The success of the original Lucrehulk Class LH-3210 Frighter, designed and constructed by Hoersh-Kessel Drive Inc., inspired many variants both to be used in civilian and military operations. The ship first earned it's fame after the Trade Federation, with assistance from the Techno Union, began retrofitting these large cargo ships into battleships during the early days of the Clone Wars. Since those days, the ship has been repeatedly remade, remodeled and reintroduced over the years. However, the "Gunray" Class Super Battlecarrier, designed to be a successor to the Battleship variant, does not follow this trait.
Indeed, the new warship was designed based off the same outer design parameters, however there are major differences which set these two behemoths apart. The first of which, is the fact that this new warship is much larger than the Lucrehulk, it's total length at five-thousand meters, far surpassing it's older cousin. The second, however isn't as apparent. This major difference between the two shis comes in the form of advanced internal and external technology.
The first of these technologies, are the Xythan and Moleleuer Shield Systems incorporated onto the massive starship. The second, is a form of holographic interface which allows the warships bridge crew experience firsthand the battle unfolding before them in much greater quality and display than any other system the Techno Union has at it's dispoal.
In the end, the "Gunary" Class Super Battlecarrier is a warship based off the success of the old while incorporating modern technology which improves the overall design.
