Duel Two Clubbers, Fighting One Another, A Sword Divides Their Styles, and a Mountain Divides them Apart | Alina Tremiru

Coming from his room in the Academy, Dral began to make his way through the corridors that made up the building he was in. He knew where he is going, he had gone by it a few times in the time that he had been here, but now he went with a purpose. His feet ever so soft light as it hit the ground, making not a single noise as he made his way through to his destination.

Arriving at the doorway, he had changed much since the last time they had properly talked, he had gotten rid of his guise of being some old. foolish, weak man to what he truly was, a strong and proud sith, that wanted to grow in power and to become one of the strongest sith the galaxy had seen. Dral's mind flashing towards the day that the pair had originally met with some sort of fondness before he came back to reality.

He made a rap on the door with his knuckles, waiting for a response from the occupant inside, hoping that she would be in, even at this late hour.

Sleep wasn't something Alina got easily, but when she did, she was out. Well, as out as a Sith in hostile territory could get while still being aware enough to wake at the slightest sound. It was crazy how efficient her sleep had gotten because of that. She was sprawled out on her bed, snoring happily at some dream she was having but wouldn't remember. Then the knock.

She shot up, half asleep but alert enough to look around her room for an intruder. None, so.. Her yellow eyes glanced to the door. Who was coming by during her sleep time? An annoyed grumble was the only sound she made as she made her way to the door, growing more alert with each step. And more pissed. She liked to sleep when she could.

Her annoyance turned to literal strength as she yanked open the door. Right off it's hinges. She stared at it for a moment, grumbled to herself as she set it down, then finally looked to Darth Arkanus Darth Arkanus with a heavily soured expression. There was nothing she had on that even remotely seemed to be Sith. Loose pale blue short shorts and a Rockin' Rancor tshirt. No lightsaber, no amulet. Just a very peeved half awake Sangnir in her sleep clothes.

"What."

maulbanner.png
Hearing the footsteps from the door, he waited for Alina to open it. Hearing the sounds stop he opened his mouth to begin the semi-unprepared question that he had for the woman, that is before the door came flying from its hinges as Dral looked upon the crazed form of the Sangnir that he had woken up.

Oh balls what have I just done. "Ah Alina, it so glad to see you so grandiose at this hour of the night, I had expected you to look so less formal."

He sent the jab out, hoping to calm her down, or if not, start the training he had planned preemptively, either or it could only work for his favor. Alina had changed much since the time where they had met at the Market, becoming more powerful, yet leaving some of that young woman behind. Dral felt some sort of loss, but that was the will of the force, and she had grown to be an acolyte deserving of the fear that she demanded.

Even since the first meeting that the two had, he had wished that they would remain, in touch at the latest, but they had gone their separate ways, meeting every so often to jab, or train with one another, the main reason he was there now.

370d9lz.png

Sourness turned to unamusement at the jab, though she at least understood where it came from. With the door set aside she leaned in the doorway, staring right up at Darth Arkanus Darth Arkanus . "Some people like to sleep. Those robes are annoying enough in the day." She dismissed the issue with a roll of her eyes. She probably would of slugged just about anyone else for waking her up so late, but the Zabrak had proven to be.. Useful. He'd taught her a very useful trick to keep her mind her own, one that's only made it easier for her to focus her Matukai. What exactly she considered him was still an unknown. She had allies, but they hadn't worked together enough for her to consider him such.

"So, what's up? Only reason I've ever bothered to wake up this late is booty calls, and you're a bit too old for my taste. Building on fire?"

maulbanner.png
WIth a scoff the man waves aside the woman's comment, he wasn't that old, and he was in peak condition for the time he had spent withering away, he was the envy of any mortal man. Even for the Sith Dral would be considered a pretty fit man. He took a lot of time to train and learn the lightsaber forms, which allowed for his physique to be as such.

"Well I was wondering if you wanted to spar against me, I've made a new saber and I wanted to see how it fairs against a worthy opponent, and you are one of the worthiest acolytes here."

Dral had no fear in lathering someone up if that helped him get what he wanted out of the situation. A sith needed more than pure strength to get through the ranks of the sith, and being a suck-up every once and a while had its perks.

370d9lz.png

The young woman could only snicker at his scoff. At least she wasn't glaring at him anymore, but really? A midnight duel? Or was it morning? Alina was never the best with her sleep schedule. "Mm. I've had some new gear made too, so it'd be nice to try it out." She trailed off, glancing around her room for at least one of them. She opted for the polearm, walking back in her room to snatch it up. She wasn't going to get back to sleep any time soon, so why not fight?

