STRENGTHS
- Sealed: The tank has plenty of systems in place to keep the crew safe and allow them to fight in a variety of environments.
- Versatile: The tank features various powerful weapons, capable of engaging a number of targets, big or small.
- Back door: A ramp built into the back of the tank allows for quick entry and exit of the tank. It also allows loading of cargo, small vehicles, or even a squad of personnel
- Simple: The tank is quite conventional and easy to produce, keeping costs low and the vehicle accessible.
- Unmanned: The tank is designed to shelter the crew inside the hull, allowing the turret to be unmanned and to fit more into it.
WEAKNESSES
- Coating: The triprismatic polymer coating is only meant to keep its signature low, not to camouflage the tank entirely
- Unstable: If the tank is destroyed, the reactor and sheer amount of ordinance and ammunition could cause a catastrophic explosion.
- Awareness: Despite all the systems, scanners and cameras, the crew has little situational awareness.
- Slow: While the tank is very easy to manoeuvre, the speed is somewhat lacking
- Cramped: The tank has the capability to fill a number of roles, but the passenger compartment is still rather cramped.
DESCRIPTION
Built as a solution to Hex Incorporated’s new foreign policy and lack of support for its private military, the Type 70 main battle tank is a versatile platform meant to go anywhere and fight anything. One of its big advantages is its massive cargo space and rear ramp, allowing it to transport troops, vehicles, cargo, and even work as a mobile command center or ambulance in warzones.
The tank made a name for itself on Nimban, where they proved very effective in the hands of Hex PMC’s to win a number of fights. It also highlighted some flaws that the company quickly ironed out, mostly concerning the transmission and tracks.
