Twilight Falls

The mission given to her by her people make Ailuros a travelling cat. She had her ship all prepared and left the space of the Galactic Empire and set her course for another area of the galaxy. She had been told the Empire was in an alliance with the Sith Empire, so she decided to go there.

Of course not knowing how they would react, she didn't pick their capitol world to land on. Instead it was one of the ones close to the edge of their control sphere. She had some lessons now in the customs of the galaxy at large, but still resisted following them entirely.

Landing her ship, Ailuros gathered up her gear. Her light armor top and belt. On her belt was a distruptor gun and her sword as well as other various tools she thought she might need. Opening the back hatch and waiting for the short ramp to extend, she smelled at the air around her.

It smelled wet and of nature, but yet she was in a large city. Maybe there was a park or something nearby that brought the smell to her. Tilting her head slightly to get a better angle on the sounds, she heard the nature as well as the living city. Nodding to herself, she exited her ship, closed up the ramp and walked away.

In passing, she asked a few people questions about the planet and gathered what information she could from them. Word must have gotten out she was asking questions because before long, she suddenly felt that she was being followed or watched. Not having done anything wrong, she kept on her trek and eventually found that park she had smelled from her ship.

Knowing her own curiosity was going to get the better of her, Ailuros headed into the park to explore the nature here.

He hadn't planned to leave his ship today, a simple refuel before continuing on to other duties, but then he felt a small presence one pad over from his. He usually meditated a while he waited, it kept him from acting out in such a way as to draw unwanted attentions.

The slight luminescence of the presence, however, made him curious. And his curiosity had always been a powerful motivation. He slowly unfolded from his meditative stance and grabbed his lightsaber and his black cloak and stalked from the ship to follow whomever it was.

His body moved with the practiced grace of a person accustomed to the dance of blades. His black unblinking eyes studied the creature who's presence smelled of untapped potential. Not for the first time Odium wondered what kind of tool an uninitiated being could be fashioned into.

He followed the felinoid being slowly projecting his presence in the force. Testing for a reaction. The feline entered the large park and Odium followed relishing the damp against his too dry amphibian skin. Curiously he began to let himself draw closer. It didn't matter if the mute Nautolan was seen and he wanted reactions, emotions. What would the being do when faced with a new world of power? Only one way to find out.

Since she was a feline, Ailuros moved with the grace of a cat. Her prehensile tail flicked back and forth slightly as she walked. Canting one of her ears, she heard the footfalls of the person following her. Slowing down a little, the person following her started catching up. Eying the terrain in front of her, there were many trees. Waiting until she was close enough to one of them, Ailuros tensed up, with a burst of natural speed and hind leg strength, launched herself for the lowest limb.

Pulling herself up on it and wrapping her tail around one of the branches, she looked down at the person that had been following her. The first thing that surprised her was he wasn't human. Granted she wasn't either, but she had never met many other types of beings since leaving Trian. He walked like he knew how to dance and the cat smiled slightly.

If he was looking for a dance, she would happily give him one. The cat was no coward and if he were to continue to walk in her direction, she would lightly jump down off the limb to land in front of him. Her claws would be out, but not in any form of attack. Just to make him aware she possessed more than the simple weapons in her belt.

If he didn't approach, then the cat would stay up the tree to see what he would do.

He watched, head cocked slightly to one side as the being bounded to a tree. His black eyes followed the feline as it wound it's tail, prehensile...interesting, around a branch for balance. He could tell from its posture it was aware of him and it was wary but unafraid. He took a step closer and reached out with the force. He let his emotions surge as he reached for the tree, the branch and began to squeeze the tough fibrous limb and break it.

It wasn't an attack per se, he simply wanted to see what the being would do. You could often learn so much about a being by how they reacted to the unexpected. would she fall, bound to another branch, attack perhaps. So many possibilities.

He stopped moving when she jumped up into the tree and for a moment or two they looked at each other. The person took a step closer and she felt the limb start to move under her. Gathering up the strength in legs again, Ailuros waited until she felt was the last moment before that limb broke to leap off of it. Judging the distance between the two of them, she could land half way easily.

Taking that leap, she didn't attempt any fancy acrobatics and landed softly on her paws unless he controlled her flight in any way. He was a Force user and she knew that now. While she had been involved with the Silver Jedi, she hadn't actually met any Jedi and instead only associated with the Rangers of the order. With the Empire, she had met with two people that could use the Force, but neither had used it on her. What she could or couldn't do with this man she didn't know.

That lack of knowledge didn't stop her from standing up and looking at him. There was much she could learn dancing against somebody that could use the Force. Just a chance for it happen.

Her paw went to the pommel of her sword, but she didn't draw it. Instead she waited again to see what he would now that she was on the ground again.
