Twi'lek and the Anzati

Tormax stood in the training room. He carried his own amphistaff with him, that he was gifted from the Yuuzhan Vong. From the High Prophet Dredge. Though he had yet to acquire the skill or the willpower to force the amphistaff to change it's shape. He needed help in that, and there was one Sith Master who he figured could help him do such a thing.

A red twi'lek Sith Lord, and he could only hope that she did actually arrive at the training room to teach him. He also hoped he could find out more about her, and learn more than just how to use an amphistaff from her.

He was correct in assuming that the Twi'lek Sith had the knowledge he craved. She had worked her entire life to have knowledge that far surpassed the chronological age she appeared. But knowledge always came at a price, she'd learned that long ago.

Touching the Sith amulet that seemed to emulate and glow off of the hue of the flawless skin of her neck, Incendia took a deep breath and let the dark power fill her and amplify her own darkness just for a moment before proceeding into the training room.

Since the war, she'd given up her legions and devotions to the Council and focused more inwardly on her own potential and power. That included taking on apprentices. But something about this request had stuck with her and made her consider the initial meeting. Was it the Vong heritage the youngling seemed to claim on some level? Maybe it was his desire to understand their weaponry... Her weaponry. She was a reincarnated Goddess, Yun-Harla, afterall. If he knew nothing about the culture he was attempting to master the weapons of, now would be a good time to start asking questions.

Swiftly, the hooded figure made her way into the training room and approached the man before her.

"You are the soul who sent for me?"

Her words seemed to hiss in the air, inviting and intoxicating to the ear. Inviting the listener to give in to their inner most desire and let down every guard they had.

"The weapon you have... Where did you get it, child?"

Her piercing yellow eyes moved from his amphistaff to meet his own eyes. To most men, the Twi'Lek's beauty was incomparable to anything they had ever seen. Although angelic looking, the woman before him was lethal and had left behind a trail of blood and torment the likes he could never imagine.

He watched as the beautiful lethan walked into the training room. He watched as she moved, watched her figure, watched her face most of all. He was intrigued. Another Sith had come by an amphistaff, and she was a Sith Master. All he needed to do was have her teach him to change the amphistaff's form.

"I am the one who requested your presence, Master." He said with a slight bow. Before he started to continue with: "From the Yuuzhan Vong upon Belgaroth." He said with a slight nod as well. The High Prophet Dredge had gifted it to him.

Incendia watched the man with a keen eye as he spoke. He did not use the common phrase of Vong, which would have been highly insulting to their heritage. She wondered how much he knew of the culture. After all, a Yuuzhan Vong wouldn't simply just gift a sentient being something as meaningful as their own weapon. To them, sentients were infidels unworthy of the ground they spat upon.

"Tell me more. What do you know of the weapon you possess?"

Curling her fingers, she allowed her eyes to wander once again to the weapon beside him. Nodding as if asking permission, she approached the weapon with the intention of inspecting it's authenticity.

"Did you receive it as a spore?"

The answer to that question determined the fate of both the remainder of their time together as well as the help she could provide him with.

He tilted his head to the side. "Certainly." After he had spoken, he thought back to what seemed an age ago upon the planet of Belgaroth. He was given a full grown amphistaff in fact, but instead he decided that it would be better if he had an amphistaff as soon as it fell from the polyps. There had been quite a few upon the planet of Belgaroth, and this amphistaff he held was still growing.

Reaching out her hand, Koga attempted to sense it with the Force. Silence. Closing her eyes, she dug deeper, trying to sense it's lack within the Force. She needed to know it wasn't some cross breed species and was legitimately authentic. Suddently, a tiny cry and fast whip sliced the side of the Sith Lady's hand, leaving behind a small trickle of crimson liquid. Smiling, she allowed her eyes to meet his once more.

"Your name, Sith. I'll need your name if I am to help you. You may refer to me as Lady Incendia, Master, my Lady, or Goddess. Nothing more, nothing less. Are we clear?"

