Shai was thoroughly melted into Xyoz's bed, with only the blanket to keep her modest. She had woken up earlier, but merely rolled around again and slept further in the heavenly cloud of a bed. After everything that happened, she needed a good break for a moment. A chance to step away from all of the drama, take off her armour, and simply relax. A time to actually be by her husband's side for longer than just a few days... preferably without trying to tear his throat out as well.

They needed to go back to his home world sometime. The wedding and honeymoon was nothing short of perfect, but even then it wasn't enough time to explore it all. The temple's luxuries also didn't hurt... but even that didn't come close to the new ship of his.

Eventually hunger forced her out of bed, and the lethargic Shistavanen shuffled like a zombie over to the fridge with his stash of blood. The first sip certainly managed to stir some life back into her, and soon she was plastered over the couch with the very expensive theatre system's remote in her hand. She didn't even watch anything for a good few minutes, simply enjoying the massive screen and quality of the display. She wasn't exactly sure where Xyoz was, though she wasn't troubled. He was a busy man now, he had operations to run. She offered to help out if needed, but she knew he was on top of it. It made her proud to see her man finally getting on top of the Galaxy.

With another long sip, she selected a show and stretched out across the delightful couch. "Hot damn, babe, I'm definitely gonna be visiting more..." She sighed to herself with a content smile.

"Oh? If I just needed money to keep you around I woulda started slinging spice forever ago."

Xyoz let out a soft chuckle as he stepped through the door, already working on taking off his jacket. Looking fly was par the course of his chosen profession. And, well. He liked looking nice. It was better than the savage he used to look like. Without hesitation he lifted Shai's legs, plopped on the couch, and let them settle on his lap as he got just as comfortable as she seemed to be.

"Long day, huh?" He cracked a wide, all too knowing grin.

Shai's head turned to look at Xyoz as he stood in the doorway, a beaming smile forming along her features as he walked over to her. "Eh, the luxuries are nice, but it's the suit that'll keep me sticking around." She quipped as he lifted her legs and dropped into the couch. She still couldn't get over how good it felt to feel his hands on her again, without the sensory input of a cybernetic limb.

"Oh you got no idea." She let out a long groan as she laid her head back. "Woke up stiff as a board, thanks to some smug mutt in a suit I met last night, the bed is way to soft for a hardened warrior like me, and the food, oh the blood is simply too refined a taste!" She complained with sarcasm dripping from every word. She lifted her head again and gave a smug grin. "Though I ain't complaining one bit." She muttered, tugging at his shirt with her toes. She got up and straddled him with her arms resting over his shoulders as she planted a deep kiss on his lips. "It's really good to see you on top of the galaxy, babe. This suit fits like a glove." She muttered, her crimson eyes glimmering with admiration. Her eyes moved down to look at the golden rings around their fingers, merely adding to the joy in her heart. "Still getting used to this, not gonna lie." She quipped, holding the ring up.

She slumped off him and walked around the couch to rest her hands on his shoulders, giving him a relaxing massage as she looked down at him. "You look tense, though. What's up, babe?" She asked him as her hands continued to work him over. Luckily she was in a position now where she had more than enough strength to have an effect on him. Her gaze moved up to the massive screen as a laugh escaped her. "Can you believe this? Show's called 'The Mandalorian.' The amount of liberties they take with the culture's amusing to say the least. Though I think you'll like it. Looks like something up your alley." She commented casually as she worked down along his back.

Xyoz snickered for a moment before just reaching out to press a finger to her lips. "Ya don't gotta breathe anymore, but take a breath, love." He was getting plenty better about how to navigate conversation, but even he couldn't keep up with that line of conversation. His hand lowered, to touch hers. Brush the rings together as he took her hand in his. Just briefly, until he felt her hands on his shoulders. He snickered, relaxing almost immediately.

"Denon's got a vigilante problem. Makes running my business there kinda annoying, but it's nothing I can't handle. Grant it, I don't wanna kill kids so it's just.. Slow going, I guess?"

