Two Very Different Templars

Feenix - Feenix System
Planetside

I had never heard of this planet. In all of my years of traveling, in all of my time as a sellsword, I had never heard of this place. Foreign and strange to me, I kept my signature hidden. Hearing whispers from the people of Commenor that a group of "Templars" worked for a nearby faction of the Free Worlds Coalition. They were an interesting group of people, and with these devoted knights who were almost zealots in their own religion, I had to investigate. Honestly, I came of my own accord and I was likely to not speak of what I found here.

I kept myself armored in my military gear, and carried just a pistol on my thigh, and a lightsaber hidden within the folds of my armor. Otherwise, I seemed unarmed. My left hand messing and spinning around the face of a ring on my right hand as I waited for the shuttle to land. I wanted to avoid some form of detection, and stopped off at a Smugglers outpost to have me transported here. I didn't want any connections with me as I came.

Setting foot in this city, it had a mix of standard views of houses, buildings and the like, but it has a feeling more closer to home than anything else. A healthy mix of primitive life, with civilization. It reminded me of the fields back on Hora. The City was filled with speeders and technology, but outside the city walls, it was farmland and prairies as far as I eye could see. Maybe a forest here and there. The same seemed to be of this place.

The difference, was that I could see a temple a few clicks north of where I was dropped off. I knew that this temple would be the place to see if I wanted to find anything on these "Templars." My questioning of this was grown from my own troop of men known as the Vanguard who used Templar like ranks among ourselves. Our troops were growing daily, and so I wanted to learn more about these people, and maybe invest in them.

I just hoped to any gods out there, that I didn't bite off more than I could chew. I was prone to doing that.

The temple as a place she rarely visited, she usually had enough missions to keep her busy for most of her time. Though, today her time was to be spent just training and honing any and all her skills. The temple life reminded her of her previous life. She grew up in a temple very much like this one, except it was on Tython and not somewhere like this. The girl sat upon one of the ledges of the stairs and allowed her feet to hang.

It was nice to have quiet moments like this, especially since her world had been flipped upside down once more, by the same person – again. [member="Mira Rekali"] had shown her face on this side of the galaxy and Fiore really didn’t know where they stood. Silence like this, allowed her to reminisce and ponder her situation. Although things were complicated, she was still happy that Mira had returned, she felt oddly complete for once. Fiore stretched, feeling the soreness already kicking in.

Hands and arms wrapped around her slender frame and started to massage her own back for the most part. It was nice not having to train in the armor she usually wore when she was on duty. The cloth like gi was comfortable and light. A part of her wished she could just wear this, but it lacked any sort of protection in the long run. Her hair was also up, into twin brades that wrapped around her head comfortably as if it were a crown. Her pointed ears were on perfect display as she did her best to learn to be comfortable with them.

After a few moments of her light kneading on her muscles, she laid back on the stone ledge and looked up. Her guard was down and she let one of her legs hang off the edge swinging to its own little rhythm, she hummed lightly and mused over her life and training. Also, enjoyed the down time for once in her life. [member="Atheus"]

It took a few moments to find my way through the groups of people going on about their day. I seemed to tower over everyone here. To be honest, I towered over people anyways due to my heritage. Average height of my kind are just under two meters. With me standing at exactly that height, and built like a tank, I was a mountain of flesh compared to many of the people here. I was a man built for battles, and wars. Fighting in many already, I had the scars to prove it.

That's why I stuck out like a sore thumb in this crowd.

I had eyes all over me. Ranging from mothers pulling their children away from me, and others walking out of their way to avoid me as though I were the plague. I had to take this moment to just stop and look around. Something was really off. It was when I noticed that many of them were different. Pointed ears. Fair skin. Thiner bodies than normal base humans. These were near-humans, but different. Not Echani clearly. Nor were they Sephi. They didn't have that lavender or pinkish skin.

I took note of that and continued on my way as I slowly got closer and closer to this temple. As much as I would love to be able to just walk in, I knew I couldn't. I had to find someone who might be able to get me in, or explain some stuff to me. I wanted to learn more just as a feline creature, and hoped that it wouldn't kill me.

I looked around various people. Some were decked out in full armor, others were in rags. Clearly just staff to keep the place clean, or guards, I needed to find.. a student? However, I watched as one girl seemed to fall backwards onto the ground and just lay there relaxing. Her feet kicking back and forth as though she were having a grand ol' time.

She was different. I knew that the instant I saw her. But as soon as I decided to reach through the force to see if she was sensitive to the gifts I had, I found nothing. Not even a life signature. Almost as though she were dead. Yet she was still there. Breathing, kicking, and alive. Was she void of the force entirely? I had heard stories of a species of people coming from outside the galaxy who couldn't be affected by the force, but I knew it was not this people.

Walking up and closer, I came to a stop to stand far enough away that I wouldn't directly break any sort of cultural boundary, but close enough to be able to speak to this girl.

"Hello miss? Do you happen to be a student here?"
