STRENGTHS

• Filtration - Type-E armor included an advanced rebreather and synthmesh filtration system which allowed the wearer to fight even under in hazardous conditions or under attack by chemical weapons for extended periods, and even featured a lightweight temperature regulator to prevent fogging of one's goggles.
• Heavy Armor - Type-E armor was made from heavy duraplast plates, the design philosophy of which placed notable emphasis on protecting the upper body which was the most likely to be exposed while engaging from trenches, though could withstand a couple direct hits in close quarters whilst raiding enemy fortifications as well.

WEAKNESSES

• Oxygen Supply - While lightweight and low profile, the oxygen supply built into the backplate of Type-E armor was made of thinner duraplast than the backplate itself to reduce weight, and was thus more easily pierced. To make matters worse, the contained oxygen was highly flammable, leading to a quick-release magna lock system being built into the two part torso armor, allowing the wearer to quick release the torso segments and filtration tubing for fear of a fiery death, although one was advised to act quickly.
• Openings - The Type-E armored suit was designed primarily with trench warfare in mind, favoring protection of the upper body over the legs, which the Echnosian designers believed a lower priority due to the expected presence of trenches. While a boon whilst quickly rushing from position to position, this design philosophy left the lower body exposed in other scenarios.

DESCRIPTION
The forges of Echnos had been hard at work ever since Darth Anathemous was made governor, supplying technology to the sith order's various military organizations throughout it's following history under her leadership. The "Echnosian type trenchwarfare and hazardous environment suit" or simply "Type-E armor" was one of the city's few exports with a local history behind it, having been designed for the moon's PDF who favored trench warfare in defense of the otherwise lifeless flatlands and poisonous atmosphere of Echnos.

Given a shiny new coat of black paint, symbolic of the world's integration into the dark legions of the sith, Echnosian arms and armor began to see use across sith battlefields both within and without.