Shai Maji Shai Maji

Shai blinked as he raised a finger to her lips to calm her down. It certainly did the job, with the Shistavanen immediately falling silent as she looked down... only to gently catch his finger with her teeth in a smug grin. She said nothing in the moment, letting her sultry eyes do the talking before she got off him and helped him to relax.

"Vigilante problem? Hell, there's been a vigilante problem since I got there the first time. I've helped the corpos to hunt the vigilantes, and I've helped the vigilantes escspe the corpos." She snickered as her hands moved up again to his shoulders. "Glad you don't wanna kill 'em, though..." Her hands clamped down on the nerves in his collarbones as she leaned in close, her maw less than an inch from his ear. "That would've earned a few weeks on the couch at least... and definitely not this couch." She muttered with a faint growl in her otherwise calm voice.

Her hands luckily relaxed again and she gave his ear a gentle nip with her teeth. "If you need help to find 'em, I'll help ya. It's the least I can do. But... if there's nothing else to do, I figured we can go for a night out. Coruscant or somewhere. Make a date out of it." She leaned down and rested her head on his shoulder as she stared ahead of them. "We haven't had a proper night out to ourselves in a while. What are you in the mood for?" She asked him as her hands wrapped around to hold onto him.

He cracked an all too wide grin as he watched her. Later.

Later for sure.

Then grumbled. "Man it was really fuckin' hard not to kill em. They kept throwin themselves at me. With knives n' shit. And y'know, in some cloud of acid. Kids wantin' to be super heroes can be the worst, y'know? If they ain't careful, someone will fuck em' up without a second thought." Xyoz reached up to rub at his brow. He didn't have the marks, sure. But it still damn hurt. Them stabbing him, anyway.

"Night out.. Yeah. Yeah, y'know what? That sounds better than anything else I was thinkin' of. Well, most things." The grin from before returned. This time with a wink.

"What'r ya thinkin'. Clubbin'? Drinkin'? Both?"

Shai Maji Shai Maji

Shai listened to his explanation of what happened and found herself feeling rather bad for him. She had to agree, it would be hard even for her not to snatch a kid by the neck and rattle them around if they were throwing acid at her and stabbing her. "Hey, don't worry about it. I can hunt 'em down for ya, easy peasy." Her head lifted from his shoulders as she continued to give him a massage. "Give 'em a proper lesson on what not to do around immortal beings." She chuckled.

Though her demeanour shifted as he asked what she was in the mood for. She lifted his chin until he was staring up at her looming over him. Leaning down, she planted a deep kiss on his lips, simply staring into his eyes. "How about all of the above? Nice dinner, just the two of us, somewhere fancy. Gotta let my baby show off his new threads properly." She gave his shirt a tug as she smiled down at him. "After that, we can check the nightlife out and then we can end the night on a high note." Her features curled into a mischievous grin as she let go of him.

"Lemme just pack some stuff. If there's one thing I learned, you never go to Coruscant without a gun on you..." She looked down at herself as a giggle escaped. "Probably gotta put some clothes on as well, huh?" She teased with a wink.

For the sake of simplicity, Shai insisted on them taking her brand new freighter to Coruscant. It was nowhere near as glamorous as his yacht, and she gave him all his days about that, but the cargo hold held another secret she wanted to show him. The gift was soon made apparent when they touched down and she led him down to the cargo hold. "Not nearly as good as that ship of yours, but definitely fitting for cruisin' around town." She commented, gesturing to the speeder in front of them.

To compliment the night out and stylish speeder, Shai decided to uncharacteristically dress up in a scarlet dress with a myriad of ear rings adorning her features. It was likely the third time in her life she wore a dress, but she was going full throttle on this trip with him. "Okay... who's driving? You feel confident in taking the wheel or should I drive?" She asked with a smirk, leaning against the hood of the speeder.

"All of the above, huh?"

He cracked an even wider grin at her wink before he casually got up, picked her up to toss over his shoulder, and laughed.

"Fine, fine. But you can wait to get dressed. Just for a lil' bit, eh?"

By the time they were chilling in her ship he was relaxed as can be. gone were the troubles of the punks he'd had to deal with. Instead, he was here. With Shai. Relaxing, chilling. Smiling and laughing. He let out a low whistle as he approached the speeder in question. Seems he wasn't the only one who got a taste for the finer things. And to think, they used to chill on her ship watching movies.

