Love is a powerful emotion. It can make a person’s heart soar amongst the clouds, and feel invincible. Or, it has the power to bring down an Empire in the vain pursuit of earthly passions. Thus, seeking to encapsulate and manifest such power in a physical form, the Thyrsian Artisans of the TwiSun Forgeworks set to work. They based the design of their newest weapon on a stylish variant of a mass-produced heavy blaster pistol but altered the overall aesthetic to fit their desired intent. This meant that the design was broken down into its component parts, and great care was taken when replacements and alterations were made. All of that effort was spent towards machining perfection. Every component was held to the highest scrutiny and remade if it didn’t meet the strict design specifications. The lovingly made weapon had to be perfect in every way, including the overall weight and balance, which meant that there couldn’t be any errors during its artisanal production.
With the basis of the Pistol formed, the Artisans began crafting its internal components. They hand-crafted the various items the Pistol needed for operation and streamlined the process by hand-calibrating every integrated element. As one can imagine, this made the entire production process costly, but it would doubtlessly be worth it in the end. However, the only snag that the Artisan’s encountered was settling on what type of Pistol their newest creation would become. Many Star Systems started to ban the production and distribution of Disruptor-based weaponry, which meant that many of their would-be customers might be apprehended simply for carrying the holstered weapon. Others believed they should make the Pistol a stylized version of the standard Blaster. Ultimately, the Artisan’s settled on the unstable nature of Particle Beam technology, which was a recent favourite of many Interstellar Governments and their Armed Forces.
Through altering the ratio of Tibanna Gas and Energy, drawn from a Power Cell, the weapon would produce a high-powered and unstable particle bolt that would explode on contact with another, or opposing surface. This made for the perfect weapon to combat the rise of Retribution and Xythan shielding, or even the enigmatic properties of a Force Wielder’s Lightsabre. As the magnetic sheathe instantly degraded when the bolt strikes, the unstable and superheated plasmatic energy within would burst outwards - causing the bolt’s damage to spread across its target. This meant that the plasmatic energy, once contained, would likely reach the Force Wielder behind their guarded stance, and if they weren’t adorned in armour? It was likely they’d experience the (un)tender embrace of the fire that danced across the surface of the Stars bathing their personage.
After the decision was made, there was something else that needed to be added. Essentially, they required an artisanal capstone to achieve their desires of perfection, and the physical manifestation of deep affection between two people, or an object. Such a capstone was rendered into a physical representation of a lover, which was acid-etched into a textured Aurodium panel affixed to the Pistol’s grip. Naturally, as everyone’s lover was different, this panel would remain blank until the weapon was purchased. Then, as their would-be customer waited, the Thyrsian Artisan’s would sculpt and etch a picture of their lover onto their weapon, giving them a precious reminder of their beloved whilst they slew all that stood before them.