He simply bowed his head. His grin spread across his fast, he imagined her falling to his strike. Goddess? Hilarious. "Of course Lady Incendia." He bowed to her fully when he said that. "My name is Arvis Syphex." He said with a grin still. He imagined the word 'goddess' exiting his mouth, and it jsut seemed to not form in his mind.

Believer in her destiny or not; it made no difference to the Sith Lady. She knew her destiny and why she was reincarnated. She knew her heritage and she knew her potential. She needed not prove herself to anyone or anything. She'd learned long ago how to channel her emotions to make them a useful weapon, and she'd learned even longer ago the danger that came with underestimating someone.

"Arvis Syphex." She repeated his name out loud as a sign of respect. Most masters didn't show lower ranks any form of respect, so he shouldn't have taken that lightly.

"The notice I received stated you were requesting assistance in exotic weaponry. I'm assuming this is that weapon? What is it that you wish to learn?"

Amphistaff. It was a powerfully effective weapon. She knew because she not only had one but used it. But there were many things he could need her assistance with; care, culture and philosophy, training, ... The possibilities were too endless to assume.

He wanted to know how to use the amphistaff for one thing, and one thing only. How to make it change its form. "How do I make it change it's form, my lady?" He said, quite respectfully. There would come a day when he would need it to change it's form, and it wouldn't for he didn't know how to use it properly...yet.

Koga stared at the Sith for a brief moment, pondering to herself.

"You and your weapon are bound. That means that it is only loyal to you and will serve you faithfully... but in order to do so, it must trust you. You must become comfortable with it as you would with any weapon you are trying to wield."

Moving her hand, the holographic room around them began to change form.

"In order to accomplish your goal you must understand the partner you have. You must be able to trust it and understand it's very nature, the way it will understand you to the point where reacting will be almost impulse."

The room changed to a swampy endless forest. Sounds of various creatures began screeching around them. The door to exit perished leaving only the forest, the Sith, and their Amphistaffs.

"Hold it in your hand. Let it curl around your arm. Feel it's presence..."

He watched as the room transformed before his eyes. He refrained from changing the setting of the training rooms. It was quite...Odd how things like that happened through technology, but he still looked around.

He spun the amphistaff in his hand for a few more moments before he loosened his hold on the amphistaff and felt the end of it curling around his shoulder slightly. He tried to expanding on the Force to try and nudge it's mind, to do what...He wasn't exactly sure at the moment.

"Don't think..."

She closed her eyes as if she were meditating.

"Close your mind to the Force... your weapon knows nothing of the Force. Relax your arm and hand.. relax your mind. Your staff will loosen when it feels your comfort."

The first step was getting him to be able to let go of the one thing he had been trained to be so in tune with. The Force was all around him. For a sentient being, it seemed almost impossible to imagine life without its existence. But for utilizing a weapon that was nonsentient, it was crucial to understand that feeling.

He was quite for a few moments. He was focusing on trying to close his mind to the Force. He didn't know what to do, and his brows furrowed together in concentration. His eyes were closed while his hand held onto the amphistaff firmly, yet in a relaxed way. His arm was loose and his brows seemed to be close together while he frowned trying to focus on letting the amphistaff know they were allies.

And then he stopped focusing on the Force and cleared his mind as much of the thoughts that were within his mind.

Koga spoke through his mind as not to tamper with the tranquility he was attempting to attain.

"Speak to your weapon. Tell it that you claim it as yours and that you will command it. Tell it that it will obey."

To any Vong, this was a very important process in ramming their weapon. It was the blending of their unity and bond.

@[member="Darth Naefas"]

In his mind he was nodding at her words, but in reality he was unmoving and the end of the amphistaff was just barely wrapped around his shoulder.

He didn't know the yuuzhan vong language, but he knew the words to speak and so he spoke them "Beast of the vines, I claim you. I am the warrior, you are the weapon. Submit to my will." He said aloud once he had achieved the clarity he needed when he was commanding the amphistaff.