"Ah.. You. Still haven't figured out how people drive these things." He'd figured out a lot about modern technology.

Piloting wasn't one of those things.

"Sides, she's yours, yeah?" Xyoz winked as he watched her lean on the hood. Then moved, just to stand beside her. Lean down to steal yet another kiss. ".. Mm. Yeah. Cars nice. You're nicer."

Shai Maji Shai Maji

Shai was already packing her things into her bag for the trip. The clothing she tossed into his wardrobe were fetched right back out and packed in. Finally she picked out her tank top and shorts for the moment at least... though it quickly became apparent that Xyoz had other plans.

Shai shrieked as she was hoisted up and casually tossed over his shoulder, though a giggle did escape as he carried her off. The trip could probably wait a bit...

**********

Resting against the speeder, Shai watched with a glimmer in her eye as he studied the speeder. Naturally she was the designated driver, though she was going to have to teach him sometime. Even if he could hire someone, it was good to know how to do it on his own.

Her smile quickly turned into a mischievous smirk at his comment, though she said nothing as he leaned in and planted a kiss on her lips. "Hm... well..." She took hold of his tie and held him close for a moment. "Hate to break it to you, buttercup, but she's yours." She muttered as she gave the car a light tap on the hood. "Think of it as a late birthday present." She quipped, giving him one last kiss as she fixed his tie and pushed herself off the hood.

Sliding into the driver's seat, Shai took off with a beaming smile. The new car smell was still fresh inside, and the ride was like a dream. She was starting to reconsider the ownership. "All you gotta do is get your bodyguard or whatever to drive you around, then you cruise in the backseat with a smoke in one hand and drink in the other." She remarked as she spared a glance at him.

Eventually they reached a restaurant that looked way too nice for her taste, but she was going to make it work. Parking the speeder, Shai stepped out and hooked an arm around his as they made their way into the beautifully elegant restaurant. They were escorted to their table, where the name tag drew a chuckle from her. "I told them 'Xyoz and Shai Maji'... Guess you got a surname now." She quipped as she flicked at the little yellow hologram on the table.

divider.png

Xyoz raised a brow. Wait, his?

He again glanced to the speeder. Then back to her. And grinned. A goofier grin this time around as he leaned into the kiss again, deeper than she probably figured. "Been like, thousands of years since I last had a birthday. Dunno which day it is anyway, so.. Today. We'll make it today, mm?"

He nodded as if it was the smartest thing he'd said in his life. Then slid into the seat beside her with the ever wide grin on his lips. "I mean, I got the most badass Mando right here with me. Dunno if anyone's ever gonna fuck with me." Well no. People certainly would. But hey if he had Shai on his arm no one would. that much he was sure of. Especially in her armor.

.. Nah. That'd be too easy. Sides, dragging her into his criminal empire just seemed wrong given everything she'd already gone through.

".. Xyoz Maji, huh? I ain't had a last name in a long time. .. I can dig it, though."

Shai Maji Shai Maji

A laugh escaped as he decided on the spot to declare the day as his birthday. It was certainly one way to solve the problem, and there were no protests coming from her. "Well then, happy birthday, babe." She quipped. With that. they were off for their date at the snazzy restaurant. Shai couldn't help but feel like people were eyeing them. They were, after all, out of their element. Xyoz was adapting to his new profession well, but the battle hardened Mandalorian was far from elegant or refined. It most certainly showed in her posture and movements, the kind of things people noticed in places like this.

".. Xyoz Maji, huh? I ain't had a last name in a long time. .. I can dig it, though."

Her eyes widened for a moment as a faint blush burned her cheeks, a giggle escaped her as she sat down by the table. "Careful, people are going to think we're a healthy couple." She teased with a light nudge at his leg. When the time came to order, Shai blinked as she looked over the menu. Despite avoiding places like this, she knew a number of the meals. She even knew how to make a good portion of them, but ordering them for herself was bizarre. She looked up at Xyoz as an amused grin formed. The curious look she caught from the waiter only added to her pot-stirring mood. She knew what he was looking at. The blaster hole through her ear, the scars around her eyes, numerous other marks now fully on display along her neck, chest and shoulders. She flashed Xyoz a wink before she looked up at the waiter.

