Faction Truth Shall Break Every Chain (Rimward Trade League)

TRANTOR
OUTER RIM INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS NETWORK
OPERATION DARKLIGHT
HUNTSMEN TEAM AUREBESH

Cryx leaned over the edge of the building and cupped his hands around his eyes. Cold raindrops soaked through the infiltration suit as he pulled the helmet on over his head, adjusting the visors to get a better view. Three kilometers away, the massive cityscape towers shone with spotlights that cut through the fog and haze that wreathed the world. Split between Alderaan, Kuat, and Kattada, Trantor was the crossroads of the Core.

The Galactic Alliance. The Silver Jedi Concord. The New Imperial Order. Three superpowers touch just outside the system and contested for supremacy. And at the heart, in that tower complex, the rich and the powerful sat with their fingers in every pie, growing rich from every arms shipment, leveraging money as their weapons, issuing orders over comms, pushing buttons, and hundreds of light-years away, the people of the Outer Rim suffered.

It seethed in his stomach, keeping him warm even as the cold, oily water seeped into the Huntsmen armor. The suit absorbed what little light reached the small corner where he had assembled the teams, and he glowered at the buildings. The spotlights swept across the exterior of the buildings, and he could just make out the dark shapes of the surveillance droids.

This would not be easy. One deep breath to clear his mind and he turned back to the teams. Huntsmen of ORION. Volunteers. A motley bunch, but nothing truly official. After all, ORION fell with ORC. At least, that was the story. They had three goals for this op. Well, four if one counted not getting caught by Alliance authorities. Not that he wasn't against tangling with the SIA if need be, but they were ostensibly on the same side.

Goal one was to infiltrate the corporate headquarters of the New Horizon Shipping Combine and slice into its central communications and encryption networks, then leave without getting caught. If possible, get access to their financial records, but that was a secondary objective. The next objective was to steal the access codes to their encrypted vault and then the vault itself. They didn't know what was in there, but it was blocked off on all the public records they could find on the construction. The third goal was to identify who was running the entire operation. New Horizons Shipping Combine was a conglomerate of a multitude of companies, all purchased through a wide variety of shell corporations and funds.

Who pulled the strings? Who was driving the Lux Astra Corporate Authority? There was nothing public about it. Nothing but anonymity, press releases, and a labyrinth of referral to other departments. The head of their opposition was... unknown. They were going to need it if they had any chance of pushing a peaceful resolution through.

"You're all the best at what you do and you know what you do best," Cryx said to them all. "We don't know the specifics of what we're going up against yet, but expect the best security and surveillance droids, professional security. Stay cautious. Stay calm. In and out. Let's not get detected and let's not start any firefights. Last thing we need to do is start a new war here between the Concord, Imps, and Alliance."

That brought a pause for a moment. It could be helpful to do that, but that wasn't their goal. "let's be sure not to start a war like that. We don't need a third war to get caught up in."
