  • KNOWN STRENGTHS

    • Analytical - Can quickly evaluate a battlefield and its individual components to anticipate the enemy's movements as well as her own.
    • Perceptive - Inclined to observe details or clues that might initially be overlooked or otherwise go unnoticed. Tyrias may also associate seemingly unrelated pieces of information to arrive at an effective conclusion.
    • Precognition - As it does with female Chiss born with Force sensitivity, Tyrias no longer possesses the hyper-aware precognition of Third Sight she did as a child. However, more than enough remains to warn her of hazards, perils, or where an opponent might seek to strike next.
    • Battle Meditation - Tyrias' ability to focus, desire for efficiency and effectiveness, and cultural emphasis on community led to discovering a talent for Battle Meditation. It does require surrendering command of battle for the duration of the effect, however, which makes it far from her first inclination.

    KNOWN WEAKNESSES

    • High Expectations - The Chiss demand respect. They expect people to have self-respect to be honest and driven to excellence, and to show respect to others by following through on any commitments made. Failure to show such respect denigrates that person in the eyes of the Chiss; this can result in no longer being assigned to important missions, conversation being all but impossible, or confinement being a lasting and unpleasant experience.
    • Duty Bound - Chiss have the same expectations for themselves that they expect of other species. As a result, if orders are given those orders are carried out unless it becomes impossible to do so or strategically counterproductive to do so.
    • Diminishing Returns - Victory alone is not enough. If there is only a net loss with no strategic gain as a result, a battle is not worth pursuing further. This may conflict with the need to respect one's chain of command, however, and result in considerable personal reflection on whether she prioritized the correct principle.
    • Force Limited - Force sensitive Chiss are not known to be diverse in their abilities. Unlike most Jedi or Sith, Tyrias only has a handful of powers at her disposal.

  • Blue skin and glowing, red eyes. The ignorant might mistake Tyrias as a Pantoran; while the wise will not underestimate a Chiss' command of battle.
  • Surprisingly friendly and outgoing, running counter to stereotypes of a cold, ruthless, and aloof species. Behind the smile, however, exists the same brutal efficiency and lofty expectations people expect from a Chiss. While many in the galaxy fall far, far short of her expectations, Tyrias understands the benefit of being more social and appearing to be a more personable commander. Engendering trust from non-Chiss can raise the effectiveness of a unit.
  • As a young Chiss girl with Third Sight, Tyrias's ability was used by the Ascendancy to navigate perilous regions of space none other could. It was a duty expected of her, and one she did admirably until the Sight -- as it does in all Chiss with the ability -- was no longer reliable. At that time, she set upon a course of learning how to command Chiss forces. Once more, duty demanded she contribute to the whole.

In her adolescence, intruders managed to board the vessel Tyrias was training on. As they sought to decouple their ship and leave, the young Chiss woman slipped aboard at the last second and disarm their remote detonator for explosives they left behind. Trapped on their ship as they fled, she struck a deal with their commander to end the slaughter that ended in a stale mate between the two parties. Their time together had been short before she was presented to the one that hired them. The betrayal of their agreement was not lost on Tyrias. Having noted the condition of the operation she managed to convince the criminal organization to accept her aid in exchange for fair treatment.

This arrangement went surprisingly smoothly. It also triggered a Confederate crackdown on the operation as Tyrias managed to excise embedded informants, which forced the Ministry's hand. When the raid was over, the Chiss woman presented herself to the Confederate forces and again laid out why they should accept her into their ranks rather than incarcerate her. She explained why severing their contacts forced them to strike and in so doing spare her from helping such filth.

While happy to engage in personal combat -- something that later became a personal hobby -- Tyrias had more interest in the Confederacy's naval forces. It appeared the Confederacy had a great reliance on technology; a facet that both excited and concerned the young woman. Droids did not fail to obey commands, and they would more often than not accomplish their missions provided adequate intelligence and appropriate resource allocation. However, droids or automation lacked the intuition and creativity more often than not of organics -- at least any model that was mass-produced. From where the Chiss woman stood they could use someone like herself. In turn, the Ascendancy could use someone like her embedded among such a large faction. Whether they would reach out to her only time would tell as the Ministry would no doubt be watching if she sought them out instead.
  • No Criminal Record or Collected Bounties at this time.
  • No Known Associates at this time.
    • Coming Soon - Chiss are Private People