"Hey, I don't see it on the menu but don't hurt to ask, right? Do you guys uh..." She looked back to the menu for a moment. "Do you guys got the blood of vanquished heretics on tap?" She asked with a serious tone and a calm, polite smile.

The poor waiter stared at her in shock for a moment, then looked to Xyoz to see if she was serious. He cleared his throat and looked around for a moment. "U-um... unfortunately we do not. H-however, we did receive a case of Alderaanian wine, if that would please you?" He offered very politely with as calm a voice as he could muster.

Shai was fighting every fiber in her body not to burst out laughing. "That will do fine, thank you. As for a meal, I'd like the Bantha fillet mignon." She looked at Xyoz, waiting for him to order and the waiter to disappear before she buckled over into a suppressed, snickering laugh.

Xyoz Maji Xyoz Maji

Well that was rare. Xyoz didn't even bother with the menu as he just watched her instead. With the same, as ever, grin plastered on his face. "Guess we can still blush after all, eh?" He returned the nudge with his own. Then finally looked down to the menu. Oh hey, words he actually understo- No. Nope. After the drinks he started to just get confused on what the hell this other stuff was. Steak, yes.

But that was just the header. The actual meals listed below? He squinted as he tried to sound out the words. Mig non? The fuck was a mig no- Eh? He peered up towards the waiter, then to Shai. And just laughed. "And the chance you've got the flesh of a virgin lightly seared?"

The waiter laughed too. Nervously. Fearfully. Xyoz just snorted before nodding towards Shai's direction. "Mig non sounds good. I'll take that." With their orders he just fled as quick as he could, nervous as can be. to his credit he tried to at least look calm. Couldn't hide how fast his heart was beating to them, though.

"What's a mig non?"

Shai Maji Shai Maji

The moment he asked his question, the snickering Shistavanen buckled over as she fought to contain her laugh. But the occasional heave ripped through the air as tears formed in her eyes. She clutched at her stomach as she lightly bumped her head against the table, unable to relax. After a few moments, she finally managed to compose herself, though the occasional snicker still got through.

"Sorry, sorry, that just... hehe... that just got me good" She muttered, wiping at her eyes. "It's a super soft piece of meat. Like... really soft. But it's also super expensive, the cut for it is really small, even on a Bantha." She explained, her stupid grin not leaving her face for even a moment. "Though I gotta teach you how to pronounce these names. Hot damn, have you never eaten a chef in all this time?" She teased with a snicker as she sat forward.

But as she gazed lovingly into his eyes, something else caught her attention. A table on the other side of the room, with a group of finely dressed men. Every now and then they glanced at her and Xyoz, before talking among themselves. The happy expression faded as she watched them for a moment, using Xyoz as cover. The men eventually stood up and left when they noticed Shai staring at them, passing a very confused waitress in a hurry. She continued to watch them, making sure they weren't going near their speeder. Luckily they got into another one and left.

Shai took a breath as she looked back at Xyoz. "Some guys were starin' at us. They're gone now, though." She reached over snd took his hand. "Would've gotten that blood of vanquished foes real quick if they came over here." She snickered again as she sat back. Eventually their food arrived and Shai watched with a mixture of curiosity and amusement as Xyoz took his first bites. "How is it?" She asked, popping a fried potato piece in her mouth.

Xyoz Maji Xyoz Maji

Xyoz saw them too. His eyes stayed narrowed, even as they entered their speeder and left. Cold, calculating. Business rivals? No, no one knew he'd be here. He didn't until Shai brought him here. And they took her speeder, not his own. No way they'd be here for him. Which only made him angrier. If they were watching the table, they were watching her. Why?

That's the answer he wanted.

"I'll have my guys deal with them."

He nodded once before turning his gaze to the food. And blinked. Right, they were eating. He took a bite, chewed. Then laughed as the steak practically dissolved in his mouth. "Wha- Since when could meat do that! I've eaten all kinds of meat but it's never just melted on the tongue. The fuuuuuck that's so damn trippy!"

