Scruffy Lookin’ Nerfherder
Eyes the pallor of volcanic flame stared at the bound figures before him. The room was poorly lit, save for a garish light directed upon the sweating individuals of all shapes, sexes and sizes who were chained to a series of poles. Dûvain's gaze never wavered from their terrified looks, drinking in the pure fear that leaked from their confusion and mmm a sense of innocence. His red stare tracked every bead of sweat, every widened eye, until at last he turned away to regard a holocamera that floated in the air.
Dûvain rarely sought a high profile, yet the actions of the Forceless Future Society had left him vexed. Sorely vexed. Their pathetic quibbling and atrocities were utterly delicious, but they did it in response to petty, absurdist rationalism. They wished to demonize Force Users? Well, Dûvain would give them a demon.
"Forceless Future Society," he spoke in reverberating tones that thrummed with deep power. The holocamera would pick up on everything and transmit the video throughout the holonet. "Your actions have intrigued me. Brash and cruel beyond measure, the actions of lesser beings, who desperately struggle against evolution. You are obsolete. Yet your futile struggles to cling to existence prove some measure of amusement."
Dûvain held up a clawed hand, coalescing a sphere of raw energy that crackled with aphotic power. "I found a bounty for your capture, yet I find such routine acts utterly banal. Capturing or executing you would not cause the pain I seek. So I found some of your lesser underlings, peons. Expendables. I ripped the information from their minds. With the Force, of course. Ah, and now... now you can see them, strapped to those poles. And beside them? Those are their families."
The Hybrid hurled the sphere of energy toward one of the poles and the chains simply disintegrated from the blast, freeing several of the alleged peons. Dûvain turned back to the camera.
"Fear not, I have set them free. In body. But in mind they are still mine.'
The bodies of the FFS agents twisted and wrenched awfully, their faces contorting as they stalked toward their families.
"The Force allows me to control their minds. Shall we watch what I can do with it."
And with calculated cruelty Dûvain urged the beings to begin murdering their own family. With their bare hands.
"Why?! WHY?!" Screamed a woman in helpless terror.
Dûvain regarded her with a frank stare. "Because, I want to see what happens next."
It took several minutes, but at last they were all dead. Dûvain had had the agents kill themselves at the end of it. They'd almost looked grateful. The holocamera shut off and Dûvain destroyed it as well in a blast of energy. Then the very air warped, as though heated, and Dûvain simply disappeared.
