Marksman: Trista is a fairly good shoot with most blaster and slugthrower weapons, largely due to her upbringing in social hunts and extensive military training.
Redoubtable: Trista is fairly strong, both physically and mentally, as a result of her conditioning to join the Concord Guard.
WEAKNESSES
Idealistic: Having a sheltered life, she has fairly idealistic view of the larger galaxy.
Poor Night Vision: Like many hapans, her vision in darkness isn't as good as that of a baseline human.
APPEARANCE:
Trista has a fairly athletic build from romping around the marshlands of her homeworld (Terephon), whether it was simply exploring or taking part in the social hunts. Yet she carries herself and moves with the stately grace characteristic of many of her people as a result of her upbringing among the nobility of that world. Her blue eyes tend to be regarded as soft and her face is usually pretty expressive. She has a fairly easy-going mannerism and casualness about her which extends to her frequently artistic but not wholly well-kept hair. She prefers her clothes to be slightly loose-fitting and casual when not on duty - otherwise she wears the appropriate uniform, which is typically kept almost ostentatious maintained, except for one typically minor but otherwise glaring detail (like a patch or a medal on the wrong side of the uniform).
BIOGRAPHY:
The result of an affair between a noble of Terephon and a visiting offworlder VIP, Trista managed to grow up both inside of and outside of Hapan nobility. Her upbringing among the aristocracy was filled not only with Core World tutors and some of the finest learning opportunities her mother could afford, but also frequent hunts in the moors and marshes with the murgs. Unlike her siblings, she was not considered to be a legitimate heir to her mother's position, which meant that she was not a social threat to them. This in turn meant that she actually had fairly warm relationships with all of them. But while she was frequently with them, she was not of them. She had little interest in the social maneuvering and plots but instead found a great love of the outdoors. The teenage Trista could be called more of a tom boy during her free time, hunting in the marshes with murgs or flying different types of speeders across the desolate moorlands.
When she reached adulthood, she followed in the planet's long history of providing exceptional soldiers to the Hapan crown by joining her mother's house's guard as an officer. She enjoyed the more socially impartial but strict structure of the military lifestyle, but she also found garrison duty on Terephon to be entirely boring after "several years of inaction". When the opportunity came to escape by joining a group of Hapans would be joining the Concord Guard to serve outside of Hapes (largely staged as a political act of goodwill among the rest of the Concord), she was quick to volunteer. The selection process was rigorous, but she managed to just get into it (little did she know that she quietly helped in the process by a helpful bribe from her mother). Now travelling outside the Hapes Cluster, Trista has finally found her chance to explore the greater galaxy.
