- The digital counter on the back end of the Applicator, which faces the user, shows an accurate percentage of the current vial's remaining supply.
- A sensor on the front of the Applicator will trigger a vibration throughout the tool when it is hovered over an area of the injury it detects as being the deepest point.
- Similarly, this sensor will emit a beeping sound once it has determined that a sufficient amount of bacta has been administered to the injury, to ensure efficient use.
- A speed dial on the side of the Applicator allows the user to choose how fast, or how slow the bacta is applied, giving great flexibility depending on the situation.
- Smart: Utilizing Nakaioma Medical's smart technology much like the LifeScan Pro, the Type-1 Bacta Applicator maximises efficiency by locating the most damaged areas of a patient, and once bacta is being applied, notifying the operator of when the sufficient amount has been used. Saving supplies from being wasted, and ensuring the supplies that are used, are used to their fullest extent.
- Portable: Small and lightweight, the Type-1 Bacta Applicator is designed for individuals to use on the field. Able to fit into many different varieties of medkits, backpacks, holsters, or attach to belts, the Applicator proves no burden to its operator.
- Vial Modular: Capable of applying not just bacta, but any number of liquids, or gelatinous substances, in theory a vial could be filled with more or less anything a user desired, and then applied to whatever they could think of. Although official corporate advertising would attempt to dissuade customers from doing so.
- Major Injuries: A sacrifice for its small size, the Applicator is not designed to heal more serious, or larger-scale injuries, although it can ease pain, or heal a patient long enough for them to be transferred to a medical facility capable of treating them. It is primarily intended to deal with smaller injuries that would otherwise be dealt with a more intrusive, clunkier, and time-consuming medkit.
Initially designed for in-house use only, and intended at first to be exclusive to Nakaioma Medical facilities and personnel. The Type-1 Bacta Applicator found new purpose as a general purpose medical fluid applicator for both the civilian and military markets. Found in the inventories of combat medics, civilian doctors, law enforcement officers, gangsters, and even in the homes of everyday people, the Type-1 Applicator has seen great success in its market purpose. Though videos on the HoloNet have appeared in the years following its release, showing individuals either using it for comedic purposes, or informing users on other useful, but unconventional ways in which the Applicator could be used, such as for applying condiments to food, or as a shampoo dispenser, as odd as it may sound.
