PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Reflex Sight: TruSights are designed to be close-quarters sights, using a simple reticle that is designed for the user to easily and quickly target a threat. All other sensors are fed or overlaid into this very simple-looking display. A photoreducing sensor filters sudden bright lights (from either lights, explosions, flash-bang grenades, etc), allowing the user to constantly use the reflex reticle regardless of the ambient light around them.
  • Sonic Sensing: TruSights have some sonic scope components built into them to provide the user with better ability to see through some cover and concealment, typically foliage and common barriers. It also provides another way for TruSight to provide its user with another means of "seeing" in the dark or through unusual visual phenomena. The sonic sensors on the TruSight are not powerful or accurate enough to penetrate through true personal cloaking devices.
  • Ultraviolet Sensing: TruSights can provide an ultraviolet Sensor overlay into the sight, making it easier for users to see blood trails, better detect explosives, and see through camouflage/disguises that may work well in most humanoids sight spectrum, but weren't designed to be camouflaged in this spectrum.
  • Thermal Vision Sensing: TruSights have thermal imager scanner built into them, allowing the user to see heat signatures through the reticle. This is most useful in picking out targets in the darkness of night, but it can sometimes also reveal targets hiding behind different types of cover. This can be toggled on and off by a button on the side of the scope.
STRENGTHS
  • Compact: TruSights are fairly compact, taking up little space on rifles and carbines and are just small enough to be installed on some pistols.
  • Multi-view Spectrum: Like other multi-optic sights, TruSights provide a wealth of sensor data in different spectrums to the user in a package optimized for quick reflex shooting.
WEAKNESSES
  • No Magnification: TruSights do not provide any sort of magnification, making this best used at short ranges.
  • Power Reliant: TruSights need power to provide any sort of benefit. If the device runs out of power or is hit by an EMP or Ion weapon, it becomes useless.
DESCRIPTION
After starting up their long range scope line, the Zolta-series, Lucerne Personal Defense turned their attention to creating the exact opposite: a close-quarters optic. Close quarters-focused optics have increasingly become popular over the years, enabling quick reflex shooting without the user having to worry about tediously lining up physical sights in dynamic combat situations. LPD decided their's would be an example of a multi-optic sight, which uses several sensors to form a composite view to provide the user with the ability to better see through environmental obstacles such as darkness, weather phenomena like fog, and even some physical barriers such as foliage and thin walls. The resulting TruSight managed to meet all of these basic advantages of multi-optic sight and managed a few improvements more unique to their sight. Ultraviolet sensing lays at the heart of many of these, with the TruSight better able to see chemical traces on the surfaces, whether it's a blood trail or chemical residue from preparing explosives. Similarly, many basic camouflage products on the market aren't designed with being seen in the ultraviolet spectrum, which makes spotting more hidden enemies and equipment easier than with the plain eye alone.

TruSight series scopes come a variety of sizes and shapes that are dependent aesthetic choices, the type of power source the scope is using, and their preference for weight versus scope protection. Regardless of these differences, most TruSights are almost identical in practical use - finding great popularity with shooters who find themselves quickly detecting and identifying threats at short range, such as soldiers and security personnel.