Shai Maji Shai Maji

Shai waved off his concern with a smile. "Hey, don't worry about it. Come on, if they recognised us for some reason, they obviously know who we are. Nobody will be stupid enough to try and pull a fast one on us." She reassured him. Any concerns disappeared entirely when their food arrived.

Shai watched as Xyoz took a bite, a grin forming at his reaction. "Told ya. Super soft. I always try to get a piece or two when I got the creds." She quipped, finally taking a bite of her own. A hum of pure delight escaped her. "Ah, sorry babe. Afraid I'm gonna have to ditch you for some private time with this." She joked before taking another bite.

The meal was gone in far too quick a time. But Shai was satisfied. She took a long sip of her wine as she leaned back against her seat for a moment. "Oh man, worth every credit." She muttered.

She was almost sad to leave the restaurant when the time came, though it quickly passed as they got back into the speeder. Now it was time for things to get fun. "Heard of this club that's not too far from here. Few levels down. Apparently it's a hell of an experience." She commented as she rested a hand on his thigh. Though the second she looked away proved costly. An odd 'thump' echoed through the speeder. Shai blinked as she looked around the cabin. Two more thumps sounded off. "What is th-"

A blaster bolt tore through the rear window, passing between their heads and grazing the side of her muzzle before it blasted through the windshield. A searing burn stretched across the length of her face, earning a snarl as Shai banked left with the speeder. "Karkin' hell!"

The speeder behind them stayed on them, the people inside shooting wildly at them with every available moment.

"Take the controls" She barked as she slid into the backseat. A few moments later, Shai leaned out the back window with pistols in hand, shooting back at the pursuers. "Just keep swerving, shake 'em off!" She called out to him between shots.

No body should be stupid enough to pull a fast one. People were, though. Especially kids.

God he hated kids.

But food. Yeah. Food. There was nothing better than a soft piece of meat to chew down on. He hummed his delight as he munched away, snickering between bites. "Oh don't worry, I'll be busy with my own." He flashed a wink. But dinner was done. Then came clubbing. That he actually enjoyed, now that he knew what it was. He was all grins as he plopped down in the speeder, still snickering as he thought back to that poor waiter.

At least he got a good tip.

He blinked. Half of him was just relaxing. The other?

Well the other got shot. Pain lurched through his chest as he took a couple shots, earing a surprised gasp of needless air. Then an annoyed grumble as they already started to close up. He didn't hesitate to take the controls. Thankfully, he was good at swerving. Why? Well, he still hadn't figured out how exactly to drive so it was more him jerking the controls around while he tried not to crash them.

"Okay! They're fuckin' dinner now! Is it the fucks from before or what!?"

Shai Maji Shai Maji

The moment Xyoz took control of the speeder, they became a much harder target to hit... and Shai had to focus a lot harder on returning fire at the pursuing speeder. At least it was better than dealing with several holes in her body. Golden bolts zoomed towards the pursuing speeder, only for crimson bolts to fly right back at them. "Looks like it! I'll try to ground 'em!" She called back to Xyoz.

A bolt smashed into her stomach, almost causing her to topple over and fall out of the speeder. Luckily a hard swerve from Xyoz hurled her back into the speeder "Kriffers got me almost losing my damn pistols over here." She grumbled as she checked the wound. Before leaning back out again, she snuck a kiss onto Xyoz's cheek. "Enjoying the view?" She joked as she pointed to the side view camera screen. Leaning back out, she gave Xyoz the full cinematic view as she fired back at their pursuers once again.

A few hits landed perfectly into their engine bay, causing smoke to pour from the speeder, though a bad hit along the side of their own had it sputtering as well. Shai felt a lot lighter as the speeder began to lose altitude towards a nearby park on the higher levels. Curiously enough, the enemy speeder stuck to the same route with blaster bolts continuing to smash into Xyoz's brand new speeder. "I wanna know who the kriff is comin' after us. Try and make us look alive when we hit the dirt, please?" She spoke as she slipped back into the speeder and leaned over his shoulder, watching the ground closing in. A nice couple of duracrete fountains and statues dotted the area ahead of them.