Now armed she stepped past Darth Arkanus Darth Arkanus , heading right for the closest training room.
"C'mon then. Let's get this goin."

maulbanner.png
With a subtle nod he made his way with Alina to the closest sparring room. He remembered the first time that they had "sparred" it had been more of him beating her up with a stick but it was less of a sparring lesson and more of a teaching lesson about the ability of the mind.

Makign their way into the room, Dral made his way towards the sparring circle, and he turned and faced his opponent, his crimson blade igniting as he spun it around as he looked into the eyes of Alina. This more akin to the fight they had with the other acolytes under Darth Maliphant, where they were actually sparring one on one.

"Don't go easy on an old man now, would you?"

370d9lz.png

"I don't do easy." She twirled the pike in her hand before igniting the blade. Red energy hummed in the air as she lowered herself into a stance. Feet spread, front foot pointed towards Darth Arkanus Darth Arkanus , back perpendicular. She was low to the ground, saber pointed for her opponent. Unlike before, she had more of a stance. A style. Many things had changed. Not just since their first encounter, but even after the lesson with Maliphant she'd continued to improve and empower herself.

"Just don't fall behind." She wasn't just talking about in the duel, either. She took the initiative, bursting forward in a blur to thrust the blade for his center mass. A simple, but strong opener, making use of her unnatural might and the reach of her weapon.

maulbanner.png
His eyes watched the woman in front of him, she had changed much since the young naive girl that he had met not so long ago, that whisp of a woman a mere memory to what she had become since then, less human then she was, but she had definitely grown in strength, he could feel it, see it, and he had witnessed the wraith that she could unleash if she had wanted too.

"I refuse to fall behind ever again."

Dral said twirling Blackstar in his hand he watched Alina moved, feeling the energy rise in his body as he took a deep breath, his eyes narrowing, with a burst of speed he made his way towards the woman as he moved towards her in a blink of an eye, doing a strong overhead slash towards her left shoulder. As if appearing out of nowhere.

370d9lz.png

Except he didn't appear from out of no where. Darth Arkanus Darth Arkanus would be vastly mistaken to assume he was faster than the young Sith. Her eyes never left him. Him coming forward only made it easier for her thrust. She paused her charge, instead using the reach of her weapon to make him choose. Continue forward and be impaled before he even reached her, or stop. A wide grin formed on Alina's face none the less. It'd be good to fight someone who could match her speed.

maulbanner.png
Dral's eyes noticed the income blade, and spun out of the way mid charge, So she was quick too, good, more fun for him. Dral thought as he kicked out with his foot sending a wave of force against Alina, as he charged back in, they both had some sabers with a long reach, but as hers was a dedicated pike it had the edge in this occasion.

With the pike Alina had gone for reach, whilst with the long-hilted saber Dral wielded it favored medium-range, allowing for versatility in the opponents he faced. Dral slashed towards Alina with his saber attempting to take advantage of the wave of force he had pressed against her.

370d9lz.png

Before, the kick had caught her off guard. But reusing tricks against her? That was a quick way to leave himself open. Alina flicked her blade around, easily controlling the longer hilted weapon. It was easy to control a polearm like this when there was still room around, at any range. Choke up on the grip, and it becomes a short ranged weapon with the benefit of leverage. But that wasn't the true strength of her weapon. The red blade cut through the air, but did more than that.

It cut through the Force. Splitting the wave to send it around her instead of at her. Then shut off the blade. The Songsteel shaft was light, and more importantly, lightsaber resistant. Not completely, but only prolonged contact with the heated weapon would cut through it. The whole pike was her weapon as she spun, using the middle of the shaft to catch his blade before spinning it to send the red blade away.

She hopped back, letting the saber end reignite with a rather coy expression. "Come on now. They say an old dog can't learn new tricks, you wanna prove that right?"

maulbanner.png
Dral stood his ground and watched the woman, his feet planted into the ring they were in. He took a deep breath as he looked at the woman, his eyes shifting around as he thought of his next steps, she had grown to be an admirable duelist, this he could definitely see. His combination of force and strikes would not work against an opponent of her caliber.

