- [Deception] - Powers like Mind Trick and Force Cloak are Tyrin's preferred weapons. These are the kinds of powers he was trained in rigorously at the Umbaran Sith Academy. As a result of his heritage as an Umbaran and his initial training, Tyrin is highly adept in Force powers that aid him in manipulating and deceiving other people.
- [Form III: Soresu] - Tyrin, preferring stealth as opposed to up-close and personal combat, took up the form of Soresu when being tutored at the Umbaran Sith Academy. He has constantly trained and refined himself in this form, becoming an expert in it.
- [Form VII: Juyo] - The last stop in Tyrin's odyssey of trying to find a form that suits him. Tyrin took up the form of Juyo and learned to use it proficiently over his years as Emperor.
PERSONALITY:
Tyrin is a very relaxed, calculating individual. He very rarely seems to be outwardly disturbed or bothered by anything, almost always retaining a well paced yet maddeningly calm demeanor. He is very diplomatic and friendly for a Sith. When he speaks, Tyrin is unusually humble and, occasionally, simpering. He prides himself on being a reasonable, rational, and pragmatic individual; which he is, at least when not provoked into a battle related frenzy. He puts business before pleasure at every turn, or likes to think he does.
He often enjoys cracking wise and, overall, just being derisive towards others when the situation allows it. He finds himself amusing, possibly more than other people do. His humor tends to be dark, but he knows when to keep it light instead. His friendly, hospitable demeanor, while not a sham, is merely the surface of darker machinations. As an Umbaran, Tyrin is often both secretive and manipulative, rarely if ever disclosing his true intentions to others. Coupled with that, Tyrin harbors the ruthless cunning and lust for power, renown, and influence associated with Sith. A nice Sith is still a Sith.
Tyrin is also somewhat of a perfectionist. He always tries to do things thoroughly and to the absolute best of his ability. Because Tyrin is pragmatic, reasonable, and above all, rational, he often thinks himself immune to the shortcomings of other, lesser Sith. The reality couldn't be farther from the truth, but his perception and intelligence are often enough on their own to keep him from falling for every temptation in the book. Still, while they help, he is not nearly as invulnerable to being fooled as he would like to think.
BIOGRAPHY:
The tale of Tyrin is a dull affair, so recounting it is best kept brief. Tyrin Ardik was born somewhere on Umbara, to a family of the "untouchable" lower castes. While in his infancy, an upper caste member somehow discovered that Tyrin had a very strong connection to the Force. In keeping with Umbaran methodology, the nobleman had Tyrin's immediate family perish under the pretenses of an accident, whisking away the force-sensitive infant to raise as his own personal lackey. If anyone was aware of the treacherous noble, no one cared enough to stop him. Such was life on Umbara.
At any rate, it soon occurred to the nobleman that he was not qualified to foster the abilities of force sensitives. The nobleman instead greased the palms of a few powerful individuals and immediately had Tyrin dropped off at the Umbaran Sith Academy when he came of age. The plan was for Tyrin to return to the nobleman for service once he completed his training, but, as Tyrin excelled in his instruction and showed clear prowess, he began to catch the attention of instructors. Aside from his natural skill, Tyrin only notably differed from his colleagues in his preference of a regular blade over that of a pike.
The instructors brought this to the attention of a Sith, who allowed the nobleman to go through with his selfish plans. In the nobleman's service, Tyrin acted as little more than a personal assassin and errand boy. He killed several of the nobleman's rivals before being being offered a real apprenticeship under Sith. Tyrin quickly accepted, and was told of his actual origins. Subsequently, he was told to deal with the nobleman as he saw fit.
Ultimately, Tyrin left the nobleman alone. Were it not for him, he would have lived and died some sort of peasant. That, and Tyrin honestly could not say he would have done any differently.