Xyoz Maji Xyoz Maji

"I mean, yeah! But don't get too shot up, alright?"

He just about snorted at it all. How could he not? There was nothing like getting shot at for a date, huh? The explosion had him grin that much wider. Up until their own speeder started to go down. He grumbled in annoyance as he watched the ground starting to rush their way. Ground building, street. Eh, Coruscant was too cluttered for his own liking anyway.

"Hope you got some anima saved up, love." He cast her a sidelong glance. Offered one last little flash of his toothy grin before the world went dark on impact.

Xyoz woke up mere moments later, grumbling in the wreckage of the ship. He half dragged himself out of what had been quite the luxury speeder. Or tried. Missing an arm certainly put a damper on it. His gaze shifted to some stranger watching on in horror. Oh boy. He barked out what should've been a laugh, though it sounded a bit too horse to come across. At first. His undying body did what it always did.

Knitted itself back together. A freshly formed hand helped drag him out as he rolled to his back. Stared up for a moment.

"Shai? Ya good?"

Shai Maji Shai Maji

Shai glanced at Xyoz with a perplexed look for a moment as the ground drew closer. "Got enough wha-" She didn't get to finish her sentence as the speeder crashed along the ground and skidded through numerous obstacles along the way. The world went black for the Wardog as her body was mutilated by the crash.

Their pursuers managed to touch down far more gracefully and exited their smoking speeder with blasters at the ready. "You two, go check the harpy. We'll check the boss." One of them ordered as he made his way over to Xyoz in the speeder. They immediately stepped back as he crawled out of the speeder, a laugh escaping one of them. "Can you believe this? Schutta's still alive!" He remarked as he kept his sights on Xyoz.

A few meters away from the wreckage, Shai laid motionless on the ground with glazed eyes staring out into nothing. Her body was broken and mangled, bones stuck through her skin and one of her legs was almost entirely separated. One of the gangsters checked her and gave a kick to make sure she was dead. "This one's dead!"

The moment the words left his mouth, Shai's eyes snapped up at him and a hand shot out, clamping down around his leg to snap the bones within like a twig. He crashed to the ground with an agonizing scream, but that was soon cut out as Shai grabbed hold of him and pulled him closer. Her teeth sunk into his throat as she gulped and sucked every last drop of blood from the squirming man beneath her.

Blaster shots rang out and bolt after bolt smashed into her, thiugh sje did not budge. Her body knitted together and the wounds healed as they formed. Finally she lunged at the corpse's companion and drained him as well, going so far as to bite and swallow entire chunks out of him. Finally she faced the remainder of the group, all looking horrified as both Shistavanen didn't even budge from the shots hurled into them.

Her dress was utterly ruined, but that mattered little as Shai slowly walked towards them. "Keep one alive, babe." She snarled, then moved to take on the rest.

Dead?

Xyoz had been pretty still at this point, letting his body fix itself while he was under gun point. His gaze shifted. Lingering on Shai.

Dead.

She wasn't like him. He knew that much. There were things he could survive she couldn't dream of. The crash shouldn't of been something she couldn't survive though, right? But there she was. Dead.

The man pointing his gun at Xyoz's head crumpled. Like paper. Flesh, bone, it cracked and twisted as an unseen hand just turned what was a person into little more than a glob of flesh. Whatever blood he would've leaked drained away. Into the Shistavanen crime lord who stood. Rage was all he felt. Overwhelming rage. Rage that quickly subsided at a rush of movement behind him.

Relief replaced rage.

"You had me worried, y'know."

Fresh blood coursing through his body, he waved his hand. The air itself twisted, cutting down the next in a clean line right up the middle.

One alive. Barely. They didn't kill Shai, but they still hurt her. Ruined the date night. Unkillable to their weapons he ripped them apart. Even the one alive. Missing an arm and a leg. That he laughed at. Xyoz crouched down in front of the whimpering survivor of the massacre, blood dripping from his hands and maw alike. He tossed aside the arm he'd just taken, flashing a grin.

"Now you can say it cost you an arm and a leg to fuck with me, can't ya?"

He just learned that one, and was looking pretty proud of himself as he glanced towards Shai.

"So, questions?"