Quickly reaching out with the force he grabbed some training sabers from inside the room and threw them at Alina, hoping to force her attention on deflecting the incoming objects as he jumped high into the air, landing behind Alina and striking towards her with his long-hilted lightsaber.

370d9lz.png

Her eyes glanced to the incoming weapons. So he did have some tricks still. She knew it was a distraction, but there was little she could do about it. She brought her staff around, ripping it through the training weapon to bat it aside. A wide, if slightly nervous, smile formed as her eyes found Darth Arkanus Darth Arkanus behind her. The most she could do was twist and bend her body to get out of the way of the burning blade and try to batter him with the staff of her own.

But there was no power really behind it. She was off her footing now, trying to backpedal and make some room between the two.

maulbanner.png
Dral looked at Alina as he lifted her off her feet with the force and attempted to throw her to the ground, he had been practicing his abilities when it came to telekinesis, having recently learned the skill of Force rend with Arcturus Dinn Arcturus Dinn . Learning how much a fight of two skilled duelists sometimes comes down to someone's abilities in the force than that with the blade.
"You have learned much since our first meeting, if I had known you before I would proud of the progress you have made, but you still have more to learn."
Dral's yellow eyes pierced into Alina as he bared his blackened teeth at her with a smile, he liked a good fight, and Alina was making him use his surroundings, something he would not do to one that he felt was beneath his powers.

370d9lz.png

Darth Arkanus Darth Arkanus wasn't the only one to practice their abilities. As soon as she felt herself being thrown back she reached out, cutting the Force with her own power. She used what had thrown her back to flip back, getting that room between them once again as she wanted. She smiled wider, idly shifting her weight from foot to foot while he spoke. Which only ended with her rolling her eyes.

"Stop talking like a master. You're just another Acolyte. But there's more you haven't seen." Then she was gone. Another quick blur of movement to get her close to the Zabrak. Her grip choked up on her pike so she could swing it down with all her might. There was something different this time though. Alina could feel the Anima flowing through the Zabrak. Flowing around them. The power that gave life through the Force. It was the only part she could feel, and only because of her change.

Now, she learned how to manipulate it. This close she could reach out and touch the flow, and she certainly tried. Her grin returned, fanged and wide as she tried to literally pull the life right out of Dral. To pull his connection right out. She fully embraced this vamparism she had, and now turned it to the Force itself.

maulbanner.png
Looking at the woman as she sprinted towards him, watching at lightening speed, then time seemed to slow down to a crawl, his eyes watched as Alina drove down with her saber towards him, but he could also feel Alina attempting to drain the force from him. His eyes widen for a moment his eyes looking at hers.
Taking his saber, he blocked hers, bringing his head back he trusted it forward, with great momentum, slamming his head against hers with a loud thud as their heads collided. Whilst doing this he pushed her off of him swinging his sword in his hand with a growl.
"Stop being an imbecile, this a spar not a life or death situation."

370d9lz.png

A headbutt? Alina barely started a laugh as she slammed her head forward just as he did. Zabrak were notorious for their hard bones. Stronger than humans. But she wasn't human. Her yellow eyes stayed alight with joy as she hopped back. "What, afraid I'll devour you? Fear is unbecoming of a Sith such as you, Dral." What she did seemed to get under Darth Arkanus Darth Arkanus 's skin, which meant this was a perfect time to practice Dun Möch. Even as she spoke she continued that pull, a hand reaching out as if to forcibly drag the Force from her sparing partner.

"If this is all it takes to make the mighty such as you doubt, then I am certainly on my way."

maulbanner.png
With a growl, he ran towards her and began slashing at her with his lightsaber, enhancing himself with, the speed of his attacks moving faster and harder as he drove the woman back in front of him. The slashing of his saber cutting into the floor of the sparring pit.
"It's not fear young one, you still have much to learn when it comes to emotions."

370d9lz.png

"I really don't. Especially from a wash out who couldn't cut it and decided to live like a bum." She clicked her tongue, still grinning wide. Darth Arkanus Darth Arkanus would find he couldn't beat her back. Everywhere his blade came from it'd meet either her blade or the staff of her weapon. She was fast. She was strong. Even as a normal human she pushed the limits. As a Sangnir, she only surpassed them. And with Matukai? Alina was far above the human girl he'd tried to beat up when she was drunk.

She was enjoying this. Fighting him. Fighting someone who could keep up with her. She wanted to prove she was better. "Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised this is all you can do. Not like you bothered training in your many, many years away."