HISTORY:
[01]
After being cut loose, Tyrin floated between worlds haphazardly, intending to simply see what the Galaxy had to offer. Such activities grew stale after a while, but he lacked a higher purpose to fall back on. One fine evening, while visiting a Mandalorian planet, a bar fight between a duo of Sith and Mandalorians broke out. Tyrin witnessed a schism take place among the Mandalorians, when one by the name of RC opened fire on his former Mandalore. RC fled the battle after that and would later found an opposition group to the current Mandalore: the Death Watch. RC was followed shortly in retreat by the two Sith. Tyrin happily covered his colleague's escape, though was nearly killed by a grenade, a Cathar with a slugthrower, and the Mandalore. To his credit, he did manage to beat one Mandalorian, after a fashion. [C]
[02]
After that, Tyrin realized the potential of gain from assisting this newly founded Death Watch. He invited them to Raxus Prime, where he held a meeting in secret among the wreckage and rubble. Tyrin illustrated his plan passionately and intelligently to the assembled Death Watch, among which was RC and his lieutenant, Mereel Vaun. They were pleased with what he had to say, and RC appointed Tyrin as an adviser to his cause. From there, Tyrin put the first phase of his plan into motion. Through a powerful friend among the Umbaran nobility, Tyrin was able to secure a hefty sum of money from the InterGalactic Banking Clan. He utilized the money to establish a front organization, Ardik Holdings, from which he would exert influence on the Galaxy's seedier characters. [C]
[03]
Before Tyrin could establish the meeting, all Mandalorians (Death Watch included) were hurriedly called to Vjun to meet with Darth Apparatus. While Tyrin was no Mandalorian, he attended anyway at RC's request. Among the spattering of those attending was the Mandalore, who was issued a direct challenge by Darth Apparatus for leadership of the Mandalorians. Much to Tyrin's amusement, Mandalore refused, calling four gunships and an orbital strike to kill Darth Apparatus. During the chaos, Tyrin and the other Death Watch in attendance departed expeditiously, staying just long enough to see Darth Apparatus flee the scene as well. [C]
[04]
Once that debacle was over, Tyrin was free to establish connections among his first target group: pirates. He invited several of the more famous pirates, but the vast majority of them completely ignored his message. Tyrin was not left alone in the dark, however, as the suave Captain Jack Sparrow and the merciless Lord Commander Ironwolf attended. A lone pirate by the name of Kring was among them as well. Not the least bit phased, Tyrin orated his offers and plans for them just as he had the Death Watch on Raxus Prime. After some discussion of methodology and the need for reliable intelligence concerning the movements of Mandalorian trade ships, a deal was reached and the the three agreed to become involved. [C]
[05]
Tyrin was pulled away from his personal affairs by the Battle of Roche. Heeding the call to arms, Tyrin lead a smalls squad of Umbaran Shadow Assassins deep into Nickel One with the intention of terminating the leader of the Verpine pro-Republic faction. Despite the timely arrival of Sith Lady Kiara Allana Decoix and a sudden appearance by Darth Apparatus, Tyrin failed grievously in his mission. The Verpine was spirited away due to the efforts of the psychopathic Jesta and an Omega soldier known only as Sarge. Tyrin was granted command of a contingent of Sith assassins Lady Decoix had brought with her before she departed, and Tyrin subsequently lead them to defend the Munitions plant. A battle was already raging there, between a Sith Knight by the name of Mikhail Shorn and Rosa Mazhar. While their duel raged on, Tyrin was forced to engage a child-Jedi named A'donari Cinn. During their fight, a contingent of Death Watch commandos lead by Akura Yavis arrived to intervene, but were ordered to assault a power generator for an Ion cannon by Tyrin instead.
Tyrin underestimated his opponent and, after being wounded and having his arm broken, was forced to flee back into the Munitions Facility. A sudden avalanche covered his escape. He immediately called for a medic, but then ordered his contingent of assassins to comb the facility for anyone else and fortify the facility's sole remaining entrance with a duo F-Web turrets. A Republic agent named Jesta, a mentally unstable sociopath, attempted to breach the position utilizing a Death Watch commando tricked into becoming a suicide bomber. This attempt was thwarted, and Jesta was subsequently unable to enter the facility due to the presence of the F-Web turrets. As he pondered his next course of action, Akura Yavis ambushed him. Tyrin heard the voice of his colleague as she yelled at Jesta, and went to investigate. Jesta challenged them both to "a game" stating that if they both beat him in unarmed combat, he would leave the Munitions Facility alone. Unable to help due to his injuries, Tyrin deferred to Akura.
Jesta proceeded to stand there and do nothing, and so Tyrin returned to the Munitions Facilit and remained there until the end of the battle of Roche. When the Republic negotiated the withdrawal of Sith forces, they took the remaining assassins and left. [C]
[06]
Some time after the Battle of Roche, Tyrin accompanied RC and several other members of the Death Watch to Taris for a meeting with another Sith Apprentice- Jinn Sibot. Jinn expressed his desire to overthrow the current Empress and instill himself as the ruler of the Sith Empire and asked the Death Watch to assist him when the time came. Tyrin argued against this, going so far as to insult Jinn for what Tyrin saw as over-ambition and folly. They presumably left rather unceremoniously after that. [C]
[E]
After his meeting with Jinn Sibot on Taris, Tyrin was promoted from a Sith Apprentice to Sith Knight.
