tree, much like an arrow before embedding itself in the trunk. "Its one of my more practiced abilities."

(Sorry I'm late. Works been hell for me)

Tricksy grinned as the man rocketed the rock in the tree and then spoke in eager excitement “First of all, that is amazing! That is exactly what I want to learn!” She calmed herself and continued “Will you teach me this?” Then she waited, excited. Wondering what great thing lay in her future, wondering where the limits of the force were, or if there were any.

(no problem, life has a tendency to get in the way from time to time. Or at least stop us from doing things we wish to do)
