Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
Intent: This is an upgraded and modernised improvement upon an older, Canon Model. As technology and the eternal arms and armour race of the various factions of the galaxy continues on, There comes a time when older, time honoured technology becomes obsolete and a new thing must rise up to take its place to remain competitive. That is the purpose of this technology

Description: The Type-D 505 Battle Dragon is an improvement upon the iconic Hapan Battle Dragons... arguably the most unorthodox capital ships in the Galaxy with a VERY distinctive shape. The Type-D 505 looks very much like it's predecessor, but is 50% larger. It is still slower than the other warships common in the Hapes Consortium and likely most of the galaxy and less manoeuvrable, but has a class 1.5 Hyper-drive, improved shielding near the vulnerable engines, has more targeting computers running the most modern targeting technology, and has additional weapons.
It comes packing with 50 Turbolaser batteries and 50 ion cannon batteries, both mounted on rotary discs. When one battery fires, it is moved aside allowing a fresh one to fire, and so on. This increases it's firing rate to up to 3 times that of a conventional capital ship. Even though the turbolasers are modernised, the innovative and notoriously mean design still remains because it is practical, it works, and its scary to any who would initially scoff at the ship's unorthodox appearance and will surely erase any doubts of its performance in a hurry. On Dorsal and Ventral mounts, there are triple-linked Heavy Ion Cannon turrets capable of disrupting ships twice its size with a direct hit from each, provided the high-firing rate rotary cannons render the target unshielded. 20 proton torpedo missile tubes make this ship easily the heavy-weapons guy in a naval battle. Just to add insult to injury, its 16 pulse-mass interdiction mine dispensers will yank a passing fleet out of hyperspace and/or prevent a fleet from running to hyperspace. It has tractor beam capability and it can carry 42 Fighters in its carrier bay.
The obvious strength is the sheer amount of fire-power it can dish out in a short time frame compared to that of more conventional ships. However, while it's predecessor's documented flaws are duly noted and attempts have been made to rectify them, concentrated Ion fire on the rear of the ship can disrupt the shielding temporarily, leaving the engines vulnerable much like the old Battle Dragons. Shields regenerate efficiently, however, as a means of making up for it.