[07]
Growing frustrated with the fact that the only Lightsaber form he knows is Soresu, Tyrin sought training in the variant of Form V: Djem So. He put the word out that he would reward whoever helped get his training in the form off the ground with training in the difficult technique of Force Cloak. Eventually, the Whiphid Master Velok appeared to instruct Tyrin, beginning the training with rigorous, yet also tedious, exercises in the simple footwork associated with Djem So. Eventually, they proceeded on to the actual lightsaber play associated with the form. Before long, Tyrin was skilled enough in Djem So to utilize it in combat. [C]
[08]
Tyrin Ardik, along with Akura Yavis and RC 212, were invited to Nal Hutta for a meeting with Tefga the Hutt. Among the notables also called to the meeting were Avicus DuSang, a Sith Master in service of the Hutt Cartel, Vodaasi the Hutt, Circe Savan of the Subach-Innes Corporation and Galactic Trade Guild, "Grand" Admiral Dranok Lussk, and the leader of the Blue Hawks, Serena Williams. [TBC]
[09]
Sometime later, an assortment of Tyrin's personal holodisks were stolen from the Ardik Holdings facility on Raxus Prime. Among his family recipe for Vixus Tentacle Stew, were important schematics central to the Death Watch's development of their own starfighter. Tyrin joined RC and Piraiba in pursuit of the thief to Dagobah. Their LAAT was subsequently caught in a storm, and they crashed into the swamp. They were later joined by Jax Kage, who's ship crashed for similar reasons. While they were debating what to do next, they encountered the mentally unstable Jesta, who had already subdued the thief and hid the holodisks someplace in the forest. After a brief confrontation, Jesta relinquished the holodisks back to Tyrin and left, alluding to a factory within the forest.
Intrigued, RC opted to follow, and Tyrin went after his commander dutifully. Jesta slipped away, being swept up by his shuttle. Undaunted, Tyrin, Jax, and RC continued on in pursuit of the factory, and potentially their only way off planet. Since they are no longer stranded on Dagobah, it is presumed they successfully found their way home. [C]
[E]
Tyrin is promoted to Executor of the Death Watch, effectively making him second-in-command.
[10]
Tyrin arrived at the Battle of Mandalore via a drop pod launched from the Death Watch's capital ship: the Dreadstar. After securing the LZ, located on the outskirts of Mandalore's capital city of Keldabe, Tyrin led Piraiba and several other Death Watch in a bid to seize control of Keldabe's Ion Cannons. After fighting through the streets for several hours, the Death Watch were able to breach the compound. Fighting in the courtyard erupted, and so Tyrin attempted to use the distraction to go straight for the control center. He was intercepted by HK-36, and the two proceeded to duel. Tyrin's mask was broken by a punch from the droid, prompting the Umbaran to unleash a powerful Force Scream which sent the droid flying from the building. Tyrin was then engaged by a cyborg called Val-ient, before breaking off and obscuring himself in the force and steam that had erupted into the room.
Misleading the cyborg and droid into believing that he had escaped, Tyrin entered the control room and tricked the technician present there into helping him reprogram the system. Another Sith Knight, Zaiden James, arrived to engage the Cyborg and the droid, giving Tyrin more than enough time to fulfill his objective. Following his completion of the objective, the Death Watch were forced to retreat from the scene, which Tyrin accomplished via crawling through an air vent, sprinting out of the building, and hopping aboard an LAAT gunship. From there, he returned to the prefabricated base, where he rendezvoused with the Death Watch's commanders and Darth Apparatus. [TBC]
[11]
Sometime after the battle, Tyrin met with two more pirates: the Jawa Triko and the self-titled human Grand Admiral Dranok Lussk. He invited them both to the same abandoned mining station he had gathered pirates at before and also attempted to persuade the two of them to the Death Watch's cause of pirating and pillaging Mandalorian trade ships. The affair, like its predecessor, was a success and the two pirates did not even have any follow up questions once the affair was complete. Presumably, all three left the station very happy. [C]
[12]
Somewhere in deep space, a Lucrehulk-class Battleship emerged in an attempt to ambush the Dreadstar. Tyrin, happening to be be aboard at the time, hopped into an LAAT to engage in boarding operations with the rest of the Death Watch. Tyrin and RC teamed up to take down a mutated behemoth wielding strange, makeshift weapons. Mereel Vaun and RC, joined later by more commandos, pressed forward into the ship to kill its captain and take control. Tyrin, meanwhile, was stuck in the hangar he had landed in, fighting Geonosians with his lightsaber and newly acquired Wrist Blaster. [C]
[13]
Following a sudden interest in colony world of Donanyd, Tyrin was appointed to act as a diplomat on behalf of the Sith Empire. His objective was simple: persuade the Council to forsake an alliance with the Mandalorians and Republic in favor of the Sith Empire. It seemed easy enough, especially for an Umbaran, but misgivings about the behavior of his fellow Sith left him nervous nonetheless. [TBC]
[14]
Tyrin arrived on Caluula Station in search of more pirates to recruit to his cause of pillaging Mandalorian space. The pirates never appeared, and instead Tyrin happened upon a ramshackle tent established by a con-artist seer and Miraluka: Saoirse Jenulia. Sensing the Miraluka had the potential to become a powerful Force user, Tyrin convinced Saoirse to become his apprentice after a lengthy discussion. [C]
[15]
After searching for some time, Tyrin was able to get into contact with Arinn Vistasis, a young man who had come into possession of a vast fortune after liquidating his father's well-established banking company. Tyrin invited Vistasis to meet with him in his offices on Mustafar, intending to persuade the young man to take a position as the President of Ardik Holdings' upcoming Finance and Banking Branch. [TBC]
